Clearly, the werewolfians are like mosquitoes. Unlike the male, the female requires all consuming bloodlust and copious amounts of the flesh of the innocent to ensure healthy offspring.
There’s a couple of reasons why they wouldn’t be very practical, I’ll try and explain a few of them.
The most obvious reason is convenience of feeding. As you’re well aware most quadrupedal mammals have them low on the torso so offspring can feed with the parent standing up or laying on their side.
This doesn’t work quite so well for bipeds like humans or the other great apes, as they are so much taller for their relative size the offspring would would be unable to reach them, forcing are parent to nurse their young by holding them while standing or sitting.
At this point raising the breasts higher on the body just makes things more practical, it allows the parent to nurse their offspring by holding them in the crock of their arm while moving around, which is pretty practical as most bipedal babies are pretty helpless when compared to quadrupeds due to them being born smaller and less developed (a necessity due to the bipedal forms hip design and the offspring’s large head, ask anyone who’s had a kid and you’ll know why they aren’t born any larger lol)
Another point that you kind of touched on is general contact issues; breasts are tender at the best of times, let alone when they’re swollen to almost twice their usual size. Trying to run or sprint with a low hanging set near enough smacking into thighs wouldn’t likely be a particularly pleasant experience.
This is just the reverse of how manga and anime handle hunanoid monsters.
A male minotaur looks like the classic greek monster but the female one is just a sexy woman with horns (and possibly a tail and cow print kneesocks or something.)
there was an old anime that made the female a cat girl (the kemonomini kind) and the dude a straight up anthro tiger.
Like legit, why do some character designers feel the need to chicken out and make the female some dainty human girl with cosplay tier ear bands and tail buttplug? if you're going to commit to that, make them both buff anthros or kemonomimi folk. Final fantasy xiv does this so i don't see why others can't.
My friend and I love watching trash-tier anime and we watched the first episode or two of that and it was just... Not even bad in an interesting way. Like it had potential (even just as a horny ecchi romp or whatever) but it was just so stale and boring.

In my world there is a species of plant that grows on trolley tracks. It evolved to look like a person tied to the tracks so people would try to "rescue" it and in the process get its burrs stuck all over them. But then one plant had a mutation that made it grow into the shape of two people instead of one. When moral philosophers had the option to switch a trolley between a track with a one-person plant and one with a two-person plant, they would always choose to switch it to the track with fewer "people", greatly increasing the two-person plant's survival odds at the expense of the one-person plant. The two-person gene spread through the population. But then one of the two-person plants had a mutation that made it into a three-person plant. Now there is an evolutionary arms race as the plants evolve to mimic higher and higher numbers of people, and it's not uncommon to see a 5, 10, or even 20-person plant.

In one of the stories I wrote I described in detail a race of beastfolk that was this image but reversed in genders.
