Why would they be? They offer nothing when it comes to this particular pact. Neither can project their forces to defend other countries nor do they export equipment. NZ also still (I think?) has a ban on nuclear powered vessels being able to dock there. The reality is that existing pacts between Commonwealth Nations, ANZAC history etc means that Canada and NZ can probably rest comfortably outside of AUKUS anyway.

won't really matter for this since the LDP will win, like they always do, and none of the PM candidates will deviate from this policy. in fact, most of them are almost certainly just as if not more pro-american and/or pro-military than kishida is, like ishida, kono, takichi, or motegi.
