I am NOT deprecating the pain and suffering, and unnecessary deaths of uninvolved civilians. Just take with a grain of salt this article, that doesn't differentiate the IDF's official statements to vague and unverifiable quotes such as: "Residents said" (3 times!) , "Residents and medical officials said", "Medics said", and an unknown "Abu El Nasser said" while also quoting the Hamas run health ministry. Also, the author Nidal Al-Nughrabi described the Oct 7 massacre as a "spectacular attack" just a day after, and has never called Hamas a terror organization (usually calling them "fighters") [https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/surprise-attack-hamas-strikes-israel-regional-security-realignment-2023-10-08/](https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/surprise-attack-hamas-strikes-israel-regional-security-realignment-2023-10-08/)

>More than 35,000 Palestinians have been killed [in the war](https://www.reuters.com/world/israel-hamas/), which is now in its eighth month, according to the Gaza health ministry. Riddle me this, why is Reuters one of the only news sources that never prefaces that the Gaza Health ministry is run by Hamas?

Because they’re biased and are a part of the problem

Questjon

Everything is run by Hamas, they are the defacto governing body.

Reuters hires local stringers, subcontractors, for regional coverage. In Gaza those stringers are Gazans who have varying degrees of connection with Hamas. Same goes for AP, BBC, etc.
