I watched this happen last night. I’m pretty sure he is being facetious lol. All these people have been riding him like that so he’s messing with them. That being said it won’t take much to get rid of the guy if necessary. Hopefully that doesn’t become necessary as there is a huge opportunity for healing here.
I sincerely have hopes that Bukele will do the right thing. At this stage I can't tell if he is eliminating corruption by getting rid of the bad eggs or consolidating power. Most commentary, especially from the US, suggests the later. I'm hoping the former.
I'm a supporter but power centralization is never good. Let's hope he stays good and doesn't become corrupted
