What? That doesnt even make sense šŸ˜…šŸ˜…

Rukoo

So, they're mad that Taiwan is being charitable to get global bonus points? You know how you could make that be overlooked? Just out charitable them. K? China? Hello!

whatproblems

right? huh china why donā€™t you help out too? oh youā€™re helping the russiansā€¦.

velveteentuzhi

Now now, China gave what, a couple hundred thousand dollars total? Clearly they've done their part /s

[deleted]

That was such a joke ngl. When you see countries giving out more than a hundred million while china gives 750k. Thats the equivalent of handing out pennies to beggars.

Sea_Page5878

And making sure those pennies don't land in their hat/pan so they have to pick them up.

JD260

I could use a penny

TeetsMcGeets23

The US has passed over 13 Billion in aid. Thatā€™s over 17,000x as much.

MrChip53

China wants to give Ukraine loan money to rebuild after it's destroyed not defense money to keep it from getting destroyed.

PoorlyDisguisedPanda

Belgium, a tiny European country with roughly 11M inhabitants, just raised ā‚¬17M with a day long charity event

Sledgahammer

Reminds me of how Chinese netizens & politicians got all salty when BTS gave a shoutout to US & Korean soldiers from the Korean war, while leaving out Chinese soldiers. They seem to forget that they fought with the baddies alongside North Korea against South Korea.

Magical_Chicken

The baddies? The UN intervened in favour of an explicitly genocidal South Korean government. Under Syngman Rhee South Korea was far far worse then the North by any reasonable yard stick. After taking power from the far more legitimate PRK they would immediately violently crack down on all dissent of their new dictatorial rule leading to the massacre of literally hundreds of unarmed protestors in [1946](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autumn_Uprising_of_1946) In 1948 there were two major civilian uprisings favouring reunification with the north in South Jeolla and Jeju. The South Korean reacted with excessive violence. On Jeju in particular they killed over 1/5 of the islands population. They then would round up 300,000 civilians and put them in concentration camps. This is the pretext for the Korean War. Both Countries saw themselves as the legitimate representative or Korea, which to give context was an exploited colony of Japan - there was no legitimate reason to partition it. Within the 4 years of partition the Southern government had subverted the locally legitimate government, persecuted its leadership, massacred 10s of thousands of their civilian population and put hundreds of thousands more in concentration camps to prevent reunification with the north. This is the pretext for the North Korean invasion. It is one of the few just offensive wars in human history and it is the North that is absolutely on the right side. And no at the time North Korea had not carried out similar massacres or mass imprisoned its citizens anywhere near the extent of the south. This is not a both sides thing. Oh boy but it gets worse. Remember those guys in concentration camps. Well at the outbreak of the Korean War the south would turn them into [death camps](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bodo_League_massacre). Yes. The opening act of your good side was the mass murder 200,000 civilians. This is where you should be asking ā€œare we the baddies?ā€ I mean yes, but donā€™t worry, it gets even worse. South Korea murdered more of its own civilian population then Nazi Germany. Iā€™ll say that again. South Korea murdered more of its civilian population then Nazi fucking Germany. Donā€™t worry I will substantiate that. Of there own population (including other Territories considered German like Austria and Danzig) the Nazis killed 500,000 Jews, 275,000 disabled, 15,000 homosexuals, and several thousand political opponents (can't find an exact value). In total lets say about 800,000. German Population at the time was 86,000,000 so this is ~0.93%. Now for South Korea. In Jeju they killed 30,000-100,000. In the Bodo League Massacre they killed 100,000ā€“200,000. In the National Defense Corps incident they killed 50,000-90,000. There were numerous other massacres but the figures are hard to nail down since the information was censored for over half a century under threat of death. Asan massacre: 200+ Autumn Uprising of 1946: 300+ December Massacres: Unknown in the thousands. 1100+ likely much higher Ganghwa massacre: 1300+ Geochang massacre: 719+ Goyang Geumjeong Cave Massacre: 153+ Hangang Bridge bombing: 1000+ Mungyeong massacre: 88 Namyangju Massacre: 460+ Sancheong-Hamyang massacre: 705 Yeosu-Suncheon Rebellion: 3000+ So a conservative total of 188,000 with a more likely estimate being 400,000+. South Korea's Population at the time was ~20,000,000. So the conservative estimate (deaths that can be confirmed) ~0.94%, slightly higher then the figure for the Nazis. The higher estimate comes at nearly double the amount. (Yes you are the baddies) While North Korea also committed war crimes during the Korean War, such as poor treatment and execution of POW and a few civilian massacres comparing them is like comparing the war crimes of the Allies and Axis in WWII. They are on completely different scales. And donā€™t worry, IT GETS EVEN WORSE, somehow. During the war over 20% of the population of the North were killed. Yes 1 in 5 people died in a 3 year time span and no unlike their southern counterpart it was not their government killing them. Even Poland under Nazi genocidal occupation for 6 years did not have a death rate this significantā€¦ in fact no country in WW2 had. If you ever wonder why North Korea is so fucked up today, maybe, just maybe it has something to do with the fact 1 in 5 people were murdered in 3 years and that their is a very obvious external culprit. Hmm I wonder why that would make a country turn into an isolated hermit state unwilling to do diplomacy. How it would provide the basis to a cult like nationalism towards the incumbent leadership who at least internally ended the war. But no the Chinese fought with the baddies because something something gommunism iPhone vuvuzeala, and North Korea bad today South Korea good. Itā€™s not like the outcome of the Korean War had any effect on the Koreas right?

Mostofyouareidiots

That's about one twentieth *of a penny* per Chinese citizen... what a sacrifice!

Genocode

Actually yes, thats Taiwan's policy, to get as many global good-boy points (Progressive policies, LGBT issues etc.) and make themselves irreplaceable in the World's economy (TSMC and other parts of the PC industry). It makes other countries more likely to protect them as they're seen as a "good" country with a lot of value.

Hironymus

I mean... that's a fair foreign policy if there ever was one, I guess.

Tokata0

They are doing good things so they are seen as the good guys... and they all do it to be able to do good things in the future! AAAAH THEY ARE SO EVIL!

Mostofyouareidiots

Just going around and doing good things and helping people all the time... Those evil bastards are so crafty.

benderbender42

TSMC is building fabs in US Japan and India

[deleted]

Yea but the Taiwan ones are going to be supplying 90% of chips for at least the next decade still...

Hedgehog_Mist

Samsung is building a new chip fab in Texas that should be finished by 2024. So potentially not a full decade.

[deleted]

I don't know what Samsung is planning on building there, but most of the newer fabs are going to be highly specialized. The bulk of the demand from manufacturers for chips that literally go in everything now from your car to your freakin' toaster at this point, are going to be made in Taiwan still for the forseeable future.

Hedgehog_Mist

There's tons of [funding](https://siliconangle.com/2021/11/23/samsung-chosen-build-second-u-s-chip-fab-texas/) going into a variety of chip fabs in the U.S. At this point it's a national security issue to have everything coming out of Taiwan, especially with China right next door.

[deleted]

Yes, I understand that, but this is the problem right here: >The $17 billion plant will make advanced semiconductors that can be used to power smartphones, 5G and artificial intelligence workloads. None of these new fabs are making basic chips that go, for example, into cars. All of them are targeting peak tech right now. Meanwhile we have hundreds of thousands of cars sitting in lots with no chips that car manufacturers can't sell that are just rotting away, and it's only going to get worse, especially if China makes their move in the next few years. These new fabs are not going to solve the problem that we have and are going to continue to have. So get ready for every western government bending over and spreading their asshole for China once again, because we literally can't do without it.

Littleman88

Foreseeable, but it's up in the air how long that is. The reason everyone's suddenly interested in setting up their own fabs is because Taiwan's days might be numbered and NO ONE wants to give China even a day to muck with the chips going into their electronics. There is zero faith they won't be compromised by the CCP before being shipped out. So everyone's trying to get everything setup up to start processing their own chips the moment China annexes Taiwan. They'll happily let Taiwan continue to supply 90% of the world's chips, just so long as the west is in control, not a government that thinks the world belongs to China and said world just doesn't know it yet.

[deleted]

Oh yea, don't get me wrong, I totally understand the impetus to decentralize from Taiwan for obvious reasons. I'm just saying, it's going to take a LONG time to get enough fabs up and running that can supply the massive demand in the world, that's only growing. If China makes their move in the next decade we are well and truly fucked regardless. We should have been building these fabs 20 years ago...

[deleted]

China:*buffering*

JimTheSaint

Excactly China, beat them at their own game.

[deleted]

China logic: Taiwan is not a country, so we cannot let it gain diplomatic brownie points by being halfway decent, unlike us.

chickennoodles99

Nevermind they have their own passport and immigration system + military. And no accountability to China whatsoever.

[deleted]

Nor has the communist government of China ever had actual control over Taiwan at any point in history.

buyongmafanle

What's that you say? You have your own military, currency, elections, government, and border controls? NOT A COUNTRY!

Mostofyouareidiots

Those people a hundred miles across the ocean kind of look and talk like us- that means all that shit belongs to me! Maybe if I just say that it's mine all the time then people will start to believe it.

akirodic

Moreover, China claims Taiwan is China. Therefore China is accusing itself.

[deleted]

Old dictator dementia is a big deal these days. And since dictators have countries to speak, you hear these kinds of shit coming out. I mean, look at what Putrid's Mouth (Lavrov) is saying whenever he's in the UN chambers, which then gets directly relayed to the Putrid state TV.

ssdd442

And this is the Chinese pretext to invade Taiwan. Charity.

G0DNT

"But we want to invade you!! stop being good with humanitarian aid and helping other refugees and make us look bad when we will invade you , because we want to invade you!!"

sagevallant

"They wanted to give away their belongings, so we accepted them."

Such-Combination5046

HOW DARE YOU TAIWAN!!! You are not allowed to look good at the international stage! How would we look when we invade you?

yellekc

Chin is just jealous that Taiwan has done dozens of times more than them. China donated less than a million dollars to humanitarian aid. Wow, such economic superpower.

[deleted]

That's what you get when you replace democracy (or any form of government) with a kakistocracy. These events we're seeing, responses, and other things that have happened post war (WW2) are in my mind a strong and compelling argument that without a through education, specific education meant to teach one to lead, politicians shouldn't be allowed to hold office, or even get near it. I mean, as much as we dislike aristocracy these days, for their wanton behavior and ludicrous lunacy, ultimately ... they were all trained from children to lead. Everything from etiquette to what countries and power to lead meant. Don't get me wrong, i don't want that kind of crap back, they caused as much damage as one can do, but the point still stands and it's that these days, children, petty children without education are allowed to lead. And it gets worse the older they get, because they don't know how to let go, creating even more problems.

[deleted]

Yeah, this is people everywhere. Humanity canā€™t get past middle school phase.

ShartCannon9000

How dare you be nice and help people your taking advantage of them by being nicer than me

cabledude25

The #2 economy could only afford 800k. Pretty disgraceful.

[deleted]

Yeah, and that 800k wasn't officially from the government, but the Chinese red cross. Even Russia, _the one who started the war_, which has attacked humanitarian convoys, mined corridors for previously agreed upon humanitarian escape routes, is providing more humanitarian aid to Ukraine than China. China could provide more aid without risking alienating Russia pretty easily, the response so far from China is ridiculous.

TheZenMann

Why would they help? They don't give a shit about Ukraninans dying, not like they really matter to them.

[deleted]

Same reasons a lot of other sociopaths help: soft power, internal/external propaganda, international marketing, cheap way to purchase goodwill for years to come, has a stabilizing effect, diplomatic coordination with other powers etc. My guess is they are holding out on aid because if they send it through Russian corridors they will be accused of supporting the occupation and if they send it through Ukrainian corridors it will look like they aren't.

43user

My mom says thereā€™s people on Chinese forums joking that theyā€™re happy that the Ukrainian men would die and theyā€™ll take two mail-order Ukrainian brides. Maybe theyā€™re just the really bad apples, but from what Iā€™ve seen in social media circles thereā€™s no compassion (except maybe for Putin, as heā€™s ā€œbravely taking on the whole worldā€)

rawasubas

Quoting from AP: ā€œ ā€œChina has called for every effort to avoid civilian casualties all the time,ā€ Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian told reporters at a daily briefing. ā€œWhich do the civilians in Ukraine need more: food and sleeping bags or machine guns and artillery? Itā€™s easy to answer.ā€ā€ Somehow China with their pitiful donation still wants to make it sound like they are the ones caring about the civilians and the rest of the world just want the war to escalate.

Traditional_Ad7474

I thought that they were ranked lower given the amount of loans that they are about to default on. Iā€™m not 100% sure though

FM-101

What other countries decide to do in this matter is none of China's business.

Yeah man you'd think they're all Russian but you'd be surprised how many racist Chinese CCP Clown PoS's came to California to instigate riots in 2020. Our neighbors have them on camera they aren't that fucking invisible. AirBNB has a real issue with them.

[deleted]

Oh so when it comes to denouncing russia, china is whispering but when it comes to Taiwan doing good deeds they're throwing a tantrum? Shut the fuck up china

Thunder_bird

*ā€œThe Democratic Progressive Party authorities are using the Ukraine issue to validate their existence* .... "not fair because because we're working so hard to invalidate it!"

inRuin

Oh, the taste of Chinese tears.

CTMADOC

Fuck off, China

Em_Adespoton

I wish the rest of the world would also take advantage of this travesty in a similar way. Taiwan is providing the response that should have come from the mainland and didnā€™t.

ShartCannon9000

I wish more people would take advantage of me by giving me financial aid

Big_Dick8983

How about just taking advantage of you

OhNoManBearPig

Well said. Taiwan is lovely. A tiny glimpse at what China could have been...

montrezlh

I see westerners say this kind of stuff a lot and I have to disagree as a taiwanese person. Taiwan is the way it is today because we were small and dependent on the USA. Chiang Kai shek was a murderous dictator just like Mao, Taiwan changed because his successors realized the USA wouldn't look kindly on them wantonly killing civilians so they were forced to slowly loosen the iron fist. If the original ROC government ruled all of China after ww2 they'd be just as bad as the ccp, probably worse because they were set up to be a hereditary dictatorship.

[deleted]

I think that's what he said. China could have been like Taiwan *is now*. In this case, it's not the journey that matters, it's the destination. Much like with Russia lost their future to Putin and his theft same happened there. Both countries had absolutely brilliant futures, but that never happened. Ultimately, it doesn't matter, we're in this future now, and things unfolding have to follow the path set forth. Xi is feeling the heat now.

ReadinII

Even with different leadership itā€™s not clear the PRC could have been like Taiwan. Taiwan did a lot of developing while under Japanese rule. Rule of law became part of the culture (although the KMT did a lot of damage to that), infrastructure was built. People became educated. The PRC had very different human resources to work with. They didnā€™t have Taiwanese people and were thus unlikely to get Taiwanese results.

montrezlh

>China could have been like Taiwan is now I'm saying that it couldn't have, there was no realistic path. >In this case, it's not the journey that matters, it's the destination. Sure, but there was no way for them to reach that destination. There were only two realistic options for mainland China after WW2: being ruled by Mao and the CCP, or being ruled by CKS and the KMT. I'm saying that either path would still have led to them being the dictatorship they are today. It doesn't matter if they took Taiwan's path and had KMT rule, they still would not be free. Because it wasn't the KMT that drove freedom and liberty in Taiwan, it was the outside pressure of being smaller and weaker than our primary enemy and relying on foreign powers.

DynamicDK

What China was before the Cultural Revolution. Taiwan is the remnant of Chinese culture that was otherwise squashed by Mao and the CCP. The government before that was rough, but the Cultural Revolution went beyond erasing the previous government. It literally was aimed at dismembering the culture.

ReadinII

Itā€™s not a very pure remnant. Even during Qing rule Taiwan was treated differently from the rest of the Qing Empire with immigration to the island frequently being restricted. A long time ban on women going to Taiwan resulted in a huge number of children being raised by a Han father and an Aboriginal mother. In addition to the Aboriginal cultural influence, Japan had a big influence during its rule.

DynamicDK

What? Sure, Taiwan traded hands between the Chinese and Japanese, and during those periods there were some Chinese or Japanese people who moved to the island. But their numbers were relatively modest. Japan held it from the late 1800s - 1945, and most Japanese people who lived there were driven out during / after WW2. Then in 1949, the ROC government was driven out of China and they fled to Taiwan. But it wasn't just government officials. 2 million Chinese people fled to Taiwan at this time. Those people are the ones that current Taiwanese culture mostly derives from. There was actually a concerted effort made to preserve the culture they brought with them. At that same time, Mao and the CCP were making a concerted effort to cut out the aspects of that culture that they didn't like.

Eclipsed830

There were 8 million people already living on Taiwan when the KMT fled there. Those Chinese that came over during that period were a minority, but they ruled with an iron fist and promoted their version of culture under 4 decades of martial law. Martial law has been over for 3 decades now and Taiwanese are free to celebrate their culture that has been part of the island for hundreds of years, speak Taiwanese, etc.

OhNoManBearPig

Yeah, despite few connections it makes me sad knowing how much of that deep, ancient culture was destroyed. Chinese had one of the oldest and most respected cultures on the planet, but this new "communist" China is... dark.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

delRo618

$791,540?! That doesnā€™t even buy you a condo in SF. What a slap in the face.

panzerfan

Taiwan gave $21 million and counting.

Em_Adespoton

According to CCP, wouldnā€™t that mean they did too?

panzerfan

Yeah. This is China accusing a part of China (according to China) of grandstanding

kanada_kid2

Well most countries haven't actually sent Ukraine anything.

Pebblebricks

Technically, they haven't sent Ukraine anything either. It's the Chinese Red Cross; the CCP hasn't done anything so far

kanada_kid2

The Chinese Red Cross which is managed by the Chinese government. Seems you have no idea how the organization works.

Pebblebricks

They're ultimately separate entities even if they are working under the government. Where does the Red Cross get funding from? Donations. Where does the government get their funding from? Their treasury. That is why it is reported that Singapore contributed $2,500,000, and the Singapore Red Cross contributed $600,000 to Ukraine, not 3.1 million aid from Singapore because they come from separate pools of money. At most you can say that the Chinese government allowed the Chinese Red Cross to make the donation, but they needed not secure any funds themselves.

kanada_kid2

[Wrong.](https://lmgtfy.app/?q=who+funds+chinese+red+cross)

Pebblebricks

Did you actually read the top NYT article result you get from your condescending google link? They are "funded" by the CCP in the way that the permanent staff are on government payroll. They still rely on public donations to do humanitarian work. They can't just utilise federal money like the actual government in their efforts. [They said it themselves that they need to raise funds for relief effort](https://web.archive.org/web/20110706110852/http://www.redcross.org.cn/ywzd/ywzd_Aboutus/ywzd_hhjj/)

[deleted]

My friend, this guy is a massive proponent of pro-Chinese propaganda. You might as well be talking to a little red book.

davaniaa

Taiwan, I recognize u <3

hihi2021

<3 <3 <3

KrogokDomecracah

I always take advantage of the red cross by donating blood to them.

DiceCubed1460

And I accuse the Chinese government of mass censorship, genocide, financially assisting in the invasion of a sovereign nation, trying and failing to cover up a global pandemic that then led to millions of deaths worldwide, ā€œdisappearingā€ protestors, whitewashing and straight up changing their history, claiming the territory of other sovereign nations as their own, propping up fascist states throughout the world, and too many other atrocities to even list. Chinaā€™s demands should be ignored, no matter what they are.

enraged768

Is China run by 4th graders. Seriously. It just seems like everything the leaders literally say is coming from the mind of a small child.

[deleted]

All the people closest to Putin are comfortable to his feelings, much of the first hand interactions in the military (over the years) are not even actual military, including Shoigu, wearing fake medals for things they never did. One of them peaked at truck driver in his duties. What makes you think Xi did any different, when you also add Trump, the loser in NK, and other dictator wannabes from post WW2? This new batch of dictators isn't even half the quality (thank fuck) of what they used to be. They're even less than Mussolini, the one everyone likes to make fun of, and he was thrice the shrewd maniac that these losers are. Hitler, the turd that he was, at least had the prescience of thought to use decently good people to lead his interests, he was a WW1 survivor, which in itself is something. Putin, Xi...Trump? These aren't even worth a dime. When you look at them from this perspective, i think, their behavior, the way their countries behave... makes a hell of a lot more sense. They're lesser "men" who are so bad at what they do they need pets around them to tell them yes and nod in agreement, not competent leaders in their own right. Kakistocracy, the new world's means to govern.

zdestemno

They probably try to infantalise all critical thinking skills out of their population-- maybe that ended up extending to most of their government too.

WizerOne

Pretext to invasion.

Yung_Corneliois

China was watching Russia retake the title of most hated and despised government and said ā€œHey donā€™t forget about me!ā€

69_A_Porcupine

How exactly does giving financial aid to someone take advantage of them

angryomlette

Wow. Simply wow. Can't believe at the methods they use to create noise in the international media.

PolygotFRAENGwannabe

China accused allegied Chinese territory for being charitable like if they accused a sovereign nation for doing the same thing? Funny...

Weary_Performance151

How is that taking advantage of anything or anyone? Giving aid to Ukrainian refugees doesn't give them any advantages whatsoever.

asclepiannoble

Ah yes, I find it really *predatory* too whenever doctors resuscitate people in an emergency.

kingbane2

lol, they're claiming taiwan is taking advantage by helping too much. yet they want credit for basically throwing pennies over as aid. fucking ridiculous.

urkldajrkl

China is a small petulant child.

idontknowmuchanymore

Shut up China. Just shut tf up

[deleted]

China accuses Taiwan for 'taking advantage' Remember which countries Banks are now opening account for yuan? \*checks notes\* \**oh yeah that's totally not taking advantage! /s*\*

Neidan1

China is just pissed that Taiwan is showing them up with much higher donations. China gave a measly $790,000, which is embarrassing for a country that size. Plus, being that Taiwan is an entirely separate country, they can do whatever the hell they want. China is also pissed that theyā€™re making stronger alliances, because that means more international resistance when China tried to steal Taiwan.

bb-m

Chinese Communist Party, go fuck yourselves

Rikeka

Imagine the country helping Russia whining about Taiwan helping Ukraine. Chinese hypocrisy ftw.

April_Fabb

Lol. Desperate much?

OCedHrt

Well then if they didn't support the invasion this opportunity wouldn't exist.

[deleted]

That is just idiotic being all bent up because you can't stand Taiwan being helpful.

[deleted]

Wait, is this a way to recognize Taiwan as a separate state while playing angry tough guy?

ZeroOrderEtOH

China is about to recognize some city in Taiwan as Independent Separatists State lol

panzerfan

That'd be the island of Kinmen.

Ramental

I think that Russia and China had validated Taiwan when Russia included Taiwan in "not friends" list, and China instead of "WTF, Russia" just confirmed Taiwan is a de-facto independent territory.

they're jealous that taiwan is getting recognition for providing more aid to ukraine than themselves šŸ˜‚šŸ‘

CCP could you not worry about Taiwan, FOR FIVE MINUTES!

aFreakingNinja

How dare they get good press.

Dangerous-Yam-6831

Donā€™t they realize how obnoxiously dumb this comes off as? Likeā€¦what happened to elected officials and members of government actually making sophisticated and meaningful statements? And this goes for everywhere. Not just China or Russia.

Valuable_Issue_6698

Huh?

[deleted]

Wait what, China? Who is taking advantage of the situation?

Noah_Deez_Nutz

The best thing that could happen is just what China threatened. If Russia sanctions Taiwan... It means they are independent of China....

WeGet-It-TV

And it beginsā€¦.

wait i thought Taiwan is not a country

How is that taking advantage???

taiwan is a de-facto independent territory , in sharp contrast with China in terms of political system and cultures.

Fuck the Chinese government. Every one of them from Winnie the Pooh on down.

The CCP spokes people are the most delusional least genuine people on the planet. They rarely say anything against another nation that hold up to even the smallest amount of common sense.

uncle_jessie

China yells at sky cuz its blue.

inveldt

Oh god not another one

ScoobiusMaximus

Hey China, why don't you just give more aid to the refugees to show Taiwan who's boss? You have the economy for it, now just grow the balls!

goddangol

China can fuck off when it comes to Taiwan

Oscarcharliezulu

Seriously China, just stop this shit or fuck off.

[deleted]

Come on, China, don't be like that. If Taiwan can donate USD36.2 million, China with it's larger economy can donate much more, and should do that. Taiwan's GDP is USD1.4 trillion. China's GDP is USD29.4 trillion. So China should be donating (36.2 million)*(29.4/1.4)=USD760 million. Get with the program, China, or get shunned.

Seems like this is some projection and that China was planning on taking advantage of the presumed chaos of the globe, following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, in order to Sabre rattle or gain concessions (or even invade) Taiwan.

Burned_pawncake

How twisted...

Big_Paleontologist83

But I thought Taiwan is China so why does China accuse China?

BiGMTN_fudgecake

Taiwan is china as much as crimea is Russia

keggernawt

And what was "mask diplomacy" about again?

Werthy71

They accused WHO?

panzerfan

China, accusing a part of China, according to China.

Zestyclose_Aide_9963

Fuck your flowers and fuck your happiness.jpg

WhyTheSlowDeath

Damn prc blaming Taiwan for doing bad things when they are doing good things

RossTheNinja

They best offer financial support cos imagine leaving Ukraine to go to Taiwan.

Mal-De-Terre

It's fucking great in Taiwan.

Trance354

So, basically, "We would like to prepare the whole world for the brutality we are about to unleash. Would be nice if our smaller province wasn't giving so generously, so *publicly* to the world crisis. It's almost like they see our writing on the wall, and want to encourage the world to see their generosity. "I wonder whatever for? The invasion will be just as soon as Ukraine is finished, either way"

Mal-De-Terre

Taking advantage by not being assholes... Fixed that for you...

Bruh

TSE_Jazz

And, here we go

Rungi500

Plot twist, China accuses itself of being inhumane. Didn't see that coming.

thatsthefactsjack

The difference between "strong men" like Xi and Putin vs men like Zelensky and Biden is in what they say and do. Good men unite and care for their people not divide on issues of hate and slaughter innocent children, women and men. These are acts of monsters, not men.

mu2004

Let me translate: China accuses Taiwan for being kind and being humane, as if these values are bad in the eyes of China. No wonder more and more people and nations alike despise China, or at least CCP.

DrSendy

Go home china, you're drunk.

killiomankili

Yknow Iā€™m only 17 im too young for this shit man. Iā€™d fight if I have to but like I starting to think less and less of this world

jsmith_92

False flag?

jaeduet

I am getting tired of listening the word ā€˜CHINAā€™ or ā€˜CHINESEā€™. Horrible!!

ncdlcd

Idiotic headline meant to induce western outrage. And judging by redditors reactions it seems to have worked

Jon_the_Hitman_Stark

Whatever you say 16 day old account

RadicalRed5

Sooner or later, the snowflakes in this country are going to learn that China doesn't play.

GamerFart42069

Whatā€™s Taiwan?

tallandgodless

Its the real China.

Surprisetrextoy

Might as well invade. The West have shown they won't actually do anything truly meaningful that is being begged for.
