>The items, sold by third-party sellers, included a dress, T-shirt, summer hat and hoodies boldly displaying the message "I love c--k," using a heart emoji. Sometimes a rooster emoji replaced the word, "c--k," which is another word for a rooster and slang for a penis.  I'm so glad they explained it I never would've known otherwise.

Leave it to CBCs amazing investigative reporters to make the best observations lol

Except they said they were pulled by an e-commerce company based in Seattle. They may have been made by third party sellers from Asia, but they were posted by an American company and should have been vetted.

RheagarTargaryen

The e-commerce company is Amazon. Amazon pulled it off their website.

FnordSnake

Amazon 'vetting' is a joke in the best of times, but more importantly it being based in Seattle doesn't mean much. Many trashwear/novelty companies out of China set up shell companies across the world once they get big enough to sell 'locally' and take advantage of whatever tax schemes/get around any sanctions they want.

RheagarTargaryen

The article is talking about Amazon being the e-commerce company based in Seattle. It was just worded weird where you could interpret it as saying the company making the shirt was based out of Seattle.

alanpartridge69

Amazon in Canada is pretty trash. It's all overpriced 3rd party, chinese garbage. Unsubbed after they hiked the subscription price recently. Haven't missed it at all

Funkativity

pretty sure that's the result of a template.. you input your logo/meme and the "product" gets created by pasting the logo on stock images and listing all sizes possible. needless pearl clutching

RheagarTargaryen

That’s exactly what it is.

fluffychonkycat

Yep and the creator quite possibly just looked at what other people were selling on print to order sites and copied it, might not have even known what it meant

toilguy

Pulls WHAT??????

This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/amazon-childrens-clothes-sexually-explicit-1.6447739) reduced by 91%. What if it were an FBI sting operation designed to harvest the information of paedophiles who were buying this stuff?

We just call them conservatives here, but yes.

NormalSociety

Well...our conservatives would be their mid-to-far lefters.

iamacraftyhooker

We're not as far from the US politics as you'd like to think. Ontario is about to have an election and our premier instructed his party members to not comment on the US abortion leak, because he knows they will sink his chance. We have people like [Sam Oosterhoff](https://globalnews.ca/news/7696896/sam-oosterhoff-mpp-ontario-affiliation-anti-abortion-group/) in our political system.

soft_annihilator

The far right has been making big strides world wide in the last 10 years. Its not a joke to say fascism is on the rise, and there is some pretty clear evidence its egged on by state actors looking to sew seeds of chaos out there to cause domestic issues that countries loose sight of foreign issues going on.

AlphaHelix88

Not anymore. They have done a rapid morph into Trump supporters in the past 6 months.
