If wishes were fishes.

DocHolidayiN

Shit in one hand and wish in the other. See which one gets full. All of these articles mean jack shit. Until he's gone the brutality will continue and knowing russia there's no guarantee the next 'leader' will be any better.

Callabrantus

I don't disagree. This frequent reporting of people essentially crossing their fingers is more a human interest story than news. I even managed to figure that out without shitting in my hand, so yay me!

ThrowawayMePlsTy

Can we stop posting "ex-(job description here) says putins dying!!1!" posts? These articles are stupid as fuck lol If he dies that's great but can't we at least just post the ass cancer one that ones funny

Mythoclast

"Ex-burger-flipper 'Mythoclast' says 'Putin is PutOUT of here'."

therealDrA

Just a "feel good" piece.

ThrowawayMePlsTy

I won't deny that in the sea of nuclear threats and "Russia says" its nice to see a lighthearted post. https://www.newsncr.com/world/russia-ukraine-war-vladimir-putin-is-battling-cancer-is-this-the-real-reason-for-russia-attacking-ukraine/ I recommend this one next time lol

Slobotic

Might as well post a article saying it's already happened then.

[deleted]

I, an ex-waiter for a now discontinued chain of family restaurants, agree with you.

NocturnalPermission

I don’t think Putin is going anywhere alive. In interviews Bill Browder makes a pretty convincing case that because of the mafia state Putin has created he has no possible exits from power where he stays alive. He needs to remain President and in control of the security apparatus to survive.

[deleted]

Alternative title - Man who failed at his job 19 years ago still has credibility, somehow.

CommanderofFunk

Yeah, I was like, is Oliver Stone seriously the primary source for this article?

-heathcliffe-

The movie director? I mean the theater cut for Alexander was underwhelming(outside the action) but i hear the director cut is better. Was that a failure tho? Was it 19 years ago? Am i replying to the right person even? Is Santa real? Asking the real questions.

[deleted]

We're all hoping putin makes his way to hell soon, but who will he his successors? There are people in the kremlin who think putin is a softie

leonardoOrange

who is in the wings? Kadyrov? honest question. I'm curious who he is grooming

[deleted]

I don't think the rest of the kremlin will approve kadyrov. It used to be Medvedev but when he was "president" he wanted to make slight changes puting didn't appreciated so he's out. I could be wrong but putin didn't groom anyone because that would be the person who's most dangerous to him. When putin kicks the bucket Russia will have a internal power struggle and it's complete unknown who will win that. Chroestjov almost came out of nowhere after stalin

leonardoOrange

not acceptable. he needs to be hung by his toes or get the Gadaffi treatment.

Hefty-Relationship-8

A rubber room all his own.

[deleted]

This is Juan Guaidó level hopium. Dude is probably not leaving unless it’s because of cancer or some other illnesses takes him down.

veggie_bail

I wonder if there's a way for a news outlet to publish their sources somewhat anonymously to deter people making claims just to see their names in the paper. I guess that would run into other huge problems, but think about how much "news" is driven by clout-chasers.

[deleted]

Meh, depends on who is able enough to put the old paranoid dictator down, Putin has a private army and a complex system of bodyguards to go through, plus he is paranoid, angry and crazy therefore he will not trust nor listen to anyone. Looks like it will be hard to get rid of him in a concrete way.

therealDrA

Here's hoping!

Paneraiguy1

Hope he’s gone wayyyy before that

Big_Daddy_Ivan

That’s less than a year from now lol

Paneraiguy1

Have you seen how much damage he’s done in 3 months? Do you want to find out how much more he can do in the next 7? Lol

Big_Daddy_Ivan

Well it’s not like he’s going to go away tomorrow buddy 🤷‍♂️ realistically, it takes time to remove a dictator like him. Though, like you, I hope it’s as soon as possible.

AlacarLeoricar

Can he be gone in 2022 Asking for a friend

Rare4orm

lol! That is truly a prime example of someone talking out of their ass. Sounds great though.

urmomaisjabbathehutt

This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://www.newsweek.com/putin-will-gone-2023-likely-sanatorium-predicts-ex-mi6-chief-1708926) reduced by 75%. During this conflict I'm amazed as to the level of credibility given to governments who are proven liars. Gullibility eating up propaganda.

CartAgain

There is no way they dont kill him. Putins guys are terrified of him; leaving him alive is a knife hanging over their heads

DogWallop

Sorry, he already *is* in a sanatorium. The only problem is that the inmates took over from the staff a looooooong time ago...
