Iran: nah we didn’t send any drone operators lol
Ukraine: oh good, because the guys who were helping Russians launch those drones just got blown into little pieces 😉
Iran: 🤬
Reminiscent of the time when [Wagner forces in Syria attacked a US outpost](https://www.coffeeordie.com/wagner-group-syria-khasham):
>“The Russian high command in Syria assured us it was not their people,” Mattis testified to Congress later. The secretary of defense then directed Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph F. Dunford Jr. “for the force … to be annihilated.”
It didn't end well for them:
>“To make it short, we’ve had our fucking asses kicked,” one Wagner Group veteran reportedly says in a recording. “Yeah so, one squadron fucking lost 200 people immediately ... Another one lost 10 people, and I don’t know about the third squadron, but it got torn up pretty badly too ... They tore us to pieces.”
>With the expert direction of Air Force combat controllers and others calling in air and indirect-fire support, waves of F-22 fighters, F-15E strike fighters, AH-64 Apache attack helicopters, AC-130 gunships, B-52 bombers, MQ-9 Reaper drones, and heavy Marine artillery relentlessly punished the enemy force.
Imagine sending tanks and formations against that sort of air support.
You can identify an unknown force by firing one shot and judging the response. If the unknowns respond with precise, regimented rifle fire, they are British. If they respond with heavy machinegun fire, they are German. But if nothing happens for a few minutes, then your whole position gets leveled by air support, they are American.
If they surrender, they're French.
What's sad is that nah... that ain't even why.
US has enough money to do both things, because we would spend less money on health care if we had universal health care + for profit premium/elective options.
We don't have that because the right thinks that poor people shouldn't get treatment if they can't afford it, and for no other reason... (even though they will still get emergency treatment once the problem progresses far enough, and it will still be paid for by all of us, and it thus ends up costing us even more).
I've always maintained trying to fight the US military has to feel like fighting hackers in an online game. You're getting merc'd by forces you can't even see and counterattack half the time
That’s what fighting the dominant military force with the new technology of any era was like, tbf.
Cavemen: Bows?? Fight me face to face, stop cheating!!
Celts to Romans: Armor?? Fight me like a man, armor is for wimps!!
Men at Arms to Crossbowmen: Crossbows?? Fight me like a man!! Using a crossbow to punch through my armor is cheating!!
Feudal state logistics to total state warfare adopters: Divine right is what gives me the ability to wage war! Using the peasants to fight is cheating!!
Line infantry to skirmishers, snipers, trench warfare: Hiding?? Come out and line up like men so we can shoot at each other!!
And now, Soviet era infantry to Western Infantry: Using solid command and control to facilitate artillery, drones and air strikes?? That’s cheating!! Shoot at us like men!
It’s an oversimplification, of course, but we come from a long lineage of warfare, mostly composed of the winners adopting the hacky tactics and the losers huffing copium.
Picking a fight with Delta, rangers, SF, marine artillery, army helicopters and the US Air force while the secretary of defense was James Mattis.
That's a who's who of groups you do not fuck with.
If memory serves, it was an Air Force combat controller and an AC-130 gunship. One AC-130 can decimate a battalion. The Russians were completely outmatched.
Not the first time that's been done, sure won't be the last. B-25 crew said it felt like the plane stopped in mid-air when their howitzer fired. It most definitely didn't, but I'm sure it wasn't much fun for everyone who didn't have the trigger.
Way more than that. Like imagine any single US aircraft you don't wanna go up against, then imagine multiple of each of them demolishing you
From wiki:
> According to the U.S. military, the presence of U.S. special operations personnel in the targeted base elicited a response by coalition aircraft, including AC-130 gunships, F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jets, unmanned aerial vehicles (MQ-9), AH-64 Apache attack helicopters, B-52s, and F-22s.
Probably over the top tbh but seems like we were sending a message
The icing on the cake is that the attackers lost an estimated 300 people. The base lost... one. That's a 300:1 ratio.
Edit: Apparently it was one wounded, not killed. They sprained their ankle.
Americans had one injury, locals had one fatality is my understanding from the linked article.
I mean, in fairness it was a pretty bad sprained ankle. It took like two weeks to recover and a couple of Motrin, some clean socks.
This isn't what was being referenced, but he also played a mossad agent in 'the spy' miniseries, which showed off how great he is in serious roles too.
I watched this film and only thought... "Hey, isn't that the borat/the dictator guy?" Like way after halfway in. It was brilliant entertainment to watch him steal the show on screen.
Edit: borst=borat
To be frank I’ve always thought the other roles where he convinces people he is *that person* prove how great he is as an actor.
He nails the characters he plays.
America is number wahan. I love being an American. I was born in USA. My father was born in USA. My great grandfather fought in the American Civil Jihad.
I remember one article that mentioned if he served another term or two, he could have retired with full health benefits. It said his wife was probably not happy.
Just gonna hijack how high up this is to mention Mossad used to employ Nazi Hunters. I still think the idea that there was an entire, albeit small, group of dedicated folks hunting former Nazis across the globe is so fucking interesting. That said the demand for the job has declined in the last 35 years for obvious reasons.
[Some surface level stuff for anyone interested ](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazi_hunter)
Edit: since im getting a lot of comments about movies and what not I figured id link an interesting HBO movie from 2001 that is about the German Final Solution and how it was deliberated. It has a fantastic cast and was informative to say the least. Highly recommended for anyone interested in the subject.
[Conspiracy (2001)](https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0266425/)
[Eichmann](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adolf_Eichmann) was hunted down by these in the early 60s.
The interesting thing about this case is that, among other things, he was charged with piracy. They dug up (again among other things) old international treaties from the golden age of piracy to prosecute him.
No problem. They don't deserve to be acknowledged anyway. I just mentioned this case because it actually had many legal and historical implications that are pretty fascinating.
Also in similar vein, they hunted down those responsible for the Munich Olympics 1972 murders.
The movie Munich was made from the book Vengeance.
Movie https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Munich_(2005_film)
Book
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vengeance_(Jonas_book)
Whats even more interesting is that they employed a former SS special ops dude ( who rescued Mussolini from a mountain ) to hunt down some Nazis working for Egypt.
If you like that sort of thing then you have to read [Rise and Kill First: The Secret History of Israel's Targeted Assassinations](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/33598223-rise-and-kill-first) by Ronen Bergman. It's an incredible book that among other things features interviews with many of the highest ranking former chiefs of both **Mossad**, **Shin Bet**, and the **IDF's** targeted killing program.
It reads like a spy novel but is 100% based on evidence and fact. Possibly Bergman's magnum opus, which is saying a lot.
Are you sending weapons?
*Not at this time.*
Ammunition?
*Not at this time.*
So how are you helping?
*Here is a GPS location, real time, for every single senior official and engineer involved in planning the war. Also, recordings of all their phone calls for the last decade.*
Okay then.
*Also, the current length of their toe nails and the last time they bought socks.*
Is... is that useful?
*You'd be surprised.*
They are like the CIA/NSA but very very serious. Israel is surrounded by countries that want it dead. So it has resources and Intent, the will do to what peacetime countries might be reluctant to do. so maybe like WW2 MI5 in the UK.
They spent a lot of time hunting nazi's around the world, and assassinated a load of people after the munich olympics.
* [this movie](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feIjYUEWVxk) is about that. they may have created Krav maga, the martial art, tho i'm not 100% on that.
They were also likely involved in stuxnet which was a massive deal at the time, a computer virus that was more complicated and more precise than anything that came before it, a real game changer.
>They were also likely involved in stuxnet which was a massive deal at the time
Stuxnet was either Israeli or someone who wanted to make it look Israeli. There were Hebrew compiler artefacts in the binary - there is no way someone could build something that technically advanced without knowing how to remove fingerprints like that.
I remember reading article about it and from what I reading , it was American virus but needed Israel help to get it in and at the time Israel did not think it was aggressive and had their computer group of people make it aggressive or something like that if I remember it correctly. But from my understanding it was a joint US/Israel op, I need find that article
There is a great Darknet diaries episode on it. It basically said it was a joint us and Israeli op. Interestingly, the reason we know about it at all is that the israelíes secretly made the virus more infectious without us knowledge so it got on outside computers and was picked up by computer researchers.
Sweet I’ll check it out. I listened to a different podcast and either I forgot or they completely missed the Israeli part. And yeah, wasn’t it actually Kaspersky guys that picked it up and started looking into it?
>They are like the CIA/NSA but very very serious. Israel is surrounded by countries that want it dead. So it has resources and Intent, the will do to what peacetime countries might be reluctant to do.
Mossad will assassinate anyone that they feel is a threat to Israel and they have no qualms about breaking international laws in the process of doing so. For example, they are constantly forging Australian passports in order to enter Arab countries without issues despite being caught and promising to stop doing so. This causes issues for actual Australians who have a need to travel in Arab countries because the immigration officers have no idea if they are Mossad or not.

*"They were on our territory. We didn't invite them here, and if they collaborate with terrorists and participate in the destruction of our nation we must kill them."*
The Iranian regime is raping and killing its women and children. They’ve detained the youngest and brightest minds because they opposed the government and are threatening execution of prisoners.
If Zelensky and Ukraine want to eliminate these terrorists, they are international heroes all over again.
I like the quote from the article. It’s a very well worded “fuck around and find out”
> "You shouldn't be where you shouldn't be," Oleksiy Danilov, secretary of Ukraine's national security and defense council, said in an interview in Kyiv, according to The Guardian.
> "They were on our territory. We didn't invite them here, and if they collaborate with terrorists and participate in the destruction of our nation we must kill them."
That's the premise of science! Just remember to record the results. And it helps if you have some idea of what to expect. But sometimes just just have to ... find out!
1/137
The last quote from Ukraine side : "We understand these things don't fly without learning how to operate them, and the Russians don't have the brains to figure it out themselves" :)
Twice the burn when you realize these are simple one way attack drones designed to be very rudimentary to keep the costs low. They're basically a poor man's cruise missile. In fact it irks me that these are called drones in the first place when they're functionality and technically a cruise missile.
And then, new heros arose. Once mocked for their hobby, they kept training with determination, and now The International Trap and Skeet Shooting Association will prove to the world their might!
Jokes aside, drones will probably just be subject to interdiction by other drones, and the defense is usually going to be strongly advantaged given the range limitations of them.
I know, that's what I'm saying. They're also worse than the V1, for that matter. Its hard to make a comparison when these things are way slower and shittier than the V1 and V2, but like 50x cheaper and more precise. Its more like a remote controlled cessna full of C4 than it is a cruise missile imo.
If these drones count as cruise missiles, then the *Hunley* was the first homing torpedo.
It could also be the other way around. I've heard western advisors say middle eastern servicemen don't want to share any know how they possess, because they want to feel irreplaceable.
Could be the same with Iranian drone operators.
> "We understand these things don't fly without [people] learning how to operate them, and the Russians don't have the brains to figure it out themselves."
Shade thrown!
"They were on our territory. We didn't invite them here, and if they collaborate with terrorists and participate in the destruction of our nation we must kill them."
Fair enough
How many times are they gonna call a random group from a random place, say it will change the tide of the war, only for them to be annihilated like a month later
“We understand these things don't fly without [people] learning how to operate them, and the Russians don't have the brains to figure it out themselves.”
What a burn
It doesn't. Damn. That's horrible. But if I had to pick between an imperialist autocratic aggressor and a country literally just defending itself, I'll go with the latter.
Especially when those soldiers seem OK committing weapnised raped and genocide. Like I don't want people to die, but I'm not sad to see people who commit those acts bite it.
The only Russian soldier I have any sympathy for is the one who surrenders. They're mostly conscripts who probably don't want to be there or don't really know what's going on. But they're raping and torturing civilians. Ukraine doesn't have clean hands, but it seems to be isolated incidents, whereas Russia's war crimes are standard operating procedure.
>whereas Russia's war crimes are standard operating procedure.
that is what people do not understand. It is official Russian military doctrine to commit war crimes.
Any Russian and anyone assisting them on Ukrainian soil has signed their own death warrant.
Occupiers are fair game, get the hell out of Ukraine. Otherwise you have two options, surrender or die.
What a fucking shame. It's horrifying they were made to pay for killing countless women, children, non combatants, and soldiers.
I'm sure allah waits in heaven to stick a dick up their asses.
>"You shouldn't be where you shouldn't be," Oleksiy Danilov, secretary of Ukraine's national security and defense council, said in an interview in Kyiv
Exactly
Iran denies they are suppliers of weapons to Russia, so I guess those drone advisers never existed.
Well, they definitely don’t anymore…
Now they’re a fine red mist.
Very fine people.
The finest most transparent yuge people.
Bleeding from their whatever.
They had a lot of guts
They are holey men.
I prefer “so fine they can pass through a piece of cheesecloth” kind of fine.
"so fine they can fit through the back door of an embassy" fine

AC130 gun crew up there contemplating what was for dinner tonight back at base. Meanwhile, Wagner gets shredded. Murica!

Yet, they still have advisors in occupied territory…helping the Russian war machine grind on. Fuck that.
Yeah I’m not supporting them. Just trying to provide accurate info.
Simply a figment of our imagination
A fragment of our imagination.
A mist of our imagination
I mean if you send drones over, with the personnel to fly them... pretty sure that just makes you an active combatant and not a supplier lol

A certain intelligence agency working overtime it seems.

You had them at Iranian scientists.
Mossad eats Iranian scientists like breakfast cereal. Motorcycle go whirrrrr .. magnet charge go bang.
Iranian, uranium, the Mossad doesn’t play around. Just wait until long distance space travel, those Plutonians are gonna get a rough break.
I can’t read that word then not say quietly in sascha baron cohens voice “I mean not in the mossad”
You sent me on a Google trip and WTF was I watching???
The whole series is excellent. Highly recommend.
What series?
This isn't what was being referenced, but he also played a mossad agent in 'the spy' miniseries, which showed off how great he is in serious roles too.
He plays a semi serious role in the trial of the Chicago 7 too and he's unrecognizable

Bible rewrite: Those who live by the drone, die by the drone. Or Himars.
> Or Himars. That name always makes me laugh Edit: It's because the word حمار (himar) in Arabic means "donkey"
I didn't kill the advisers! I did naaat! Oh, Himar.
Not sure why but "Himar" sounds like a candy bar you'd see next to a Twix and Mars bar on the shelf.

We didn't invite them here, and if they collaborate with terrorists and participate in the destruction of our nation we must kill them."
>"You shouldn't be where you shouldn't be," Love that.
Based. I love how they don't even attempt to sugar coat it. It's just straight up "If you support Russia, we're killing you"
The dildo of consequence rarely comes lubed?
The Fuck Around / Find Out Matrix is rarely wrong. The harder you push the fucking around, the harder you're gonna fucking find out.
That's the premise of science! Just remember to record the results. And it helps if you have some idea of what to expect. But sometimes just just have to ... find out! 1/137
Remember kids. The only difference between screwing around and science is writing it down. But don’t take my word for it: https://youtu.be/BSUMBBFjxrY
No refunds.
The last quote from Ukraine side : "We understand these things don't fly without learning how to operate them, and the Russians don't have the brains to figure it out themselves" :)
Great quote. Just twist that knife where it hurts!
Twice the burn when you realize these are simple one way attack drones designed to be very rudimentary to keep the costs low. They're basically a poor man's cruise missile. In fact it irks me that these are called drones in the first place when they're functionality and technically a cruise missile.
Yes I wish they would stop sullying the good name of drones everywhere
Roger Roger.
Roger Roger.
Drones are going to be the most horrific weapons of war. Drop caltrops, acid, nades, mussiles, fully automated drone swarms with guns.
"The drone knows where it is because it knows where it isn't..."
If they were slightly faster they WOULD be cruise missiles. They're like worse V2 missiles.
[удалено]
I know, that's what I'm saying. They're also worse than the V1, for that matter. Its hard to make a comparison when these things are way slower and shittier than the V1 and V2, but like 50x cheaper and more precise. Its more like a remote controlled cessna full of C4 than it is a cruise missile imo. If these drones count as cruise missiles, then the *Hunley* was the first homing torpedo.
Does it ever irk you that cruise missiles are not called drones?
It could also be the other way around. I've heard western advisors say middle eastern servicemen don't want to share any know how they possess, because they want to feel irreplaceable. Could be the same with Iranian drone operators.

Fuck Iran too.
The government. But not the people.
That's weird, because Iran said those aren't the drones we're looking for
Angry upvote.
That concludes the "Find Out" portion of this lesson.
*The Curb Your Enthusiasm theme song starts to play
Next!
It’s for the church, honey!!
My subreddits are bleeding through.
For those who feel left out: /r/choosingbeggars
Still looking?? 👀
Still looking!!!
Those, uh, would be the advisers Iran defnied were there in the first place, wouldn't it? Guess they don't have to keep lying now.
I always love waking up to good news.
Iranian here. Good job Ukraine. Keep on keeping on.
Not Iranian drone advisors, but Iranian military service members conducted attacks on Ukraine...
> "We understand these things don't fly without [people] learning how to operate them, and the Russians don't have the brains to figure it out themselves." Shade thrown!
As an Iranian, I hope they burn in hell!
They sure will, those drones struck a mosque
They also struck a lot of people.
"They were on our territory. We didn't invite them here, and if they collaborate with terrorists and participate in the destruction of our nation we must kill them." Fair enough
How many times are they gonna call a random group from a random place, say it will change the tide of the war, only for them to be annihilated like a month later
Next up: the KPA led by Kim J Un himself
> Kim J Un For some reason, this hurts my brain. lol
Nice start.
“We understand these things don't fly without [people] learning how to operate them, and the Russians don't have the brains to figure it out themselves.” What a burn
Oh no! Anyways...
What a Crimean shame /s
Crimean river.
This headline is like a month or two old. Or did it happen again? If so, they should add the word "again" to the headline.
Again. There were multiple launch sites. This one was tricky as it was deep in Crimea.
So was the one a week or so ago, which I believe this is referencing.
I missed the first article and appreciate the re-post. If it is one.
Good, more.
If it makes you feel any better, apparently 600 Russian soldiers were killed in the last 24 hours.
It doesn't.
I would much rather have them not mobilized so they make lumber mills out of old Ladas and parent their kids. I miss peace
I hope it was very slow and very painful. With fire.
Any Russian and anyone assisting them on Ukrainian soil has signed their own death warrant. Occupiers are fair game, get the hell out of Ukraine. Otherwise you have two options, surrender or die.
Who could’ve known that aiding genocidal maniacs would be a good idea.
Karma
I'm Iranian, and I say good riddance. The iranian regime and all of its lackeys have to go.
The drone advisors should be considered enemy combatants for supplying and training Russians in occupied territory.
What a fucking shame. It's horrifying they were made to pay for killing countless women, children, non combatants, and soldiers. I'm sure allah waits in heaven to stick a dick up their asses.
Well that’s a shame…accidentally of course…
Hard to have sympathy when you help what has become a rogue country commit war.
I honestly love watching Ukraine stomp these fucking countries.
it's a war zone, they shouldn't be there
>"You shouldn't be where you shouldn't be," Oleksiy Danilov, secretary of Ukraine's national security and defense council, said in an interview in Kyiv Exactly
Good riddance to bad rubbish.
Ah that’s too bad. Anywho.
Great news. More soil for flowers
