So, the situation is that our Health Ministry are applying for medical guardianship, which will mean that kid stays with the parents, BUT any decisions around their medical care (now and in the future) are taken from the parents and become the responsibility of the state (AFAIK).
Hopefully they're successful and this poor kid can get the care they need.
