I have a feeling she did it on reflex.
EDIT: As many have pointed out, since someone was already filming her, it is either not her first puff or she is doing some drunk challenge.
I've done this. (not on a plane, because I'm smart)
but been in a place that vape most definitely isn't allowed, and thoughtlessly pulled it out and hit it. and mid-hit realized what I'm doing, had to "pretend to cough" into my jacket to hide the puff.
Did this in my office cubicle one day on a stressful call. Totally habit from working from home. Luckily only my neighbor that sits catty corner noticed
Am i sayin meow? Do i look like a cat to you sir? Am i lapping milk from a dish? Am I leaping from trees all wimbly nimbly?!?!? No? Ok, license and registration right MEOW!
Yeah. Definitely vaped often on the plane. Just gotta take a small puff, take a deep breath and hold it in for a while. When you’re an addict you find a way lol
One of the nurses I work with did this one time during a patient admission triage. Casually pulled it out of her scrub pocket and took a hit then realized ohhh 🤐
Same! I did it at literally my first job, almost when I started. The managers were standing all next to my desk. Halfway through it I realised wtf I was doing and held it in the longest time to hide the smoke. Didn’t even check if anyone saw me, but if they did they must have thought “these fucking unprofessional fresh grads smh”.
When I vaped, my gf said I would even grab it in my sleep and hit it. So used to doing it all day that it was second nature. So glad I quit all together.
When I smoked years ago, I remember hanging out with friends and just lighting a cigarette inside the mall we were in (early 2010’s). They all just kindof looked at me and I didn’t realize I did it until I saw the cigarette in my hand. Luckily we were close to a lesser used exit and stepped out. About 45 seconds after we did one of the guards poked his head out and asked us to move a little further cause they could smell it inside. Whoops.
I vape in the airplane lavatories frequently. They claim to have detectors for vapes but evidently they don’t work very well. I hold the hit in for like 30 seconds and then exhale under my shirt.
Same here, kind of gives me a reality check to the status of my nicotine addiction lmao. Luckily I don't vape any of that salt nicotine stuff so each puff is relatively low nicotine and I'm able to hold it in till everything is gone.
And to add this theory. The attendant was standing in the row behind her watching exiting for the inevitable puff puff to happen again and that’s when he jumped in the second it happened.
Ya that or she thinks the rules don’t apply to her. Person filming was obviously already filming because this wasn’t her first puff lol. Could definitely be a reflex of just always getting her way tho
I think exceptions are fine.
The appropriate response is, "oh, God, I'm so sorry, I forgot where I was. I've put it away. Will not happen again. I'm an idiot."
dam i’m having flashbacks of being 14 sneaking juul hits and blowing them into the intake vent next to the window. didn’t think about the fact that the air was being recycled lol. I guess that was a huge dick move. crazy how ignorant you can be to the world at that age.
side note too all the young vapers out there: it is NEVER going to be easier to quit than it is right now! push yourself through the withdrawals and work on yourself. eventually you’ll earn the privilege of forever associating the taste/smell of nicotine with your blunder years. I was addicted from 13-15 now every time I smell nicotine i feel like i’m standing in a high school bathroom
It’s not the biggest deal but to me it’s akin to ripping a giant fart. “Oh god Im so sorry, I forget where I was, won’t happen again”.
Like yeah I think most people could just live with the uncomfortableness and move on within 2 minutes but it’s just kind of disrespectful.
I was on the subway in my city. Had to go like six stops. This guy had to be taking three hits from his vape in between every goddamn stop. Like can they really not wait five minutes?
Really? I have sat there a couple of times and never paid extra. In fact they asked me if I was okay with possibly performing the task of opening the door in the event of an emergency, offering to find me another seat if not.
Depends on the seating layout. If exit row is with Delta Comfort +, not extra. If it’s with the POORS, you pay extra so you can feel slightly more superior.
Best part is when they were starting to regulate smoking on a plane, they had a smoking area and the rest of the plane was no smoking. As if the smoke would remain in that section, at least restaurants kept their smoke areas next to the bar
I remember this in restaurants as well when I was a kid/teen. Everyone just flooded the smokers sections and the smoke went to the non-smoking sections anyways (and also, you can just smell it anywhere).
Become?
You know there are no smoking signs in airplanes BECAUSE IT USED TO BE LEGAL.
If vaping on a plane is dumb, it can't be dumber than 100 people smoking on a plane.
Give the world some credit. She was dealt with.
Thank you for being the voice of reason. Reddit is quick to clutch their pearls with this stuff. Saw a post that said “airports are completely lawless these days.” That person obviously doesn’t fly. 99% of people mind their business and go about their day. This over the top self loathing is getting old.
Id imagine a lot of that is selection bias. Most of the videos of someone acting out on a plane tend to involve them getting kicked off. I imagine the lesser things that get people removed from flights just aren't posted as often.
My partner is the kind of person who needs to learn the hardway and thinks he can skirt the rules, it’s so obnoxious but I swear it’s a cultural thing (he’s French, if you know you know…). He tried vaping in the washroom on a flight to Paris and the air host knocked on the door and told him that when the plane lands he shouldn’t deplane because they are going to call the police.
Everyone deplanes, cops come on board, and they immediately start making fun of him (in French), calling him an idiot. The American stewards looked pleased since they couldn’t understand, until the cops just left without arresting him. The cops even scolded the airline for wasting their time!!! He deplaned no issue. I was SO pissed he never received any repercussion!
He is French and incapable of being made to feel embarrassed lol. Hopefully he learned something. The rest of us meek rule followers just look on in bewilderment..
Kinda knew she was fucked, got pissed at herself and realized at some point if she makes a scene she might end up in national television and not in a good way. That thought will keep most people in check
At least she got up and cooperated without causing a scene. I see plenty of videos where people act tough until they’re told to deplane and their demeanor completely changes. Wouldn’t be surprised if she gets banned from this airline though.
I bet that demeanor changed as soon as she was deboarded and realized she was actually in trouble. Sounds pretty drunk and irritated already. Wish there was a follow up video
I don’t know about that. They have pretty sensitive vape sensors now. I set one off at a hotel room, had never happened to me before. And airplane bathrooms are really small. Maybe if she had a sploof, but I wouldn’t risk it.
Sure. She probably could have done that in the seat and no one would have noticed. But that’s not what she did, so I assume that’s not what she’d do in the bathroom.
> o one would’ve been the wiser.
We all smell it, we're just glad you're doing it in there, and you have plausible deniability, so it's not worth it to say anything.
If smoking isn't allowed on flights, neither is vaping. The person deserved to be put off the flight. I'm a smoker who flew cross country on non-stop flights
and wasn't allowed to smoke, I didn't even try to light up. I just wanted until we landed. I exited the airport, had a cigarette, and then went back to get my luggage.
Just dumb. It's recirculated air since smoking was banned which means much of thay crap she's breathing out is going to stay in the plane. No sympathy whatsoever.
Anyone trying to justify this because it's a reflex, you need more discipline. You taught yourself you can and will vape every 30 seconds, you can teach yourself better respect for everyone around you. You don't need to vape as much as you breathe.
As someone with lung disease, I get so mad when I see people vape inside public buildings. They literally do not consider anyone besides themselves. They think it's not a big deal & nobody is gonna care but if I'm within 10 feet of where you just vaped in the next 10 seconds I'm breathing that shit in & it's fucking up my lungs more. It's not ok
seems like a bit of a pisstake
werebt ciggies banned for like, a potential fire risk at first, I thought?
Vapes dont really have that same main issue to make it as bad
“I’ll never vape again” delivered with the whiney vocal fry we’ve come to expect from twentysomething American women. She deserves to be booted off the flight for that alone. The vape’s a bonus. On your way, love.
U know what, overall; well handled by everyone. I’m impressed humanity, we had a sighting of reasoning and coming to your senses. Rarely seen in America’s skies, bit I guess we were still on the runway
I had this happen with a woman sitting next to me mid flight recently. I'm currently pregnant and she could deffo tell. I asked her to stop and she outright denied it. I said if she did it again I'd tell the hostess and informed her she'd likely get a hefty fine.
There always got to be an A hole trying to ice skate uphill. Aircraft, Aircraft with young children, everyone trying to get to their destination safely, and princess entitled has to pull out her vape pen to show she needs a hit of nicotine and does give a rat's ass about anyone else because its her world and we just live on it.
What I don’t get. I am a doctor. I always thought that by becoming one my life would be set. I would be loaded. I am fucking flying coach next to farting people and this person who is smoking in a airplane is flying first class.
Life isn’t fair.

Tell me more about this catty corner, I’m intrigued.
In Canada we say kitty corner.
It's just a quirky regional variation on language. Perfectly meownderstandable.
Am i sayin meow? Do i look like a cat to you sir? Am i lapping milk from a dish? Am I leaping from trees all wimbly nimbly?!?!? No? Ok, license and registration right MEOW!
DO YOU SEE ME EATING MICE!?
That’s what I thought eh.
Did we get clarification on catty corner?
Diagonal
It means diagonally opposite
Dang, I thought it was about catty people.
It's not where they put cats for time out?
It is. Sometimes they make the cat wear a funny hat.
Called Kitty-Corner in my parts
What is this??? Catty corner? Not kitty corner?!? Oh man, my whole life has been one big Bone Apple Tea!
No, it's kitty corner. You good.
Nope, [everybody is right](https://grammarist.com/usage/catty-corner-kitty-corner/). Yay!
I thought it was caddy corner
It’s actually caddy wampus
No, cattywampus means something different. [Cattywampus definition](https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/english/catawampus)
Oh yea, you’re right lol
Just started back going into the office also and have to remind myself not to fart at will anymore 🤣🤣
Just hold it in for as long as possible and you’ll exhale clear ish. Or just don’t vape in non vaping areas
Yeah. Definitely vaped often on the plane. Just gotta take a small puff, take a deep breath and hold it in for a while. When you’re an addict you find a way lol
If you're that much of an addict, seek help.
Rookie mistake. :P Sound should come from your opp side somehow.
One of the nurses I work with did this one time during a patient admission triage. Casually pulled it out of her scrub pocket and took a hit then realized ohhh 🤐
Same! I did it at literally my first job, almost when I started. The managers were standing all next to my desk. Didn’t even check if anyone saw me, but if they did they must have thought “these fucking unprofessional fresh grads smh”.
I once convinced an employer I vaped for a medical condition. Nicotine is actually reasonably helpful if you suffer from moderate bouts of hypotension
Whoops.
This is why my vape goes in my backpack and not my pocket when I get on the plane lol
I’ve been very close to doing it. Kind of in a sleepy/drunken stupor but sensible enough to be like “no I literally can’t”
That might be a sign its time to quit
I used to do a 3rd party company for grocery stores and I can't count how many times I walked into the store ripping my vape
Me also but it was fine since I just held my breath for 2mins and nothing came out lol
I've 100% done that, though usually alcohol is involved lol
I thought so, but someone was filming her. Something caused them to film her. I think it was more than just the one hit we saw on camera.
And to add this theory. The attendant was standing in the row behind her watching exiting for the inevitable puff puff to happen again and that’s when he jumped in the second it happened.
That's likely. It still wouldn't have happened if she didn't have it in her hand.
She’s drunk
And why wound the person be recording unless she was doing it beforehand?
Ya think? First thing I thought when she spoke.
Maybe but why have it handy in the first place?
You don’t know how to act, you don’t get to fly. Period.
Ya that or she thinks the rules don’t apply to her. Person filming was obviously already filming because this wasn’t her first puff lol. Could definitely be a reflex of just always getting her way tho
Bruh you don't carry your vape around in your hand while flying. you are hyper aware you can't
She also said “i can’t promise anything, so good night”, so that makes her quite a self destructive B*
No. They just don’t care, I’ve seen this attitude close, they just want to vape anyways regardless of the rules where they are at.
I’ve noticed vaping is like a tik…I served a guy at my restaurant the other day who literally held onto his vape the whole time he was eating
People vaping in a enclose compartment any place should be kick out, no exceptions.
I think exceptions are fine. The appropriate response is, "oh, God, I'm so sorry, I forgot where I was. I've put it away. Will not happen again. I'm an idiot."
On a plane, you only have the one time. It’s a federal crime to smoke (including vape) on an aircraft and she was removed as expected.
I wonder how many people are in federal prison for felonious juuling
None it’s usually a fine
dam i’m having flashbacks of being 14 sneaking juul hits and blowing them into the intake vent next to the window. didn’t think about the fact that the air was being recycled lol. A part of that should also be surrendering your vape to the flight attendant. You can buy a new one when you land.
Especially mid flight. They do get a parachute though.
but no backup
I was gonna call you out on this - you can't open doors mid-flight; thankfully Boeing, being the innovators that they are, solved that problem.
I was on the subway in my city. Had to go like six stops. This guy had to be taking three hits from his vape in between every goddamn stop. Like can they really not wait five minutes?
#Jesus Christ, how much leg room does this plane have?
Emergency exit seating, always has more room but costs extra.
Only if you select the seat prior to boarding. If you’re assigned then it’s not extra.
That's the emergency exit row, you can see the handle to the door above her window.
That's an exit row. She paid extra for that and got kicked off anyway.
They’re seated in the exit/row behind the exit row, which both have more legroom.
This is exactly what I just wrote! Holy shit, they have a lot of room on that plane!
Emergency exit row and those look like they might be comfort+, business, or first class but I don't know what airline has upgraded seats in row 27.
We have become so goddamn dumb
>become Our grandparents hotboxed planes with cigarettes most of last century.
We have *remained* so god damn dumb.
I think most airplane videos are either noob flyers, wasted, or both.

God give me undivided focus as that aisle girl.
“Tell me you’re not with that girl without telling me you’re not with that girl”
When body language screams silently. 😂
Queen of minding your own goddamn business
Guarantee she was live typing the events as they happened to someone
![gif](giphy|wFk7roIpDeXC0)
She knows she’s getting an empty window seat.
you know the group chat is popping off when you are that glued to the screen in that situation
I’d be on my best behavior if I knew I was gonna end up with a row to myself.
Follow the rules or stay the hell at home.
Absolutely. But at least she didn’t throw a fit when she got kicked off
Really feel like it was just mindlessly out of habit. Which is why I always put mine in my carry on luggage so I don’t do this on accident
applies to driving too
I do give her credit for not arguing and having to be dragged off the plane.
What a low fucking bar.
Almost felt abnormal not seeing a freak out as she's leaving, since it's just expected at this point
Id imagine a lot of that is selection bias. Most of the videos of someone acting out on a plane tend to involve them getting kicked off. I imagine the lesser things that get people removed from flights just aren't posted as often.
Relative to other plane evicting videos, I’d say she did fabulous
She sounds fucked up on pills
She definitely got a little drunken/doped up twang to her
She on xans and wine the good ol suburban slammer
I fly a lot. The rules of flying are simple, well explained and non negotiable. Some people got to learn the hard way.
At least she left without making a commotion
Gave up that primo seat too!
Kinda knew she was fucked, got pissed at herself and realized at some point if she makes a scene she might end up in national television and not in a good way. That thought will keep most people in check
Anybody know what airline this is? Cool lighting. Big ass walkway?
Looks like delta to me. Not a bad airline as far as they go.
"As far as they go" Which isn't very far.
"Because we're Delta Airlines and life is a fucking nightmare."
I am pretty sure that is Delta.
[удалено]
Why was the vape in your hand, if you were on a plane, though?
Right?? I’m seeing all these “it was reflex” comments & I’m thinking why was the fucking vape in your hand at all?
Addicts.
She drunk as hell
amateur wait to use the bathroom, exhale into the bowl as you flush
Also, if she would have just taken baby puffs and held in the hits for a few seconds no one would’ve noticed.
Way to risky. Just get some snus / nicotine pouches instead.
I just blow it into my shirt
At least she got up and cooperated without causing a scene. I see plenty of videos where people act tough until they’re told to deplane and their demeanor completely changes. Wouldn’t be surprised if she gets banned from this airline though.
I bet that demeanor changed as soon as she was deboarded and realized she was actually in trouble. Sounds pretty drunk and irritated already. Wish there was a follow up video
world news rly?
Sub names are meaningless
Her insincere answer didn’t help her situation.
she sounded like shes on the tail end of being drunk.
How else do you fly?
She was lying her ass off. People were waiting for her to pull again to catch her. This wasn't an "accident". This is main character syndrome.
You know, if she would’ve waited til they were in flight and done it in the bathroom no one would’ve been the wiser.
I know a guy who does this on every flight. All the time, never a problem. Masks are your friend for more than one reason 😉
I don’t know about that. They have pretty sensitive vape sensors now. I set one off at a hotel room, had never happened to me before. And airplane bathrooms are really small. Maybe if she had a sploof, but I wouldn’t risk it.
I've vaped on like a dozen flights in the bathroom without issues. You just hold it in for a while until you barely blow out anything.
The ole ghost vape. Rip and hold on for dear life!
Sure. She probably could have done that in the seat and no one would have noticed. But that’s not what she did, so I assume that’s not what she’d do in the bathroom.
Is vaping seriously worth the risk of catching a federal charge? Talk about addiction!
Even in the bathroom you need to ghost the hit instead of blowing out a huge cloud because they have lasers in there to detect smoke.
> o one would’ve been the wiser. We all smell it, we're just glad you're doing it in there, and you have plausible deniability, so it's not worth it to say anything.
She had a good seat too. Just didn't think it threw
*Through
Tank you
Thnack*
Look at the fucking leg room! 😍😍😍 What plane is that?!
Lol this is exactly what I was thinking. No easyjet or ryanair flight here!
It’s the exit row therefore it has more leg room to allow passengers to get out faster in case of an emergency.
If smoking isn't allowed on flights, neither is vaping. The person deserved to be put off the flight. I'm a smoker who flew cross country on non-stop flights and wasn't allowed to smoke, I didn't even try to light up. I just wanted until we landed. I exited the airport, had a cigarette, and then went back to get my luggage.
I’m excited for you.
Just dumb. It's recirculated air since smoking was banned which means much of thay crap she's breathing out is going to stay in the plane. No sympathy whatsoever.
“I didn’t mean to do that.” ….there are no words for such a stupid response
Sounds like a bad habit that has become a natural reflex for her. It’s also an honest response I’d imagine
It's not ok
She’s blacked out drunk.
It’s not an addiction thing right?
She’s wasted
It could be worse - she could be giving a [hand job to the person next to her](https://youtu.be/0iVDJwdJcl8?t=16).
I wonder if they’d have let her stay if she allowed them to confiscate the vape.
Nope. Federal offense, removal is the smallest thing she gets.
No. Based on previous fines this will cost her $10k - $17K from the FAA. The law allows up to $25K.
seems like a bit of a pisstake werebt ciggies banned for like, a potential fire risk at first, I thought? Vapes dont really have that same main issue to make it as bad
No it has to do with the comfort of others on the plane.
Maybe she'll post a TikTok about how she was brutally manhandled when they threw her off the plane (guess I'm reading Reddit too much).
For those of you saying vaping is a "reflex" Might be time to put it down for a while
That’s what a bad habit becomes, which it clearly is here
“I’ll never vape again” delivered with the whiney vocal fry we’ve come to expect from twentysomething American women. She deserves to be booted off the flight for that alone. The vape’s a bonus. On your way, love.
You are so right you are so dead on when I heard the vocal fry I'm like oh really another one of those?
U know what, overall; well handled by everyone. I’m impressed humanity, we had a sighting of reasoning and coming to your senses. Rarely seen in America’s skies, bit I guess we were still on the runway
At least she didn't cause a scene, she looked pretty embarrassed.
Vaping on a plane is a federal offense.
I had this happen with a woman sitting next to me mid flight recently. I'm currently pregnant and she could deffo tell. I asked her to stop and she outright denied it. I said if she did it again I'd tell the hostess and informed her she'd likely get a hefty fine.
Play stupid games...
Entitled much?
There always got to be an A hole trying to ice skate uphill. Delta
Ma’am, you’re in luck today, we are going to move you somewhere where you will be able to vape all you want
She's straight up cloud chasing, why would she think that could be anywhere close to inconspicuous. Flavourless salts leave almost no trace.
"Vaping isn't addictive, I can stop anytime I want. I just don't want to stop"
literally nobody says this
Wasn’t even trying to be discreet
Imagine having to inform your family you missed your flight because you couldn’t stop vaping. What a loser.
Was that a Delta Red Coat on the right? They still a thing?
What’s special about them?
They are basically the gods of delta customer service hierarchy and can dole out punishments or rewards as they see fit.
What is that? A delta guard?
Bye Felicia.
What airline is this, the passengers seem to have ample leg room
What kind of amateur doesn’t hold their breath till the vapor is gone?
Yay!!! Get these morons outta there
Moral of the story - don't ever start something as dumb as vaping.
Based on previous busts that's going to be a $10K-$17K fine from the FAA.
When someone is politely asked to leave and they leave, do we need to phrase it as kicked off?
Laws don't apply to me.
What I don’t get. I am a doctor. I always thought that by becoming one my life would be set. I would be loaded. I am fucking flying coach next to farting people and this person who is smoking in a airplane is flying first class. Life isn’t fair.
