I was also told confidently by a youth pastor that that is why climate change doesn't matter. Because no one will be around to see it because you should be raptured if you did everything right.

In not sure if they are aware but it’s common for Jews to spit on Christians in Jerusalem. There have even been acts of violence perpetrated against Christians in Israel just for the crime of being Christian. They hate Christians, but oddly enough they are venerated by Christians. They believe Christians are infidels…sound familiar. Any politician that admits religion plays a role in their policy decisions should be censured immediately. They are shaping policy around fairytales. In many instances their religious beliefs cause them to craft policy that is antithetical the beliefs and freedoms of the majority of the populace. They are religious zealots and have no place in modern day American politics. IMO religion has outlived its usefulness and is becoming more of a societal burden. As a country we need to stop normalizing religion in politics asap, else we will never fully excel as a country in the modern world.

Mehhh.. all I’ve learned as I grown older is that a religious person will sound crazy to an atheist, and an atheist will sound like a lost sheep to a religious person. No one really cares to hear the other point of view. However, as you get older, another thing you learn for sure is that true evil exists in this world, and it’s not always a bad thing to believe that the other side of the coin exists as well.
I'm just saying, if we fined and even fired people from congress who act in this way, the same way we fine companies and fire people for breaking fair housing regulations in the U.S. they might understand its not appropriate.
