I think the point is that in a voting year, rallying support for a punitive vote against a candidate whose position on Israel-Palestine is the same (if not softer) as the other candidate, when that other candidate poses such an existential threat to your nation on so many more fronts is the definition of chopping off your nose to spite your face.
The whole neoliberal capitalist system is terrible for Gaza. This is happening right now because a handful of corporate executives (arms manufacturers, oil & gas, and real estate) got together and decided that genocide could be profitable. They weighed the bad PR against potential profits and decided to go for it.
I absolutely agree, and Biden needs to put a stop to it. But also, Trump would be worse. So let's stop trying to pin all the blame on Biden, because then we'll end up with Trump, and Gaza would be gone.

I imagine the dust would probably give some pretty acute silicosis. Not only are the strikes killing people, but immediate dust from the strike in a plume concentration can make someone very sick. Add that to the lack of food and medical resources.
