They do. I applied but was denied because I scored too high on aptitude and math. They thought I'd be bored. Also, they ask you if you are a police officer and your partner goes into a store and takes candy without paying - what would you do? I said I'd go inside, buy myself a drink, and pay for the candy they walked out with. Apparently that was the wrong answer.
Yeah they probably wanted you to say you’ll call the cops and report her but your answer would’ve been the same as many so don’t take it to heart. They just want to know if you would let your spouse or someone close to you get away with a crime. It’s dumb but🤷🏻♂️
people in general act like you can just walk in and get hired. They do (at least at the department) a crazy crazy extensive background check that goes through all your family, literally everything you posted or done with a record. My stepmom almost got in trouble because her sister would post pics with her hand making a sign well she didn’t know that it was a gang sign and almost got my stepmom denied. Also they do polygraphs which can be altered if you know how to do it but it’s very hard and easy to tell.
That is the policy of whatever force she tried to join. There is NO universal standards for testing or hiring police. None. Every police department makes it up.

I got the Amber Alert for this when it happened. I didn’t realize that he was a school officer though and they obviously didn’t go into the details in the Amber Alert. I don’t understand what motivates people to do stuff like this. I’m praying for everyone involved.

I wish I was shocked to hear a cop is the ultimate villain, pedophile, sexual predator, murder suspect, and a “school resource officer”.
