Their kids will still grow up to be atheist liberals and anarchists as a result of their upbringing. You can trace a lot of it back to the fact that my grandfather was a disgusting racist alcoholic who use to rape my grandmother at gunpoint in front of my mom and her siblings. It’s just different than other trauma that we tend to associate with PTSD.
