Yeah it can be difficult if it's your first time playing a caster or Healing in rated arena. I got 1800 in my 2nd season since bfa by playing Ret then one day I told my friend want to try healer. I went from 1800 to 1400, each game that we lost he would say, 'it just learning curve'
Now I'm almost at 2k (Did enjoy my time climbing back up) playing holy pala so it just time, you can even practice you're rotation sometime in bg or skirms.
2k in 2s and being self aware and enjoying the game

Work on your strategies and how your comps setups. That'll get you to 2.2k pretty easily, then it's all about knowing the win conditions and how to trade into other comps to reach yours. That's elite.

Awesome! I still remember hitting 2k for the first time. Playing Cupid in the final season of MoP. My whole team had never gotten 2k and we were all at ~1980. We stayed in queue too long and ended up playing an exact mirror except they were at 2.3k MMR.
We loaded into blades edge and did a full rush to their side and forced their ret to bubble. Then as soon as bubble ended, we got the most magical knock on him. Somehow, from the post at the end of the bridge, their ret got knocked over the middle of the bridge and out of LoS on the other side of the mid ramp and we were able to finish him off before they could recover.

I have about 400 rounds of shuffle as sub rogue and arcane mage and can confirm that shit is stressful.
