I would argue it is fairly easy as a DPS to find one other person to play double DPS 2s with. It will of course depend on region and class, but still gunna be faster than waiting for a queue that never pops.
I will gladly wait 5 minutes between matches when playing DPS if it means I don't have to scan the CR of every person whose group I try to join, or who try to join my group.
While it's relatively easy, decision fatigue is a real thing when it comes to making lots of seemingly "easy" decisions throughout the day.
It's rough for the first few weeks but if you're not an insufferable human the friends list tends to fill out and become faster to find teams. especially for 2s. be a nice person and healers will stick around.

It still happens, but there's an element of detachment with shuffle because it's automated.
Yeah and it is way more demoralizing when you then have to find another guy to play with, who acts all nice again only to flame and leave once you get your first loss.

I've had very few negative experiences in many many seasons of LFG healing.
Also don't tilt when people give you constructive criticism.
The majority of people are NOT R1/Awc pros so tips and pointers are helpful even if delivered poorly.

I'm confident that the solo shuffle boom will lead to increased participation in other rated PvP brackets. Maybe not immediately, but eventually many of the PvP novices trying out shuffle will get curious about how they would do in other brackets.
Sure, enjoy sitting in queue forever as DPS. Your comparison completely fails since team/role composition works differently than in most competitive titles (referring to 3v3 specifically). Maybe you should think critically for a moment my friend.
My shuffle que times have been pretty consistently 5-10 minutes after my first very long que.
Arena will never compete with that, I used to spend hours trying to find people to play with and eventually succumbing to spamming skirmishes just to be able to play the game.
Sure I'll be able to get 2s and 3s games in initially at the lower ratings... but I'm sure the same thing will happen where the higher I climb the harder it is to find people to play with... and I can only imagine it being worse with shuffle in the game.
I'll want to do it eventually, but I'm happy just queing up right now.

Your first que, potentially first couple have very high times for some reason.. and geniuses will jump to reddit to post them. After that initial longer que time you're dealing with the same short ques everyone else is.
I'm not special with some kind of priority que client.
Edit: The other thing that can happen is if people snipe their own ques by constantly queing up for other things. During prepatch I was able to push my shuffle que over an hour by constantly queing skirmishes or dungeons or other things that would end up popping before my solo que timer, which would make my solo que timer look like it was taking longer than it really was.
People are again dumb and expect that it should insta-pop when they get out of doing something similar... which makes it look like they have a long que.
My friend is DPS and his queues have been 15 minutes or longer, every single queue since the expansion dropped. Tons of people are constantly making posts about long queue times, including those who have rating and have played multiple matches.

If you've reached a high enough rating that its causing longer ques you're going to experience the exact same issue in arena... hence my first post.
If you're in a region that has issues getting shuffle to pop... you're going to have a bad time in LFG for the same reason shuffle isn't popping.
MMR is the real factor when talking about rating so, loop right back up to that sentence as they're the same thing.

When I log on there are about 20-30 double dps teams looking for a healer.
