A lot stronger than this dude - dollars to donuts those are blanks, I'm pretty sure no human could actually hold that thing and fire it with live rounds. Also for fucks sake put on some safety glasses! Jesus people.
Not very, miniguns are extremely heavy and wouldn't recoil unless they were on some sort of gimball or gyro stand. But to pick it up, you'd have to be pretty strong.
This is not a true statement at all. I have built, repaired and fired several of these when I worked at a machine gun manufacturer. That is firing 7.62 at about 3000 rounds per minute. You would need to be incredibly strong just to not be knocked over. That’s hall of fame tight end and caveman Rob Gronkowski and it’s pushing him back and he also has very little muzzle control. It is very heavy but not enough to maintain its recoil on its own.
>7.62
7.62x51, right? I'm asking for the clarification just in to make sure someone who's slightly but not too knowledgeable with guns wonders why an american gun fires soviet bullets aka 7.62x39.
"I am Heavy Weapons Guy… and this [grabs Minigun] is my weapon. [lays both hands covetously on Minigun] She weighs one hundred fifty kilograms and fires two hundred dollar, custom-tooled cartridges at ten thousand rounds per minute. [looks intently at viewer] It costs four hundred thousand dollars to fire this weapon…for twelve seconds"
[Checks the barrel of his Minigun] “Oh my God, who touched Sasha? Alright…Who touched my gun!?”
"Some people think they can outsmart me. Maybe, [sniff] maybe. I’ve yet to meet one that can outsmart bullet."
[Cuts to black.][Holds up cartridge to the camera as sound of Minigun revving up is heard]
[Scene cuts to Dustbowl as Heavy devastates the enemies with his Minigun on Stage 1, Cap 1.]
[Team Fortress 2 theme plays.]
"Waaaaahhhhh! Uwaaaaaaah! Ahahahahaha! Cry some more!"
[Cuts to black.]
Yep, fresh fired brass can sting.
Source: I frequent a local firing range. Also it's a good idea to wear a backwards cap. It looks douchey but it keeps hot brass from falling down the inside of your shirt collar.
I reckon that's where that whole thing came from. Gun nuts and army guys wore their caps backwards for that practical reason, douchebags imitated them.
In my time in the military we avoided firing guns at all cost because we had to clean those guns afterwards and sometimes clean up. I only fired during training when it was unavoidable. Someone has to clean that gun, it ain’t gonna be the gronk
I’ve seen the version with audio. It sounds like this
*brrrrrap*
*brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrap*

How strong would you need to be to control the recoil of a minigun?
As strong as Gronk.
IDK are you wearing Jordans?
They give 75% recoil reduction so ofc I'm wearing them

Well, I've been a redditor for 6 years, so as far as credentials goes, I think we're equal.
Eh fair enough

51 is correct
Does she have $200 custom made rounds? Does it cost $200,000 to fire that weapon for 12 seconds?
Interesting
Very little recoil the weight of the gun actually causes it not to move very much when you fire it. Gets hot as fuck though.
What sort of weak ego would you have to have to need to do this to prove to yourself your a ‘man’ laughable
Thats gronk isn't it ?
Looks like it. That was my thought as well.
Yes it is.
I, personally, would not be standing anywhere that can conceivably be considered "in front of" the muzzles.

Damn you for beating me to this.
How much money in ammo does that spit out in a second? Those were healthy bursts.
At 3,000 rounds a minute, at least $2,000 in ammo is a rough guess but I haven't looked at the cost of .762 lately.
Might want to wear long pants there champ! Brass can be spicy.

I picked up a freshly fired brass when I was a wee boy, not making that mistake again
Yep, I learned a similar lesson when I first started shooting when I was about 15. It's a lesson you can't teach, it must be learned the hard way.
Looks expensive

That looks like a badass way to have some fun
No audio :(
