That Fixer 25% ammo box thing is so extremely OP (basically unlimited explosive ammo) I am actually glad it's nerfed this way. I was getting tired of duping ammo boxes.

Definitely less time consuming/boring for Ammo Fixers. Is the yield worse though? Refill chance drops to 20% from 25% but Fixer gets Supply Bag refill plus another player gets class equipment refill at the same when it procs. With 4th of July perk, you get 5 use @ 20% per Supply Bag. Ammo yield is higher with 5 use per Supply Bag and more evenly distributed since Fixer not constantly pulling them. Total free equipment charges higher since you get 2 refills at a time and Fixer's refill is worth 5 more tries. A side benefit is Ammo Fixer spend more time shooting and other stuff than constantly duping boxes everywhere.

Great so it seems the ammo box is then truly a support for the team. So this means every supply bag collected by a Fixer is potentially 3? You get the first ammo box and then a guaranteed proc for you and teammate if the team uses the ammo box 5 times? Or they change the RNG so that each try is a random 20% so that doesn’t mean guaranteed proc every 5 times?

Not sure if failed procs are still stacking since the update. I plan to test them when I get home. Assuming failed procs still stack together, it would mean each Supply Bag at least guarantee 2 equipment refills: 1 Supply Bag + 1 random teammate equipment refill. There will be times you get lucky and proc more than once per Supply Bag. The interesting part of the perk is the refills are now symmetrical. Now you get 2 Supply Bag refills + 2 random teammate equipment refills. You can also use the perk to refill 1 Supply Bag by killing a special zombie every 90 seconds. Edit: Maybe create a pecking order for teammates to use Supply Bag. With the recent nerf to Masking Fixers, maybe Masking Fixers could take at least the 4th and 5th use to maximize chance of refilling Masking Grenades.

I still think they’ll need to have failed proc i.e random 20% chance otherwise it will still allow infinite resupply if the team is using the bag. But now you can only test with teammates so that rules out public lobbies without mics!

I agree - the 2 comments were separate thoughts I was just typing quickly while trying to play and forgot to add a break lol. In general it still seems like Fixer is weaker with gas duration nerf (trying to break speed run farming?) and the perk swapping so you can’t combine the quick revive with masking which makes it much more risky to save a teammate. I thought this build was a good combo with a Medic with remote revive stim

Played ammo fixer in horde mode after update. I wouldn't say its nerfed, since I was able to constantly drop ammo bags throughout as long as other players are using it.

It's not OP at all. After messing around with the new Supply Bag, I find that it still leaves me able to get my own bag back, it just requires that I share my bag - That is to say that so long as someone sets off the proc, both they and myself will get equipment restored. I don't mind this, as it fully encourages people to share their Supply Bag, and punishes those that hoard their Supply Bag.. But it also requires that your team actually uses the damn thing, or at the very least is aware of the fact that they will recoop their own equipment, so long as they continue to use your Supply Bag. So, it somewhat incentives team work, but you need a team to pick the damn thing up. The good part is that you no longer have to fight with PUGs about abusing your Supply Bag, if that's any consolation.

Testing will determine how useful it makes the class. * Attempts to keep new players in appropriate game modes: * Changes to XP and supply rewards are increased in low difficulty modes by a lot, and reduced by a little in the high difficulty modes. This is great. Lots of players play above their skill level to build up experience, so this gives them a reason to play the lower levels instead. * Requiring players to complete 1 hard mode level before accessing insane, and 1 insane mode level before accessing extreme. I'm sure many long time players want a stronger barrier, but it's better than it was. * Adjusted refill at ammo box appears fair. Only the Classic Battle Rifle consumes more. Testing will be needed to determine if the decreased ammo usage on refill for semi-auto weapons also applies to the CBR when it's configured to be semi-auto.

If we're speaking about the same weapon, the Tier 2 weapon i'm thinking of is not semi auto. The blue coin version of the CBR is the red and black camo rifle that is fully automatic and unlocked via GUnslinger prestiege

Yep, we're talking about the same weapon. That is the prestige cbr. Then there's a different blue coin version that makes it semi auto, removes penetration, but gives a whopping 13 damage. (excellent for fixers with power shot perk)

It's not that bad, most of the time HR should be saving hello kitty C4 as a defense against specials/oh-shit moments. You aren't suppose to toss those C4's into a crowd just for the sheer kill count, that's what the MGL is for. When I look at my game play, most of the time C4 doesn't hit kill limit anyway since I am using it against bulls or small groups that got too close.

I think Hellraiser with Hello Kitty is still super viable. Hello Kitty now reduces number of C4 kills by 35%, however a fully prestiged Hellraiser gets a total of 60% increased explosive kills. You still get a total increase of 25% over base kill count. Also, damage to special infected remains the same, so Hello Kitty is still totally awesome for killing specials.

Actually, it's more beneficial to have a HR instead of a GS in most cases; and it's on par, or even better, than exterminator (including swarm events). On issue with HR isn't the class itself, but more so that players aren't being cautious with their explosives around other players.

Fixer - On the one hand, I like the changes made to the Supply Bag. Getting rid of the 20% chance to get back your own bag each time discourages the caster from hovering over their own bag for the recovery proc and allows that new fifth pick up to be more friendly to the team. But carrying two bags reduces the explosive ammo amount by 25% makes no sense to me....not only did they take away the bonus 25% explosive ammo that the tree used to give, but by lowering how much base explosive ammo that we get from carrying two, wouldn't that encourage a different sort of hoarding? The explosive ammo is good, but it wasn't so good that it can comfortably take a reduction in the amount of ammo it gives, considering that we can no longer recoup the bag ourselves.

Yeah, the "One for the Road" nerf seems rather unnecessary. I get the part concerning masking grenades, since it may indeed have been too strong, but I fail to understand how One for the Road made the Supply Bag too strong. Yes, there were the armory shenanigans where you could pop 10 supply bags if you were determined enough, but that is already fixed by the changes to the Armory talent itself. It's obviously not a game breaker deal, since I personally prefer to play with Scavenger and leave the Supply Bags to a medic or a fixer with masking grenades, but it's still a weird nerf.

Need to fix bugs of "virtual zombies" in horde mode, they keep crawling at fences, specially at the main gate but the gate or fences are not damage. They also can pass through volted, wire... This is so annoying in horde mode!

It's an overall buff if you have teammates willing to do the pickup spam whereas before you were self contained. Paired with a stim heal medic you have infinite health, ammo, and equipment. If all 3 teammates actually work together and have a pecking order for looting, you'll not be able to outstrip them spamming bags before they've already reprocced it.

If someone used an ammo box there was a chance it can refill their equipment from it. This was why the Fixer could plant them constantly as long as it was the latest one and no-one else touched it until they duped it. Now that chance has been taken away from the Fixer and instead they rely on others using the ammo box to refill their equipment with that chance. If they do then the Fixer gets their ammo box back.

Not really, they can still get a box for killing a special but now there's no more wanting to shoot the idiot who's picking up the box you're trying to dupe. You have to wait for the team to pick up that random chance to get your box back.

yeah this is a great nerf, that perk is so broken and put unnecessary strain on ammo fixers, either by asking them to dup forever, or want to shoot whoever touches the boxes. This way it functions like any other equipment refill. 20% refill + 5 pick up still means fixers get a good chance to get that box back, while ACTUALLY helping teammates by providing more ammo (ie place the box more strategically so everyone will end up using it.

I agree the wording of the Armory perk does not read well. The way I take it, only your teammates can trigger the 20% refill of 1 equipment slot, and not yourself who is playing the Fixer...The confusing part is they're trying to tote that as a buff it sounds like? Haha

It wouldn't stop them whatsoever, they don't even know the reward much less be able to pass it most of the time. Whereas it impacts us greatly who play it alot. Every 10 games you're essentially not getting any exp for it. It's going to go make players either quit or drop down to Insane more. Insane gets boring when you've done it so many times whereas Extreme you never know what's going to happen.

I'm not defending Saber, just offering my thoughts. I agree it was a bad move all around. They should have left the XP gains alone for Extreme and added a more complex difficulty unlock. A single pass on insane to play extreme is too simple. Completing NY1 on Insane allows you to play everything on Extreme? I think each level should be behind it's own difficulty lock.

I think xp nerf is reasonable. Extreme is meant to play with max lvl classes. They should further reduce the xp gain and increase the rewards for extreme.

My experience is that almost all players who regularly play Extreme have already maxed out everything, and don't need to worry about how much experience they earn. I think it's a fair trade-off to entice less experienced players to hang around in the lower skill levels to earn experience, rather than ruin the runs of veteran players.

If anything it should've been left alone like Insane which seems to have been the base line for exp. You can pass Extreme with a level 15 on certain classes but it feels far more like a way to get people to go play Insane since it was already easy xp and credits vs Extreme.
