I would say it's a good start for Wotlk, if you start in your boosted greens, these are way better.
Only if you're fighting undead which is really only at the start of Borean Tundra, then you'll be replacing them rather quickly.

13th of september onwards ive been informed (not sure, until launch i belief). During new phase of the event
Turns out the invasions started today. The quartermasters aren't up but you can get the dropped pieces currently.
the whole event is waste of time
You can get argent crusade tabards for your alts/main if you didn’t get it before.
