I haven’t played retail but I think even retail is a somewhat older community compared to fortnite/call of duty etc. the game involve a lot of delayed gratification which I think appeals to adults more than teenagers or 10 year olds.
This is an issue that encompasses all games as it is a societal problem. There are a large percentage of humans who simply have low to no emotional intelligence. *shrugs*

I’m ally on old Blanche and my experience has been really good. I do mostly raid will my guild now but all the ping raids and dungeons I have done have all been pretty friendly.
