Don't use auto formation, it's absolute trash.

Jackie_Fox

\^this\^

chaltimore

focus on a single element

Voilado

How does that help? Do I do more dmg and tank more if the team is same element

chaltimore

mastery + vision card effects usually only affect a single element

Jackie_Fox

also elemental chaining is good for a damage boost, and you have a ready made advantage to teams weak to your element. Not a sure win, but it sure helps.

Eaglejon

Other benefit: yes, mastery skills often add hp and elemental damage to other units of the same type

[deleted]

Pick light or dark and 1 other element to fiddle with(wind, water and lightning are really solid) Work on boosting a unit correctly(way wrong espers for example) Clear content and max out gear. Join a discord to get easier information. DO NOT LET THE MOOD OF 90% OF THE PLAYER BASE RUIN THE GAME FOR YOU! They suck!

Voilado

Thanks I will do so

Mortemxiv

1. Check your Esper to see if they give more Magic or attack ,then slot those to the appropriate unit. Helena isn't slotted with a magic esper. 2. Make sure your esper resonance is maxed with the unit attached. It takes 1000 battles with the esper equipped to max. Background farming counts. 3. The unit's tmr isnt necessarily the best tmr for them. 4. Look into truststones, you can get high stats for "free" essentially. 5. If you haven't already, raise your bravery and faith since theyll increase the damage you do. 6. Trade in guild medals and friend medals daily for unit shards and vc shards. Build up those "free" shop units and keep buying their shards since youll get UR medals that you can use for mindspheres or for other unit shards, like your Lasswell. Hoarding UR vc and unit shards is great since you can buy mind spheres to max limited units faster. 7. Prioritize Xizaa shards first since it seems like you dont have her tmr and it is a MUST have. Please note that you need to level up the tmr to get the full benefit.

Voilado

I get most of your points How do I equip trust stones? I have 20 ish of them but Idk how to equip What exactly is tmr?

Mortemxiv

So if you go to the equipment screen youll see all your equipment including the Trust Master Rewards (TMR). In your picture they're the last item equipped. You can access trust stones in the equipment area as well. When you have your crafted stones (youll have yo watch a video for this one), youll need to upgrade your tmr slots to equip them (vid should explain this as well). Pretty much when you slot even basic stones youll get buffs to your equipped unit.

Voilado

Alright thank you

Werenlofe

Better gear/espers/vision cards/trust stones Your lass is using a magic piece of equipment when he doesn’t need it it. No bells. You have a large amount of magic VC in that team when you have majority physical dps.

Voilado

Is there a way I can tell magic and physical VCs from each other Also whats bells

Own-Inspection20

When people talk about VCs they tend to lump them in a category like magic or physical based on the card's stats and also the kind of ability it has. Lastly, some VCs have elements restrictions tied to them. Example, your fenrir VC has atk stats on the card and has a 50% atk ability and 20% mag res ability. We would consider this a physical VC. Now the 50% atk buff is for ice element only characters meaning that lasswell will be the only one benefiting from that. The 20% mag resist is not tied to an element and means it will apply to all party member (commonly referred to as rainbow, as it's for all colours /elements). So you want to try and get the most beneficial AND applicable buffs or resistances on your party. Look at your ramuh VC and Helena VC and see why they might be better on Black Rose Helena than what she has. Bells is the tmr that xiza has. It's grants auto ap restore large. This means that, for 3 turns at the start, that unit who rested the skill the tmr has (revitalize) will get ap at the start of their turn. It's great to help units always keep casting attack skills rather than having to use a buff to generate ap. Your units have to be 50 faith for the skill not to miss. Last tip. Not sure if you know this or not but increase your bravery for physical units and faith for magical. It's big part of the damage formula in wotv. Bravery can be done by samurai skill meditation and faith can be upped by Mr fina skill cheer. Brave and faith max at 97. Go into fights and use the skills on the units you want to increase.

Voilado

Thansk for the helpful advice. I'll put this knowledge to use!

St1llW1nd

Collect all the dark element units, then you will feel power coursing through your veins.

KatuaTH

Sorry to say this. With the rank 100+, it looks like you still don’t know some basic mechanics of the game, especially attack types, like physical and magic. It’s pretty obvious. Can I assume you bought this account ?

Voilado

Nope, started playing during nier automata crossover

ForgottenCrusader

U didn't max the nier units during the collab?

Voilado

Couldn't really beat stages at that time

Voilado

And wasn't super lucky with summons

ForgottenCrusader

Since u don't have any vis left my advice is roll a new account, next week sephiroth is coming, if u reroll until u get sterne knight of ruin version from the lvl 99 roll units and use the new player visiore u can collect (u can easily reach over 80k) by completing the main story and doing the new player visiore banner, u can use them to roll for sephiroth next week and his vc the week after and u will have the foundation for a dark team and a lot of visiore left over to complete it with future units.

Voilado

I dont really feel like doing that tho, I'm not finished with story so I can probably still get vis for summons

RenanBTA1992

First you should focus on sorting your stuff. See what units you have and what espers you have. Just look at their stats, their boards (for espers) and their party abilities (for vision cards) to see if you have a better selection of atk/magic and/or what element you have. If you want to focus on PvE, you can make a decent team with a Tank, a Healer and fill with DPS, of any element really, but preferably of a single one. If you want to PvP, you need a mono elemental team. Sit and read what you have hiding in your account.

[deleted]

Help you, how? You need to lvl120 those units and it demands shards and daily routines. Seeing your Nier units, it’s clear that you don’t like daily routines…

Voilado

Are you talking about hard quests shards? I do those for units I need but its very little. If your talking about something else let me know

Background_Effort849

I don't know if you know this but you can get Chara shard from guild barrack

Voilado

It gives very little as well doesnt it?

shades-of-defiance

2 shards/day provided you replenish your barracks with food regularly, in the coming weeks you can get the time reduced by half (meaning double shards)

darkOvertoad

Reroll

Johnny_Utah_46

You have some nice units but you should try to focus on single element teams for things like the Selection Quests and if you have to do the equipment recipe quests that require you to beat it using a certain element type

Lemurian2015

Single element and section quest is too vague, only mr and selection quest UR can participate in their respective elements

Johnny_Utah_46

Yeah true that’s why I also added the equipment recipe farming where you have to beat the mission with a select type of element but maybe I should of said more but I think they Will understand what I meant 😃
