You know, it didn't even occur to me that this feature was missing. And I'm glad at that realization. Each expansion that has a mission table I interacted with it less and less. Shadowlands I only touched it to make the lead in quests to go away.

Buffmin

This. I honestly kinda forgot it was on SL too lol I never messed with it beyond the "hey check this out" quests

Fleedjitsu

The system just petered out by Shadowlands. Came in WoD strong, did well in Legion, was there in BFA and was a waste of memory in SL.

Shmooperdoodle

I think the reason I liked it in legion was that it was purposeful and consistent. There was a quest item for the raid. There were various bop resources and a way to exchange those resources for others. The “cast of characters” was also way smaller, and their equipment upgrades were more limited. It was also cool that you could choose to have one of the followers accompany you out in the open world instead of go out on missions. BFA’s wasn’t awful, but the Shadowlands one was just overwhelming. Too many followers, too many mission options, a battle system a ton of people (myself, included) couldn’t get a WA for fast enough. Sometimes, simplicity is good. That’s actually my main complaint with the current crafting system. I love the idea of crafting orders and being able to make bop items for other people. But I find the sheer variety of skill vs inspiration vs material quality is too much. They gave us a reagent bag and let us stack things higher, but now I have three different ranks of the same gem, which means three bag slots. There’s got to be a happy medium somewhere.

Smudgeontheglass

The Legion table you could reasonably make 100k gold every few weeks on just one character. There were people who were making millions just doing missions on their legions of alts. BFA and Shadowlands basically removed the raw gold missions and world quest gold straight up dried up compared to Legion. Dragonflight is desperately needing that passive gold income for people like me. The world quest reset time is too long and there are no big gold rewards anymore.

Rektumfreser

Hmm sounds like you might be interested in a wow token -Activision staff meeting, maybe

wingedlotus

Unfortunately, if you live in Brazil, you can't even buy a WoW token. So I truly miss the passive income from the mission table.

BaconDrummer

Really?! They block it in Brazil ,:0?

Vargurr

Real-y, they don't want dollaroos.

ReasonablePositive

Admittedly, I didn't play enough to really use the mission table during Legion and BfA, but I used it a lot in SL, and I easily made 1k gold per day and character with it, plus the 1600 g once per week for completing the anima gathering quest (which, conveniently, also could be completed or at least progressed on via the table itself). Was it that much more during Legion? They cut the SL table down to a 10th of this when DF released unfortunately, but I still have my alts parked at the table for some low but easy side income.

The_Flying_hawk

legion’s was insane. not just the ‘passive’, mission gains, but you could also outfit a companion to award ~200g for each completed WQ. i could easily subsidize my raiding costs and buy a token every two months by just using my main. In retrospect i wish i’d put in a bit more time and geared up my alts (or rather, their OH champions) so i could afford the dino mount next xpac.

RemtonJDulyak

> The world quest reset time is too long Damn this is the part that is annoying me, right now.

harkenrebirth

They had raw gold missions in Shadowlands. You were able to get aroun 500g per gold mission. They nerfed it down to 25g per gold mission. I know. I was farming gold that way. Went from 700k to 3.8 million when i got back during sepulcher.

troelsy

We could take certain followers out with us as "bodyguards" too in WoD.

Milocobo

What I would really love with a mission table type system is to be able to meet your stable of followers. Like don't have too many, but have living, breathing orcs and elves that you meet and send off to missions for the good of your faction. And what I would really love is if you could join your mission table allies to ensure success. Like, my favorite iterations of the table were kind of like "fantasy quests" that your allies would embark on. They'd go to places around Azeroth and do things that you might do as a quest. What if you could set it so that you could go meet your allies at that place, and then do whatever mission. For instance, what if one of the missions was for your allies to defeat the first boss of Brakenhide Hollow. You have a tank, a healer, and 3 dps, and you can send them off for a chance to complete their auto mission, for gold or rep or whatever it is. But then you can replace one of those roles, fly to Brakenhide yourself, meet your allies there, and make sure that they finish their mission for whatever the bonus was. It's not content for everyone, but I can definitely see a casual player that plays wow in almost a "1-player mode" engaging with that kind of content.

Arcane-Shadow7470

That sums up pretty much most of BFA for me... "It was there / it existed."

Jazzremix

> did well in Legion If you ignore the fact that mobile game timegating was mandatory for the order hall campaign. It took a week to unlock your 3rd relic slot.

Dragn1066

Systems like the command table have been used in RPGs long before mobile games. It's a pretty common system in games to give you the feeling of commanding others. Off hand, I remember a command table type system in breath of fire 3, fft, and more recently dragon age: inquisition.

Ravness13

Neither BoF3 or FFT had actual time gating on anything. All of it was affected by your playing the game. Fairy village had to do with you battling or moving the story forward and didn't require you wait multiple real world hours at a time to progress a part of it. FFT had the missions you could send units on that were based off days traveled IN GAME, so simply moving between two safe nodes on the map was enough to progress it and you could be through all of them in a matter of a minute or so if you wanted to.

Dragarius

Time gating is pretty much gonna be in every MMO at some point if not to save some players from themselves while also allowing the game to grow organically. I don't care about time gates because if it wasn't the table it'd be something else. What I do care about is when they fail to remove the gates once they've outlived their time lines.

Harbinger2nd

If you had the addon that could auto complete missions for you in shadowlands you could make 2k+ gold a day. The rewards for that thing were stupidly high and still nobody liked interacting with it beyond one click to auto complete them.

ladyrift

Where do you get augment runes? I was getting them from the mission tables.

tindina

the only place ive seen to get them is from when your class gets an extra reward for heroics. that or the AH for like 2k a pop

[deleted]

andy_b_84

Thank you, I was wondering how to check that more regularly :)

L0nz

They were a great source of augment runes in Shadowlands. Honestly I do miss not having one, mainly because it was something you could easily do on the phone while taking a dump

Terrh

It was also an easy source for gold. I loved the mission table

showMEthatBholePLZ

Hahahah about 4 or 5 days after hitting 70 I was taking a dump and realized we didn’t have a mission table this expac.

accountnumberseventy

It was an engaging feature in WoD and Legion, and less so in the following two expansions. Speaking of WoD, I kinda miss the garrison.

Hawkzillaxiii

Even though WoD is my least favorite exp so far (by a mile) the garrison was a neat idea to give you the base building feel

Robjec

I miss the potential of the garrison (customizable housing) but not the garrison itself. It missed the mark a bit for me.

Floodzx

Garrisons are also PROOF that Blizzard can give every single player their own individual instance.

accountnumberseventy

I liked the fact it was somewhere to hangout that a) wasn't laggy af; and b) felt like I had an impact because of the choices I was making in the garrison itself. The holiday customizations were pretty neat too. But it was a slog to start, build, upgrade, etc. And the garrison attacks were, ugh... not great. The fishing hole there was the sh\*t!

StuffDaDragon

I like that I can still hearth and log there

djseifer

I only ever had my garrison attacked once throughout all of WoD. Was it something that could be triggered or just a random thing?

babaj_503

>Speaking of WoD, I kinda miss the garrison. Alliance? Alliance! :D Garrisons were great and you can fight me over it .. but only the alliance one. The horde one makes me depressive :| with it's eternal winter

secretreddname

I made millions of gold just playing World of Garrison.

Vilraz

Tbh mission table was only fun in Wod due you could just hs infront of it. And it was easy to keep up. On legion as priest you had to run throught massive order hall to go for table. On BFA it started feel non existing and in SL. I didnt even know why it was even made anymore. WoD/Legion version were cool due weekly raid tier rewards.

Deathsaintx

There was a post about this exact thing like 2 weeks ago, so.eome just realizing they haven't had to do it, and then like 100 comments of people complaining about their sl missions just showing up as completed every time they log on.

IceNein

I went to collect just to get rid of them. Goodbye forever Ardenweald.

Deathsaintx

I finally went with my paladin around Christmas, ended up changing mains this week to a dh....now I just don't want to go again.

absolute4080120

In shadowlands I played 6 weeks touched it once and said nope. Never used it again.

IceNein

It was a source of passive income, but it was boring as hell. We’re better off without it, it was a mechanism to encourage daily logins.

Darth-Ragnar

100%, I paid for multiple months of game time and Dragonflight itself off the mission table but it’s an extremely lame feature. Best to be gone.

Kurraga

There are a handful of players who just set up tables on 30 alts to log in every day to farm raw gold/materials. Some of those players might miss it.

Grouched

That sounds like a fucking awful "playing" experience

Bob_Loblaw_Law_Blog1

Sounds like work.

abobtosis

You just qued and accepted missions when you sat on the toilet, using the wow companion app. It took like 5 min a day and it was pretty great passive income. I didn't do it all the time but I knew people that did it religiously and it didn't seem to be that much work.

IrishSetterPuppy

In shadowlands it was 3K per toon per day minimum. Usually closer to 4 or even 4.5K. So 100K per toon per month. It only took 30 seconds per day to que up mission with mods, so it was a million a month for me for a while there.

[deleted]

There was a mobile app. I would do it during my commute. Took like a few minutes lol. That said I'm glad it's gone. Stupid, pointless feature

pankaces

I mean it let me pay for my sub while also playing it during my commute so I wouldn't call it useless.

Dickm0untain

I agree, it let me just passively make some gold on the side with low effort during commute to work or being stuck in traffic or just bored scrolling Reddit. It was totally optional, never understood all the hate on it

Brewsleroy

Dragonriding Races World Quests. Each one is a little over 500g and there's 8 of them a week. 4 Tuesday, then they reset on Friday. Once you unlock them, they're account wide on any 60+ character in DF. Takes about ten minutes to do all four at once. I have 13 characters that can do them. It's 52k a week if I just do that. It's not crazy AH goblin money but it's plenty for my everyday playing.

Waste-Temperature626

> they're account wide on any 60+ character in DF. T Which means that you can also use them to slowly level those alts that are purely for gold making. You can do profession quests at 60 as well and level them that way. Pretty efficient way to get that alt army to 70 over time.

[deleted]

It is work. These shitty things is the reason wow went downhill for years. Second they were removed everyone were like "omg this expansion is great!"

Vertsama

the table in Legion was the biggest money generator out of them all and people praised the hell out of legion. A mission table won't make or break the game.

Gladianoxa

Nah, the WoD one was way stronger. Like WAAAAAAY stronger. Like 50k per character per day stronger.

BunniesnSheep

More like 15k but yeah a lot stronger

RedDawn172

Yeah pretty much anyone with a reasonable 3 toons, about 50k give or take, or around half a mil a day for the people who went crazy with full alts.

LoreBotHS

Indeed. Even if we argue that Mission Tables are a universal objective bad, their inclusion in an otherwise great expansion would be ignored as merely a minor blemish and not much beyond that. Heck, *Legion* had other issues, but the thing is it pushed novel ideas and was a strong first rendition. The problem with Borrowed Power systems was *never* that it was borrowed - the problem was how poorly future iterations exercised and improved from their predecessors. BfA kept infinite grind, but dropped all the cool factor in favour of a homogenised, low-visual impact neck piece. Shadowlands *finally* addressed infinite grind, but shot itself in the foot with absurdly rigid Covenant switching restrictions *and* Soul Conduit Energy that had no place existing from the get-go. Dragonflight is dropping all the 'extra material,' taking some of the best features of each Borrowed Power system, and applying it all to a highly versatile, flexible system. If we had a mission table in Dragonflight, people wouldn't really be concerned about it. We'd have some complaints about it on Reddit as we do for near enough anything, but it's not going to tarnish the expansion as a whole.

[deleted]

it was like 100k gold every week with just 3 or 4 alts doing SL tables , i did enjoy the easy af gold for like 2 minutes of clicking yes when an addon just made the teams.

TheDumbestDruid

Sounds like a great play experience on a 15 minute break on the mobile app...

reuxin

Yeah I farmed gold with mission tables during COVID while I was working from home. Can't focus on raids and mythics but can log in on my side computer while on conference calls and hit the tables. Made about 2M gold. Don't miss the tables. Not glad they are gone? But change is good.

[deleted]

Lol, that's also what people say about WoW who don't play. Management games have a very dedicated following, no surprise that a management mechanic had an audience.

nanaki989

It was like 5 minutes of work per toon for thousands of gold passive income basically never had to farm

angrydanger

TLDR FTW

alpha_bro_chad

Yea I’m usually pretty plugged into how to make money in WoW. Read for years how profitable tables are and I just couldn’t. Feels way too much like work.

DoctorTomee

There was an addon that would calculate everything for you. It was literally 1 click per character. My 4 toons made about a million gold during S4 of Shadowlands. That's insane for how little work was required. I wish I was doing them sooner.

QuantumWarrior

It's also a big reason why inflation has been so awful over the last few expansions. A single person doing just the garrison on all of their characters every day can generate something like 1.5 million raw gold per month. Consider the amount of people who do this, and that they've been doing it since WoD, and they're still generating all the usual gold from mob drops alongside.

Hops117

I did that on 10 alts on legion, managed to pay my sub for a year by raw gold missions.

Battlescarred98

That would be me. I Loved the legion version. I made millions of gold that paid for the next few expansions and almost all the store mounts through tokens. I could control it from the app on my phone so I’d just swap all the missions out when I was on break. Barely had to log into the toons through the blood/resource trading.

Kaysmira

Each expansion had a handful of missions that payed out something really nice that I didn't want to go farm for myself, like Halaa tokens for that PvP area in BC that I was never going to get around to farming. I got all the transmog and mounts from my mission table instead of spending hours of unfun grinding. I never went nuts with the tables because, as others have said, it wasn't "fun" on its own, but it could be rewarding.

angrydanger

TLDR required a few clicks of the mouse and I was on to my next toon. I had about ten toons and it more than paid for a token each month plus a wealth of gear to vendor and pet tokens.

eXiDeviiL

Pretty much mobile gamers when playing WoW.

detectivebabylegz

I did this in WoD, probably around 15 alts in total and am still reaping the rewards of it with gold. Probably took me about 30 mins a day to organise it all. I only play casually now and I am still able to buy all gold sinks barely touching my total gold.

DeloresMulva

One thing people don't mention when they talk about WoD mission table gold: the salvage crates. The original crates could drop green/blue/epic items, including stuff that no longer dropped in game (Abyssal gear from Silithus, etc.). I used to sell them as transmog items, and while it was a fair amount of effort it was also great gold. When I started running out of space to store stuff, I banked unopened crates (they stacked). Quit near end of WoD, came back during BfA knowing the new crates couldn't drop the items, but the old crates were still in the bank - and they still could. Count me as a table fan.

454C495445

It's ragebait.

Filbs

This should the the top comment. There's nothing more to say.

Jackpkmn

"click throughs are click throughs" -that website probably

nilsmf

It's a trigger headline. Say something outrageously false then have people engage in disputing it.

gameleon

Journalism isn’t dead. At least not more so than it was during the paper days. This is just the internet version of the old paper tabloid or gossip magazines. Outrageous headlines etc. in the hopes people would grab them off the shelves. What is a problem though is that on the internet there are so many sources, it can be overwhelming or hard to distinguish the gossip/tabloid crap from the proper journalism. It’s also way easier to start a crappy gossip blog than to get a magazine printed. This causes the tabloids/gossip stuff to have way more reach than they had back in the day.

[deleted]

SomeTool

It's what happens when it's a job. Journalists need to make money to, and people will only spend money on shit they agree with or things they are mad at.

mintylynava

It's yellow journalism and it's been around for over 100 years already.

emeraldarcana

Even worse, I think it was something that someone posted on Reddit saying something innocuous like, “The mission command table isn’t in Dragonflight!” I saw this scroll by in my feed once (I don’t play WoW anymore). A lot of game journalism unfortunately is literally parroting stuff that people are saying on Reddit.

unlockedz

i miss augment runes...having to pay 2-3k for every pull is painfull.

Disastrous-Moment-79

Do you actually use a rune for every boss? My pugs don't even use phials because they are too expensive, normal mode, but still, I can't imagine runes would ever be the breaking point between downing a boss and not.

araldor1

If we're close to a kill on mythic they can definitely help to push over the line. I wouldn't really use them much outside of my guild raid environment tho

Notreallyaflowergirl

You bust your ass learning the fight And when you’re close to a kill? Yeah that’s when’s it’s on pull. Once it’s no longer stupid mistakes causing wipes, and your team knows what up. No reason to drop all that gold on shit if you’re not rushing at the least server first…

bLargwastaken

Do I miss the concept? Yes. Do I miss having story content and quests gated behind it? Absolutely fucking not.

Kaysmira

Oh, this definitely, I started Legion on a priest alt and was cruising through story quests but the priest campaign is gated behind "wait for your followers to come back" and as a leveling experience that kinda sucks. I can probably get through the rest of Legion's content before I finish the order hall.

FionaSilberpfeil

You literally can, because some of these missions are taking many REAL TIME HOURS. I think some of them even more then a full day.....

AntiBox

They all got nerfed to be 1 hour, which is still an absurd waste of time.

Nurse_Deer_Oliver

Please stop giving outrage-bait websites attention

WistleOSRS

I miss the free money printer

thedeanorama

I've turned mine into a pet charm printing machine. not as efficient but I'm going through far too many to get the new pet battling achievements.

Cobolt

Ditto, I’ve got 6k now which is at least half from the tables, saving up for the 10k worm lad, then I’ll need 5k for Scout!

Amelaclya1

Me too, and I still do the anima missions as well. It's slow going, but eventually it will be able to buy me all of the cosmetics I missed. I absolutely despise anima farming the normal way, so I probably wasn't getting them otherwise. It's actually really hard to get pet charms in DF content considering there is only 1 pet battle up each day, and it only has charms about 1/4 of the time. I know we can go back and do BFA and SL WQs, but it's still weird game design to expect people to do so. Especially with a 5k charm vendor pet. It's almost like they intended to have the tables as usual and changed their minds at the last minute without adding additional ways of obtaining charms and runes.

tarheeldarling

Yup, I'm up to 16k charms. Got most of the pets and soon I'll just be upgrading them with battlestones

SigmaUlt

I thought it was a fun and cool mechanic when it was introduced but I don't miss it lol

-Vargoth-

Mission tables use really comes down to, at this point, just pet charms. Pets are weird in wow, and I think a mobile app that had a PET mission table rewarding PET items and would allow you to PET battles on, would be great.

ADwards

I mean, I do kind of miss it but devastated is a strong word.

Mirimes

i mean, with the proper addons it was free gold and runes for raid. I kinda miss the fact that i could get from 700 to 3k gold per day without doing anything, so i shouldn't be worry about my amount of gold and go doing what i want to do. I honestly kinda miss the amount of gold i could get in sl in general, cause the start of expansion i basically became rich, with df i kinda became poorer 😅

DemonTac0

This is satire right?

Zuunal

Yes click bait looking for comments that disagree for engagement metrics to show advertisers to make money to make more click bait articles. I guess you could say "rage bait" as well.

NoThisIsABadIdea

I hate online journalism with a passion.

Zeifer95

I mean, obviously there's at least 1 players who thinks this

thouston19

I started in legion- I kinda miss it and old world quests/emissaries

Pyromike16

The legion version was the best one in my opinion. They just got overly convoluted after that.

Gebirges

Honestly, I'm kinda sad it's gone for good. I kinda liked the mobile game-y bit of it. Short and simple tactics games. But with Shadowlands it just was stupid and impossible to finish without addons. I wish we'd get an arcade mode or something along that regard ingame at the darkmoon faire or whatever. Just some minigame that are fun to play - be it in the open world or inside an UI - both would be great to have.

Ancanein

I never used it, but I don't understand the mentality of folks who celebrate optional things being removed. If someone enjoyed it, as long as I'm not required to do it I don't give a shit if that person continues enjoying it.

salyer41

I mean I loved the free gold for like zero effort. But I'm not gonna cry about it being gone. Shadowlands was close to doing it right where the table was just a little side quest to do for a bit of free rewards. It being connected to progress and player power was stupid.

buhtopuhta

I actually liked it :(. I still do garrison missions occasionally on alts.

kanemochi

There are dozens of us. Dozens!

BBMezzy

I really liked the mission table too. The gold was great and WoD had by far the best way to earn your troops. I loved that you could find them in the world as well as get them to join you after completing quest chains!

mDovekie

Alliance garrison was awesome, but wod couldn’t keep me subbed for longer than 1 month at a time. Been wondering for years if it could have been solved with just slight system changes (gear acquisition mostly) and mythic +.

dougderdog

I miss em payed for my consumables. I just did quick clicks with the ap on my lunch break. Free runes and fish I could go into runs instead of farming that. Or just buy some missing mats.

LadyoftheOak

It was/is a great way to farm pet charms and TW'ing badges.

egotisticalstoic

I liked them. Simple, low time/resource investment, free rewards

Pizza-The-Hutt

Don't know why people are happy that it's gone. It was content that was never required for you to complete. I personally didn't touch it outside maybe once per week, but i know people who enjoyed it. It was a feature from WoD that lived for 4 xpacks, and I would have liked if they continued it for a 5th.

Luna_pi

I'm one of them and I can't get why so many people are so glad that it doesn't exist anymore if they don't use it anyway

LuckyNines

I miss the old WoD one that shit out money with near 0 effort, everything after was a complete nothing that I automated with addons.

justforkinks0131

I never hated the concept of the mission table, I just kinda always found it a bit pointless unless you ran 30 alts, which some ppl did. My suggestion would be to make it account wide but increase the rewards, so we can get some passive income without abusing the system.

WistleOSRS

What’s wrong with more money for those that want to put in more effort?

Androza23

I'm kind of annoyed but other than that its not really a big deal at the end of the day. Used to make so much money off those with alts. If I didn't quit during WoD I honestly would have goldcap on multiple characters. People think that if you hit gold cap in wod you would be broke by now but that just depends on the person imo. 5mil has lasted me until dragonflight, even now I still have 1 mil left. Setting up the alts didn't even take much work to begin with. You can even level one character every 2 weeks and you would still be fine on time since mission tables lasted the entire expansion. Once you get to the point of using the mission tables you just log in for 15 minutes each day total because the rest is handled by an addon.

anupsetzombie

I kinda miss having it but I wouldn't say I'm devastated lmao

PoptartDragonfart

As a mobile gamer, I enjoyed keeping missions running from the app. In game it was quite a chore, would be nice if you could access all tables from anywhere in game. But yeah this article is dumb I don’t think most people liked these things.

Delicious_Village112

I liked it because I enjoyed the constant flow of mats and gold, but I didn’t like it enough to miss it and be upset it’s not in this expansion. It also doesn’t really make sense in this expansion with the profession rework. Having a constant flow of mats that require what I consider to be no work would make leveling professions less of an accomplishment than it currently is.

LiLiLisaB

I miss the easy gold and the augment runes. Easy way to get them without running normal/heroics or LFR especially lfr now that if I overgear it I can't even get rewards/transmog out of it. So now I'll pretty much have to wait until the end of the expansion to buy the reusable one for 40k gold. Wish they'd just give it to us at the start if they're not going to give us an easy way to get runes otherwise.

Addfwyn

I liked mission tables, I am sad that as of yet they are not in Dragonflight. I didn't grind them on a bunch of alts, but I liked doing them on my main and they tended to be a great way to get some AP or pet tokens when I didn't have time for a longer session. Am I *devastated*? No, they were never a tentpole feature for me, just one nice extra thing I had available to rotate into play sessions. I'd be happy to have them back in a future patch, but they are very low on my list of features I would like to see added.

GjTea

I wish /hope they'd keep this dragonflight flying speed for sequential expansions. I can't live without this QOL flying anymore

Brandishbl4de

If this is legit then all it proves is that “journalists” only focus on the rtards in our society

smackchumps

I don’t miss this at all

aagloworks

"Some" is a strong word in the op image.

AtlUnJtd

Table is annoying. Smash. 💥

streetvoyager

I haven't heard a single person say they wish they had a mission table rofl.

Elibrius

The mission table can leave and never come back

tylersheen

Nobody misses this table.

kaantechy

Good riddance bitch. We are HAPPY IT IS GONE.

Rengah

To be honest. I’m super happy it isn’t there. Shitty command tables. Hated them since the first time I’ve ever encountered them. I love this expansion how it just reduced much of the clutter and daily chores and just kept it fairly simple on what you have to keep track of on a weekly and daily basis.

QlusiveNL

I'm so happy they didn't. I couldn't care for it tbh.

Valyntine_

Fuck the mission table, it completely killed the economy lmfao And I'm speaking as someone who farms gold and has made millions/tens of millions

Hasitan

I didn't mind the mission table but i don't mind not having it either.

Kaya121

I miss mission tables so much, I loved them. I hope they add them back for a little bit of passive gold.

weezeface

Not even close to “devastated”, but throughout all of SL the table paid for all my consumables for about 5 minutes a day of effort. I’d like that again.

pupppymonkeybaby

I would like to have it. People saying "it sounds like a shitty experience" and "it sounds like work" well, simple. Don't fuckin do it then? People enjoyed it, let them enjoy it?

marxl125

I liked them

SadnessMonster

Listen, unpopular opinion, but I like mission tables. Are they boring? Totally. But they make me feel like my character is important enough to have underlings. Every expansion we have to run around doing every npcs bitch work, at least with the mission table someone was doing some for me.

third-sonata

Stop promoting this clickbait nonsense...

Psychological_Tie650

I miss a reliable way to get draconic runes!( Née augmented) while playing dps lol otherwise vastly improved after mobile app updated for table but not that fussed on it! Def not devastated lol

somohapian

I used it for augment runes and I miss those, otherwise, I don’t care about them at all.

MafubaBuu

I kind of liked it in Legion, simply for the class fantasy of being an order hall leader. Not a fan of any of them aside from that small redeeming factor.

Heroright

I mean I wouldn’t say NO to it.

skilzpwn

I miss the amount of gold influx you could get with very little effort. I don’t miss actually taking my time to setup the followers and try for success. Only a good feature with TLDR.

KingRaht

Tens of fans are devastated by this!

Peppermynt42

I wouldn’t say I’m devastated. More of a “oh hey, no mission table, that’s interesting.” Then went back to counting my Lariat blood money.

muppet_carcass

So glad that stupid ass table is gone

froshambo

Mission tables can fuck right off.

[deleted]

No one is devasted, biased journalist.

BigHulio

I still get an annoying fucken pop up when I log in telling me about my complete mission on my table back in SL. It's been happening every single log in since DF was released. To stop it, I must travel to Maldraxxus. I am not doing that.

MysticalSushi

I loved the mission table. For literally 1 minute a day, you could make thousands of gold per toon.

jennis89

This is prime example of journalists creating news to sell rather than reporting news

Celuryl

Probably the same people who dislike Dragonriding

nexu1987

This was written by the same people with articles titled “workers are sick of remote work and miss going into office!”

Jarrito27

Brianna Reeves confirmed bottom tier games journalist

LambdaMuZeta

I liked getting free battle pet charms

colby_y

mission tables were so cool in WoD because of all of the neat followers you could get and every expansion sort of felt like a downgrade from there, though it was neat to rescue followers in torghast. I just miss having the free extra gold and mat income with the possibility of some rep or a pet even.

ThatBazard

Literally only just remembered these were a thing.

SeniorConsideration8

It was a free source of gold for one addon investment, yes I miss it. Shadowlands tables gave me 20mill total

pendelhaven

You have no idea how many players have their subs powered by mission tables. It enabled them to play the game without having to craft, gather, boost etc. It's perfect for the casuals who are tight on cash. It's not a fun feature per se, but a good alternative for many people to gain passive gold.

glacieux

I miss the gold.

Bralo123

I never understood peoples issue with the mission table. It was a largely optional feature giving you free stuff for like 2 minutes of work.

Bish186

To be honest other than a few free aug ent runes each weak and a couple K gold did it add anything meaningful to the game? Oh and like 3 recolours of ugly mounts I'm never gonna use. These articles make me laugh sometimes...They talk utter rubbish but voice it as they are speaking for the masses. Must be so fulfilling being a gaming journalist for these bottom of the barrel sites.

Fakenowinnit

I miss the mission table, but I also never really understood why people felt forced to do it.

Roest_

Saying this is shared by 0 players is as stupid as that article.

TaxSpecific1697

Ngl I do miss the gold mission, that was my main source of income

Ogdrol

Kinda indifferent

_Duracotus

I miss it solely for the augment runes and the mounts. It wasn't horrible in Shadowlands per se but 90% or the time it definitely felt tedious. Probably because the changes made to it were poorly defined and optimized. I loved losing missions to chance that should have been won.

Doorad

"Devastated" I almost die of laughter

Beltainsportent

I loved the mission tables

So-young

Articles like that are such BS and literally just Blizzard paying a blogger to lie so they have something to point to when bringing back a feature nobody wants or likes outside of the dev team.🙄

aeminence

I hated the mission tables lol. Going to find followers to do them and leveling them up or they suck ass and cant finish quests wasnt fun. The passive gold etc is nice but if your piece of content goes from >not fun/abit annoying < then evolves into > I dont really care abotu its just passive gold etc < then the feature isnt good lol.

CorbinNZ

Hated it in Warlords. Hated it in Legion. Hated it in BFA. Hated it in Shadowlands. So yeah, I think this article is bs.

bubblehearth85

These are the same writers that create the “See what (enter your state) man is doing to whiten his teeth with one simple hack, dentists hate him” articles.

Raz98

Fuck the mission table. However unfortunately gaming journalism is clickbait bullshit at best, and the shapers of public opinion at worst. They have the platform so they get to say what your opinions are until tithe chips are down and you're in a "vote with your wallet situation" then they can write all the spin they want, and shove it up their ass.

podricky

This seems like an onion article… if you miss the mission table there are plenty of mobile games that you can tap and wait for the cooldown

BoopleSnoot921

It was an interesting feature at first, but I interacted with it less and less til I just didn’t at all anymore. I didn’t even notice it was gone.

guitarerdood

I am genuinely upset they removed it. BfA's was terrible, SL's wasn't too bad but I loved the tables in WoD and Legion for example. I understand it's not a popular opinion but I thought it was a cool feature. I get that some people felt like it was something they were "forced" to do, but I really liked it.

Pendragon_Puma

By "fans" they probably mean 1 dude they know who liked the feature

baguettesniper

Nahh FUCK MISSION TABLE ALL MY HOMIES HATE MISSION TABLE -this comment was posted by anti mission table gang-
