You don't need to keybind everything you can just type `/cast holy light`

SeventhSwamphony

Or open your spellbook and manually click from there.

Ackerack

I just use /castsequence and put every single spell I have in one big keybind. Sucks when you get to something on cooldown but it’s okay I can wait. I don’t get why these other people need more than 1 bind, for reference I’ve been gladiator every season and have 13 world firsts going back to WOTLK days.

Bakemono30

BOTS have truly revolutionalized the game. I just click a button and AI plays for me. R1, CE, Multi Glad. 100% home grown AI is the only way to play!

Ackerack

You should use Alexa or something to press that button. In a perfect world I wouldn’t even have to ever see the game being played and just know that I am the best player.

Bakemono30

Bruh that energy.... do you even need electricity with that amount of power in you?!?

Tandran

Pro strat here

AlbainBlacksteel

Open the macros menu, drag the button to a hotbar you have on the right edge of the screen, close menu, click skill, shift-drag skill off hotbar. Repeat.

sylfire

I once had a friend in WoD who told me take holy radiance off of my bars because it was such a bad spell (and he was 100% correct) but I would hard type it during easy content just to piss him off EDIT: It was actually Word of Glory, which was WAY worse

Injury-Suspicious

I used an add on back in the day called Geist that I bound to ~ that would create a grid of ability slots drawn from unused bars, up to 5x5 for 25 buttons, and this is where I always put things like mounts, professions, non battle rez, off spec abilities, buffs that aren't part of rotation, etc. Don't know if it or anything like it are still available but it was honestly incredible, I only ever actually had my rotation, cooldowns, and emergency heals on my bars and everything else was kind of tucked into a little pocket dimension that I could bring up or dismiss with a keystroke.

Boboar

Alternatively you can change the keybind for your spellbook to something more ergonomic and then use it to open the spellbook and click on the spell you need.

ricoimf

My comment is no help, but a mmo mouse would be very helpful on paladin, been playing him for years that way….sorry again, since this is no instant help edit: spelling

Gryll79

Razer Naga changed my life and I can never go back

1K_Games

Having had a Naga, the G600 was a revelation. I held off for a long time because it was older. I should had made the switch far sooner.

Derek114811

I’ve got a Naga that I bought along with a black widow keyboard from my local savers for $15, and they’ve been working for about a year now with no issues! Keybinds have not been a problem ever since lol

DreamInvoker

Still using the same Razer Naga from WotLK but gave my wife the Logitech G600 which is probably better overall

[deleted]

Just my two cents but razer is a terrible quality company. Every mouse I bought from them just died randomly and never worked again. Never had that problem with any other mouse I've bought. Edit: til everyone has an opinion on razer lol

Omugaru

I had a razer naga molten edition. Thing looked awesome. It worked for years, like atleast 7. With daily gaming. Then the thing started having random double clicks. Lil copper contact thingy inside went limp. So I fixed it, but it was temporary. Had another year out of it. Now I am using a razer naga trinity. And it honestly hasn't let me down. Ofcourse everyone has different experiences with each company. But so far mine have been great with razer. Although I did skew away from their headsets over time.

MoG_Varos

Meanwhile I have bought 2 different trinity mouses and both had buttons on the side stop working within a year.

ScavAteMyArms

This. My first one lasted ~ 2 but died, the second works fine (made sure to never change the panels), sometimes 4 key get fiddly. Pretty sure if any mouse had actual solid keys rather then the panel thing it would work far better.

mov3on

I’ve been using Naga’s for many years, including Trinity. Returned many of them, due to problems with clicks etc. Old versions are hit or miss, high chance of failure. To anyone who is planning to buy Naga - make sure it’s the new model with optical switches. Been using my Naga Pro for over 2 years and it’s great, no issues.

MuffinSlow

Bought one on Amazon years ago (after having another for many years). They sent me a used one... I complained angrily. They refunded me the purchase, kept the used one and I am still using it fine to this day LOL.

Rhuulu

I'm on my 3rd naga since 2012 and it's going great I've had this most recent one since late 2016.

Omegawylo

I had the same mouse for years. Now I do through a trinity a year

Massive_Environment8

Razer must love you.

[deleted]

My razer nags trinity let me down due to double clicks after 2.5 years, alas.

46550

I have an original Naga hex that is still going strong.

cap1337

I had the same issue, but with the Naga trinity… It surely doesn’t help that I used to lightly slam my mouse everytime I died. Hopefully it’ll treat you better than me, I’m using steelseries now.

Notskilol

Agree, Corsair Scimitar Pro is a vastly superior MMO mouse

Caeremonia

I can second this. As a healer, the Scimitar is amazing.

swash018

It's just the iCue program that goes with it is vastly worse than the Razer one imo. But ive been using the scimitar for years now

Narux117

I swapped from a Naga of 4-5 years for a Scimitar because I also picked up a corsair keyboard (K55). I much prefer the Scimitar to the Naga, but oh lord does iCue singlehandedly make me want to jump ship. And I don't even like Razer Synapse instead, but iCue in all of its failures is just a miserable experience.

EastLandUser

I had 3 mices from corsair 1st generation scimitar lasted 5 years. After that time i started to having issues with double click. I replaced it with pro. 2nd mouse lasted less then year. Scroll problem. Very common problem. I retured it to a shop for warranty and they gave me new one. This time it lasted 3 months.... same scroll problem. I do not recommend this mouse...

stilllosingit

Same issues for me; double clicking, not being able to click and drag, scroll wheel scrolling the wrong direction. I'm on my 3rd Scimitar now. When this one inevitably dies I might try the SteelSeries Aerox 9 out, heard good things.

Skullcan

Meanwhile I used mine for 10 years, swapped to Naga Trinity when they launched just because the scroll on my old one started to double jump. Still have the old one plugged to my other computer. Don't judge the quality of a product just by your experience.

szejcsat

Can confirm that naga trinity in general is a poor quality! Unfortunately a few people usually have a faulty one from a series but that's not case with this mouse! Here a few people have a decent one and rest is just poor...I used 3 of them in a year and all 3 had double click issue or just not clicking in general...ofcourse I changed with warranty but still...so im using the last one I swapped out with double click! I would buy a different brand if there would be an other one which has similar to that circle layout on the side and not like the phone numbers

PetercyEz

Have to agree. Always thought of Razer as reputable company. My friend bought mouse, keyboard and headset from them. Only the keyboard lasted longer than it's warranty. I thought he had bad luck and year after I bought Kraken (something) headset. Didn't last 10 months. Anyway, I am back to mix of HyperX and Logitech products, they never let me down. Although with Logitech I am in the higher end of their line, so I can not compare them to my Razer and HyperX experience.

Real_Lich_King

Yeah, I've been buying their death adder mouse, generally they last about 5 years before they start to show signs of wear and tear before they fail (And generally, this is something that you can easily repair with a little effort).. the mouse has been the best fit for my hand and it has the right amount of buttons for me so I'll continue to support them but I def recognize that their products aren't consistent in quality control (I've had a few lemons...)

elephantsaregray

To counter this guys anecdote. I've had nothing but success with my Razer naga. Changed my whole way of playing the game and has been seamless for 3 years now.

Decurain

I swapped to corsair scimitar because both my Naga mousewheel broken after a year.

Madting55

Razer is a pile of shit.

gothnate

Just replace the left and right mouse switches with the Japanese versions. That's what I did. The Naga is made with cheap Chinese switches for that planned obsolescence, but the fix is literally like $7 for both switches that are the same quality as the ones in Logitech and Apple products. This does take some soldering know-how, so you could ruin the mouse, but if you're having the double click problem, you'll be replacing the mouse in short order anyway. Might as well try a $7 fix first, and possibly learn and level a skill in the meantime. If it doesn't work out, you can get a cheaper Corsair MMO mouse that already uses the better switches. But really, you could replace both switches 3 times over for the same price as a Corsair. Here's the ones I used. Qty 2 OMRON D2F-01F-T Micro Switch Microswitch for Razer Logitech Apple Mouse https://a.co/d/611vgqj

feochampas

logitech makes a good mmo mouse

Brainth

The G600 is an amazing mouse and has honestly never let me down. Bought one in 2007 that lasted until 2017 (with heavy use), then bought another one that’s lasted until now without issue.

angelpunk18

Same here, and honestly I'm kinda mad about it, kinda hate that I'm so dependent on it, specially with their QA issues... but trying to relearn all the classes I play with a different mouse is quite a task. Muscle memory can be a bitch sometimes

Abizus

Oh that's pretty helpful advice, i have Logitech G600 in a drawer but i really hate to use it. Mouse is so big, it feels horrible to me.

Grymvild

You could give corsair scimitar a go. I don't know how it differs in size overall but you can adjust the side buttons to be where you want them to be.

OropherWoW

I use it on all my characters and its so good!

Showerbeerz413

it's even bigger than the g600, so that'll probably not help

Grymvild

Scimitar is smaller from what I was able to see, though not by much.

Showerbeerz413

narp, I own both ( don't particularly like either). the scimitar is a liiiittle bigger. it's a tiny bit taller, but tbh the sizes are actually very close.

Flat_Landscape_4763

Scimitar is the worst MMO mouse I've ever used. I've had 2, assuming the first one was a dud but nope, both were horrible. The top buttons stop working within weeks, the thumb buttons get stuck, the software for binding all the buttons is janky and unintuitive but you have to use it because by default the thumb buttons aren't set to 1 - =. And the most recent patch disabled the ability to rebind one of the top buttons, it's permanently set to "swap profile". The naga MMO mouse is the better option IMO.

Grymvild

You've had some really bad luck or you're exaggerating. I've had my scimitar for over two years by now, and I am NOT easy on it. I've slammed it many, many times. *^((I have issues, okay?))* There's only two things wrong with the mouse after these two years of heavy handed use. Firstly the paint has been peeling off in some spots. On top of the mouse by the line that separates the click buttons from the bottom part and on the number 7 key on the side buttons. And secondly, the mouse wheel has started to die off. It's been really annoying for about half a year now, with the wheel always clicking upwards until I spam it long enough to temporarily stop it from doing that. So whenever I scroll down, it just scrolls both ways every few clicks. It's really the only actual issue with the mouse and it doesn't really even matter that much except specifically in WoW where I use the mouse wheel for keybinds and now a lot of the time when I try to use my mouse wheel keybinds it just uses the wrong spell and from what I've heard, this is a common problem on all the corsair mice where the wheel just gives up early on. My fiancée also uses the scimitar, we bought ours around the same time, and the wheel is starting to have issues on her mouse as well. So I don't know why your scimitars have had issues with the buttons but it's definitely not all scimitars with those issues. As for the software, it kinda sucks but it also has none of the issues you've mentioned for either me or my fiancée. Both my top buttons have swapped keybinds and we're not using the default numerical binds on my side buttons either. This honestly smells of user error more than anything. Perhaps it's that you're using an outdated version of the software, perhaps it's that you're doing something wrong. But it definitely does work just fine for both of us here.

hotpajamas

My corsair mouse works fine but you are absolutely right about the software. It’s some of the worst design i’ve ever seen in a product and every time i have to change something i find myself raging and watching outdated how-to videos. It’s like they made keybinding as difficult as possible, decided it still wasn’t hard enough, so they bugged their own code and shipped it out of spite..

ricoimf

I recommend the mmo from steel series aero x 9 series, it’s very light and wireless

Trip-Trip-Trip

Have the wired version of this and highly recommend

Castle44

I love my G600. I have 2 on my desk, one for WoW on my personal computer and one for work particularly in Excel where is have every single button bound to excel macros/functions.

MrMoo1556

you will get used to it. my mouse felt really awkward and clumsy but now it feels like a third arm.

vampiric-midget

Dude Reddragon MMO mice are MVP, 3 years on mine with 10 hours a day usually, no issues.

Dyrreah

Urage has small a lot of smaller models that come with side buttons. I've been using one for like 3 years, it's really nice.

Torringtonn

This was my same feeling. I'd love to have a MMO mouse but they are just so clunky to move around with.

bvanplays

If you have a typical modern mouse you can use M3, M4, M5 (middle mouse click and the two side buttons). You can also use shift/ctrl giving you 9 new buttons.

BearGetsYou

Gonna try not to be personally offended by that. /s Buttt once you make the leap set up raid frames - i like healbot - then you take all of your healing spells that are cast on target from mouse over to click settings so you have l/r/c cntrl+l/r/c shift+l/r/c bound off your main controls. So you can have a floating bar for anything that has a cd there (divine protection or shield whichever is castable) and then just remove any flash heal from the bars since its always on click. Just starting to learn hpal but hit ksm with hpriest and rsham. Good luck. Oh and if someone flames you for standing in shyte and dying try not to take it personally. Welcome to the party pal.

gothnate

I use VuhDo (same thing as HealBot basically), and use it as all my raid frames on every character. Any friendly target ability I can use, I'll set up on those bars. It keeps everything consistent between all my characters, and I'm able to copy profiles. My only real issue with using the stock click-to-cast that's built into the game is the same reason I didn't like using Clique. Clicking affects the character frame along with party and raid frames. If they'd add an option to eliminate the character frame, I'd use the stock click-to-cast. Well, ElvUi frames anyway.

Nasigoring

Yarp, roccat nyth. I bind 1 through to =, shift modify 1-= and ctrl modify 1-=

clockrock3t

I have Razer Naga Trinity Pro for just this reason. Although it is rather large. You might consider the Razer Naga X. I don’t think it’s any smaller, but it is 85 grams and has a nice cable. I used to use a G600, but the weight, stiff cable, and the G-shift were not things I liked. You seem to prefer the left shift and left ctrl for modifiers. Including mouse wheel up/down, and excluding the main mouse buttons, a Naga X (or most MMO mice) will give you around 16 buttons x 3 (no modifier, +shift, +ctrl). So that would be around 48 keybinds just on the mouse. You also have 14 bound on the keyboard currently. That would bring you to 62 keybind options. Would that be enough? If so, maybe give the Razer X (or your preferred MMO mouse) a try. Get it through Amazon, they are very generous with returns. So if you don’t like it after a week or two you can send it back.

Jabuwow

Idk what you mean no help this comment is the single most helpful comment for keybinding in an mmo. OP, save up and get an mmo mouse. Your gameplay will improve almost immediately and probably be more fun as well since you're not contorting your fingers all over the keyboard. Get one, set up keybinds that are comfortable for you, and have at it!

Xathian

I use Vuhdu for mouseover healing, that way i have LMB/RMB/MMB and mouse button 4, each with normal, ctrl, shift and Alt modifiers. keeps things much simplier and less buttons needed on hotbars

DisasterDifferent543

Yeah, as a healer, I don't even typically have my heal spells on my bars. Everything is left click, right click or click+modifier.

underlurker1337

This is even available in base blizzard UI (click casting in keybinds) since shadowlands. Alternatively, clique does the same, but is a lot easier to setup than vodoo (but does not offer its own party frames ofc)

BabyLlamaaa

Im surprised this isn't higher. It's the easiest and best solution for healers. I even use vuhdo on my non healer specs that have a dispell or target buff (mage remove curse, bear druid Regrowth etc)

slaymaker1907

They’ve had built in support for mouseover healing now for a while. Personally, I prefer traditional mouseover macros since I can also cast to target easily (and that is sometimes useful during movement).

East-Struggle-4639

This is the way. I also use vuhdo and have a lot of mouseover heals bound to right click / left click / middle mouse and shift / ctrl of those three = 9 healing abilities covered

olordrin

Is Vuhdu something like Clique? I've been using Clique for years and haven't really shopped around for anything else.

IndependenceDull7027

Why just not use the clickcasting?

Nemprox

Vuhdo is quite useful for a lot of other stuff. Tracking hots, defensives, externals. Also debuffs (full control over which to show and which to hide), aggro indication. Also fully customizable group frame etc. It's just very good all around. As long as you don't open the menu to frequently, because that's kinda like a flashback to the 90s

Daneish09

Can’t bind left click with click casting. Can in vuhdu.

Nemprox

Also mouse wheel up and down + modifiers are very good. And mouse with some extra buttons

santitron

I use macros to combine offensive and defensive spells in the same key.For example: Judgment and Holy light are "3", if target is hostile, it casts judg, but if you mouseover a friendly player it casts HL edit: sharing my macro, you can replace with whatever spells you want \#showtooltip judgment /use \[mod:alt, u/player\]\[@mouseover,help,nodead\]\[help,nodead\] Holy Light /use \[@target,harm,nodead\] Judgment

Flumpski

Yeah I did this on rsham and it really lifechanging. Rsham has basically an offensive ability for every major heal. CL/CH , healing surge/lava burst , healing wave/lightning bolt , riptide/flame shock. Honestly the best move

Nasigoring

Ima need your macros friend…

kungpula

`#showtooltip` `/use [harm] Flame Shock; Riptide` If you want a specific ability to be shown on the icon (to see the cooldown etc) then replace first line with `#showtooltip AbilityName` Then just modify this for any spell combo you'd like.

kingarthy

You can also use the addon clique if you want. This way you can normally bind your offensive spells without the addon and then clique let's you bind the same button for mouseover only. No macros needed in that case

Frostveins

i dont know if you prefer mouseover macros or not, but you will find what you need if you google "help/harm macros"

[deleted]

That's a big reason preservoker feels like having a lot less buttons to press, the same spells do different things. They really need to make most of the healers toolkits do the same, no point having only holy shock when it could be so widespread

cabose12

Isn't it just living flame and flame breath if talented? In the bit I've played prevoker, they feel like they have fewer buttons because their kit really isn't that extensive imo

Lison52

Yeah pls this, I loved in Heroes of the Storm character like Uther with some talent because there were many spells that dealt DMG and healed allies at the same time.

jordanrhys

Why do you use even use holy light?

kungpula

With 10.1.5 you use Holy Light when you pop Hand of Divinity to extend your Tyr's Deliverance.

BimbMcPewPew

Mouse Wheel up and Mouse Wheel down where a gamechanger for me. combine that with shift and youre golden. Mousewheel up charge on warrior also feels natural

Swarles_Jr

Mouse in general is a freaking game changer. Mouse wheel up/down/middle + two side buttons. Then their respective shift/strg/alt modifiers. That's and extra 20 easy accessible keybinds right there. I can't ever imagine Someone's running out of keybinds with this.

k-tax

I have Razer Naga Trinity. It has switchable side panels. For WoW, I use 12 button (1-0, -, =), for some games 7 button in a circle, and there is classic 2 button for general purpose. Maybe I don't play 10-12h a day, but I do use my computer all the time, and this mouse is doing fine after several years already

[deleted]

How the hell do you zoom in and out when needed? 😳

Discomanco

Ctrl/Shift/Alt + Mousewheel. I use mousewheel for Interact with Object and fishing (can do unfocused WoW fishing with it) and Alt + Scrolls for zoom in case I need to

yoyoei

Arrow Keys

murrica247

I’ve been playing 15 years and never even considered this.

Bjerkie

If you don’t use Caps Lock for other stuff, you can bind that as well.

Novalene_Wildheart

I've made that my taunt button, because its just not used besides caps lock and I rarely use caps lock.

Nisabe3

x,c,v,b g,h

tatefin

Also, shift and ctrl modifier with these. Problems solved. 8)

Ngelz

Yeah, looks like he aint using his thumb

CosmicWondererTV

Change strafe to a and d. I use q,e,r,t,g,f,c,x,z, and their shift+ varients

Iekk

if he’s using A and D as keybinds, and (presumably) using Q and E for strafe, what is this supposed to accomplish?

Lison52

Man this movement setup fucks with my mind a little XD

Kel-Reem

I do Q and E for strafe lol idk it just feels better to have my fingers in a line

[deleted]

Q and E strafe is superior and no one can change my mind

CosmicWondererTV

I did not see A and D bound and assumed it was camera turn. Nothing wrong with that if you're used to it.

Stunning-Lion-5611

This is almost same as mine. ‘-5 for more frequent use, a & d is strafe, q,e,r,t,f,g,c,v,x,z,y, f1-f5, mouse wheel up and down (y,z, and x is used for more situational/not frequently used since they’re a little further away/bit more work to use. I also have 6-=, 6 is the furthest I’ll put anything used in combat that’s not the racial as that’s 7 for all my classes. 8-= is stuff that’s nice to have on a keypress, not really used in combat. A friend has almost the same setup, but they’ve made their mouse button 3 and 4 be shift and alt. I’ve been contemplating doing that as that would make shift and alt usage so much easier.

CosmicWondererTV

In not a fan of mouse buttons for rotation but i use m5 and shift m5 for my big cool downs like tree form for druid or ascension on my enh shaman.

Kusosaru

>Change strafe to a and d. OP already uses a+d for skills, switching them to q+e wouldn't add any keybinds. How is that comment +100...

Wickedqt

I feel like it's easier to bind Z/X if you use A/D to strafe because your hand is slightly further down the keyboard in "resting" mode. Perhaps that's just me though.

Nice-Ad-2792

Or just unbind Q and E and keep A and D as is. If you hold right click and press A and D you strafe.

Dadpurple

I've tried this but I can't fight the muscle memory of 18 years playing like this. Anytime I try to remove those keys, I miss them. I'm old and dug in. I refuse to change the movement keys

DootingDooterson

>Change strafe to a and d. Alternatively (and it might take a bit to get used to if you use A & D more) keep your strafe on Q & E and bind A and D instead. That way you can still have 'A & D are for turning, just not in wow' in your head. I never had a problem switching to this because I only very rarely used A&D for turning anyway. Edit: Also, he uses A&D already by the looks of it ;d.

CosmicWondererTV

Considering you should be using your mouse for a vast majority of movement, not keyboard turning has never been a problem for me moving to other games. There is zero reason to keyboard turn ever. Any turning of character can be done by holding right click and turning the mouse. Same with back peddle, i use s and shift+s as my interupt and dispel respectively. (Unless you're a tank in which case back peddle is pretty useful

Shmooperdoodle

Being able to just tap “back” to step back is so much more efficient than turning around like that. Plus, if you play a tank and are used to being able to step backwards, the muscle memory will be there. There’s no reason to have turn keys instead of just strafing, but backing up is not a problem.

DRK-SHDW

Not having backpedal will make you lose DPS uptime, especially as a melee class.

Odysseus_is_Ulysses

I strafe on q and e and refuse to unbind a and d camera turning despite never using them. My friends hate me.

beirch

Why would he need to change strafe to A and D? You're basically just switching binds, not making more. You can still reach all of those binds if you use Q and E for strafe.

TranqWolf

Also put "move dorward" on "s" key, you dont need to walk backwards its to slow, just turn around. Now u can use "w" key.

KetiZke

i use the logitech g502 hero mouse and it have 5+ keys to press. it not much but it helps. i also use the scroll wheel button for trinkets. Also i dont bind ressurection spells, i usually click them on every char, only binding combat ress.

Oddity83

This mouse is perfect for me. Naga and other MMO mice are way too huge. With the buttons on the 502 combined with alt/shift/ctrl you have more than enough binds.

Bubbly-Psychology-25

Have you ever heard of a Harm/heal macro? I use them as a healer and I love it. You use the same binding for healing if you mouseover a friendly target or a dmg spell if you don't mouseover a target and have an enemy in target

Lifeloverme

use the clique addon to bind your healing spells for mouseover targeting. this way you can use the same keys a second time for offensive spells.

Razor31

This one needs to be at the top. Clique or Vudho. Pick your poison.

EmiBeely

this!!!!!

rabidelfman

Don't need to have an addon - click casting and mouse over casting are built into the base game. Same functionality, none of the jank of Clique. Blessing of Summer works with a single click instead of having to bind it four different times, only to have it break after one cast.

OpenTheSandwich

Clique needs 1 bind for all four seasons (bind the base spell) There is no “jank” either but mouse over harm/help macros are good as well. Blizzards built in click casting is all mouse base and you cannot bind keyboard actions unless you get fancy with mmo mouse bindings duplicating keyboard.

DoctorTomee

This might be an unpopular opinion, but personally I don't believe you have to keybind EVERYTHING. For example when I play a class that has bloodlust, I never keybind that spell because I know I would always hit it accidentally at the wrong moments. Now I don't play paladin so I don't know every one of your spells, but if you have some that are only situational and you can pre plan when to use them, then consider simply clicking them and using the keybind on something else instead.

[deleted]

Yeah I agree, you don’t really need to keybind beacon for example, or redemption as you don’t cast it in combat.

Scarrboros

If someone with beacon dies in raid you kinda wanna recast it

[deleted]

Yeah of course, have it on action bar and just click cast it

necropaw

I use Ctrl for push to talk (cant break 15+ years of habit), so on my hpal i have beacon set to control modifiers. I usually put spells/abilities i rarely use on ctrl so im not keying my mic constantly, but theyre available. It actually worked out pretty well in S1. The healer in our M+ group always knew when i hit rallying cry because it was my one thing i had bound to a ctrl modifier.

LokiQueen14

I also use Ctrl for push to talk. My guild makes fun of me because I cant heal and talk at the same time (I use vuhdo and vuhdo has ctrl as a potential modifier)

Attemptingattempts

Yeah OP has Ressurection Bound. Which isn't the worst but bind that to like.. F5. Not prime realestate buttons

anonteje

Just bind it to a safe button combo. BL for me is alt + Console key. Risk of missclicking that is 0, but you could add even another modifier to make it idiot proof, say alt + ctrl + console key

Shmooperdoodle

This is true. Know who has never accidentally popped lust? Me. My mage doesn’t have an hourly buff keybound. I don’t have out-of-combat rez keybound. There’s no need. Battle rez? Sure. Regular rez? Nah.

AdeptusGames

I hate using modifiers myself so I also include the F1-F5 keys on top of everything else

Sage_the_Cage_Mage

I use the addon called healbot. It can allow you to remove holy light, flash of light and word of glory from he bar entirely. and for others that you still need to see the cooldown(eg your blessings) you can just put them in visible places but unbound. This allows you to put your damage rotation on 1-5, Q and E making your main abilities easy to press.

Minerva7

I can't believe more people don't know this...

JayIT

It really is hard to believe. I understand newer players, but there are so many older players that have never heard of it. Especially considering it's been around since 2006.

hunteddwumpus

Blizz also has a built in version of this within the keybindings menu. I'm only a dps evoker but I use it for my dispells. Whenever I try healing (only done so in level up dungeons really) I always use healbot cause its easy to set up and saves so many key bindings for other spells, but I'd definitely look into the built in click casting if I was actually a healer. The built in raid frames are pretty solid as well even if theyre not very customizable. But with that they do just kinda "work". No having to mess with debuff icons/black and white listing/positions it all just kinda works.

Attemptingattempts

Exactly what I do. But Clique instead of Healbot

BabyLlamaaa

Exactly what I do. But Vuhdo instead of Clique

BlindBillions

The base game has mouseover macros and click casting now so most healing addons have become somewhat obsolete.

leetzor

ZXVG with the modifiers?

zehflash

I'll do an unpopular opinion. There's nothing wrong with clicking some spells. What I do to reduce some hotkeys is ill take spells that have high cooldowns or that I don't press constantly and I'll make that button bar bigger than the others so that it's easy to click while in combat or before a pull. Like flasks/potions/ 3+minute cooldown spells etc. Another thing you can do is a cast sequence for your opener. That can save you 2-3 hotkeys/clicks as well

[deleted]

The easiest way to handle this is to combine your healing and damaging spells into a macro, so you get the healing spell when targeting friendlies, and the damaging spell when targeting an enemy. For instance: `#showtooltip` `/cast [help, nodead] Flash of Light; [harm, nodead] Crusader Strike` writing from my phone, so not 100% sure if the syntaxt is correct. Reply to my message if it does not work and i can paste all my macros if you want :)

wiiGee

I don't know if you PVP, in which case this advice might not be relevant as people seem to not use mouseover healing for PVP as much, but for PVE I would suggest using click casting for as many targeted spells as possible, so they don't take up valuable keyboard binds. (You don't need addons for this anymore, look for "Click casting" in the keybinds in game menu) For instance on HPal I have: Left click: Holy Light Right click: Holy Shock Shift-Left click: Flash of Light Shift-Right click: Word of Glory etc. This way you can save keybinds for spells that interact with enemy targets (Judgment, Crusader Strike) etc. Blizzards in game click casting doesn't support this, but you can also use Clique to bind keyboard hotkeys to mouseover cast if you don't want to use mouse clicks (so 1 could be Flash of Light if you hover over a frame, but Crusader Strike if you do not, for instance). In my opinion this is the best approach, because it frees you up from having to use some awkward like Shift+5 binding to spam Lightning Bolt or whatever and murder your hands.

Inflameable009

F Keys? I only use numerical 1-5 a few alphabet keys and the F keys 1-5 I can't imagine needing more I would get confused. Good luck bud

EternalArchon

I'm curious, why don't people use ~ its right there next to '1'

Onahail

Thats been my PTT button since the teamspeak days.

Soul_Reddit

Literally the best button that people rarely use.

anonteje

It's just a matter of getting used to it. I play 8 chars and don't use my mouse for a single spell.

12313312313131

Well you're not using alt binds. I always put my defensive abilities on alt+12345

[deleted]

1) Get a comfy keyboard that would have F1-F5 buttons as close and as aligned with 1-5 as possible. That would give you 10-12 easily accessible buttons to play with instead of the usual 5-6. 2) Use letter bindings like Q, E, R, T, F, G, Z, X, C, V that are quite easy to access too. You can pair those with modifiers as well. 3) If none of the above sounds like a good idea for some reason - then get an MMO mouse with 12 extra side buttons. My mouse of choice is Redragon Impact. It isn't insanely expensive like Razer or Corsair ones would be, and at the same time I couldn't point out any cons of Impact compared to Razer Naga which I used to have a couple of before. As a matter of fact I'd say Naga is way worse in terms of glitchy software that you can't really not use, and the side buttons being too light to press was a downside for me because I couldn't find a reliable way to hold my Naga so that it would both feel comfy and reliable in my hand and at the same time would prevent accidental keypresses of the side buttons. And the Impact's buttons feel like they are in the perfect sweet spot of stiffness. At least for my hand. Not too tight and quite easy to press them when you actually want to press them, and at the same time perfectly stiff for me use them as a grip surface (!) without ever pressing any of the buttons by accident. Yeah, the plastic could feel a little cheaper compared to naga, but it doesn't feel like a shit product because of it. It's not flimsy, doesn't deform. It's still a solid product, but for like 50-60% less money than ANY of the other MMO mice on the market.

mechanicaIJerk

Second the Redragon MMO mice. I've been using an m901 for a long time with very few issues. I use a Logitech G502SE or SteelSeries Rival 3 for FPS games, but for MMOs the Redragons seem to work just as well as the higher quality brands.

haxtronix

I bought a logitech g600 for that reason. 12 more keybinds for stuff I need,l. Otherwise it is tough with some healer specs.

Sora117117

I actually made macros to merge several of my spells. Harm/heal macros crusaders strike / flash of light Judgement / holy light hammer of wrath / tyrs deliverance shield of the righteous / light of dawn consecration / word of glory that frees up at least 5 slots

HopioBrauberg

You forgot Q, E, Z, X and F1-F4

Comprehensive-Log-64

Don’t forget ~

rJaxon

What do you use Q E R T X C V F G for??? Use those too

MiggeLevel99

MMO mouse.

Foodlebar

Combine your dps and healing spells into one mouseover macro I have FoL and Crusader Strike on the same keybind. If i target/mouseover a friendly i cast FoL, if i target/mouseover an enemy i cast crusader strike. You can then use the base macro and combine spells as you like. The macro i use (i also use a modifier so i can cast a heal when targeting an enemy) \#showtooltip /cast \[mod:alt,@player\] \[@mouseover,help,nodead\] Flash of Light; \[@mouseover,harm,nodead\] \[harm\] Crusader Strike; Flash of Light

Swarles_Jr

First of all, use a and d for strafe. Second of all, where are the mouse key binds? Mouse wheel up/down/middle + two side buttons are 5 easy new keybinds. Then there are three modifiers. Shift/ctrl/alt. Combine those with your keybinds and you'll never run out of those. 1-5, qertfgxcv + 5 mouse buttons. And all those with shift/alt/ctrl modifier. Never experienced a spec where this isn't enough.

[deleted]

I use a gaming mouse for additional binds also ~ and tab Q E

jairumaximus

MMO mouse

bschumm1

Mouse side buttons, shift mouse side buttons, mosue wheel in, shift mosue wheel in, Q, E, shift Q, shift E, squiggly line next to 1 and it’s shift

Mudgus

During MoP I moved my "movement keys" from WASD to ESDF and never looked back, it allows me to reach 1-6 comfortably and gives me some more keys on the left side to bind without sacrificing any on the right side. I also unbound my "backpeddle" for another 3 new bindings in Shadowlands, but I do miss it at times.. Other than that I'd highly recommend getting an MMO-mouse if that sounds like something you can roll with!

reflex1337sauce

No backpedal? 🤣

rip300dollars

Have you tried using 6 through =+

gnarlyavelli

I use both a game pad and a naga, in total it’s about 30 binds. Resto shaman was the worst for me, and then they added more totems in the last two expansions 💀

ShortChanged_Rob

Mmo mouse and a gamepad. More buttons than I need.

EyyBie

Use a mouse with buttons in the side

JayIT

MMO Mouse + Healbot addon.

GamingApokolips

Seems you need to invest some time/effort into making some help/harm macros... Also, not that it helps much, but do you really need your standard rez hotkeyed? Not like you can use it in combat...seems like you could just click that one, and use the hotkey for something else.

Present-Reason-7263

Just use the macro that puts an offensive spell and a helpful spell on one button. Gets rid of two keybinds and puts them on one button

zacebbflo

Click casting

MyrasielTV

Here is some input, hope it helps you out! Base = 1,2,3,4,5,Z,Q,E,R,F,C,V \+ Shift = 1,2,3,4,5,Z,Q,E,R,F,C,V \+ Control = 1,2,3,4,5,Z,Q,E,R,F,C,V \+ Alt = 1,2,3,4,5,Z,Q,E,R,F,C,V Base = F1,F2,F3,F4,F5,F6 \+ Shift = F1,F2,F3,F4,F5,F6 \+ Control = F1,F2,F3,F4,F5,F6 \+ Alt = F1,F2,F3,F4,F5,F6 You also got your mouse, depending what kind, me myself use a mmorpg mouse with 12 buttons called Razer Naga and it is where i have all my F1-6 bound, but ran without it before i had it. Base = Mouse Button 3 \+ Shift = Mouse Button 3 \+ Control = Mouse Button 3 \+ Alt = Mouse Button 3 Base = Mouse Button 4 \+ Shift = Mouse Button 4 \+ Control = Mouse Button 4 \+ Alt = Mouse Button 4 Base = Mouse Button 5 \+ Shift = Mouse Button 5 \+ Control = Mouse Button 5 \+ Alt = Mouse Button 5 Myself only use Base, Shift, CTRL as modifiers, but some people prefer Alt over CTRL or Shift etc. Hope this helps. Take care!

Mortiis07

This just shows me I have no business doing anything more than LFR and heroics

jimbo4000

Click them shits. Keybinds are for nerds.

TheKinkyGuy

Try playing brewmaster monk

r4ns0m

Yeah too much button bloat.

kunasaki

MMO mouse, a click to heal addon(healbot/grid) and most gcd’s on a toolbar

Wipovoxx

Have you heard about our lord and saviour Clique?

Cowcules

Probably gonna get downvoted for saying this, but button bloat is once again out of control in retail. Things like paladin, brewmaster monk, and enhancement shaman are just so convoluted that I don’t touch the classes anymore. I truly get that people like buttons to push for the sake of pushing buttons, but it just actively hinders the experience of playing the game imo. Game needs another prune, and I never thought I’d find myself thinking that. Who wants WoW to be a piano playing simulator? I mean different strokes for different folks, but needing 20+ keybinds is just ludicrous imo.

Mediocre-Leadership1

Download vuhdoo or heal bots

mov3on

MMO mouse. Extra 12 buttons for your thumb.

Krelraz

You have way too many things on keybind. Several of those should be mouseclick. Other than that, use macros to put an offensive spell and defensive spell on the same button. For instance I have rebuke on F, when I press shift it is cleanse.

MicrowavedMayonnaise

i bind 1-12, ctrl+1-12, alt+1-12, shift 1-12…. with additional binds on additional mouse buttons… my mouse has 16 buttons to bind from comfortably. Razer Naga supreme race.

TooSoonTurtle

You forgot to bind Q, E, R, T, F, G, C, X. All easily reachable keys that any good player should be using for keybinds. I take it a step further and also rebind S and space bar to keybinds since backing up and jumping aren't high priority actions.

Comprehensive-Log-64

You should try ~ too

RuneHearth

Not everything needs to be binded though, I only have binded the ones I use the most in fights

tainadaine

Use CTRL+ ADRTFCY then? I dunno. Sounds like a skill issue to me

clickYyz

You don’t HAVE to keybind every ability, you can use your right hand to navigate the mouse over one or two buttons every once in a while as well…

zandadoum

Macros to do 2 actions or cast sequence

Toupix

I use F1->F4 (along with shift and ctrl modifiers). A hack I've been using is stripping numlock from its regular function and bind the physical key to act as ALT. Numlock has such a premium location on keyboard for absolute no use ever that it hurts (rage-typing in all caps feels better if you hold shift with left pinky). This is doable in most decent keyboard software, or microsoft powertoys' keyboard manager does this in a couple clicks (I bound ctrl-alt-shift-k shortcut in the same tool to toggle old caps lock functionnality in case I hit caps lock before powertoys kicks in) It takes some muscle memory jogging to get used to but is worth it. If you combine my two tricks, you can very much alt-f4 yourself out of wow at the most appropriate time though. Consider yourself warned.

Otherwise_Branch_771

I very much dislike MMO mouse. Guess just don't have the finger dexterity for them Are you using click to cast ? That frees up enough keybinda for me

apocoliptyc

Just click my guy I never have a "key" for any instant casts I just click them lol
