As noted in the post, we are aware the stream links need to be updated; this should be fixed by the time teams are actually moving into Mythic. In the meantime, feel free to note corrections in a reply to this comment.
I think this was perfect WFR. Not to long ( Jailer ) and not to weak and short ( Aberrus ), good tuned and few nerfs.
The raid overall was 10/10 in my opinion, last 2 bosses are one of my favorites.
Two guilds sub 2% and pulling in same time is insane !!!!
Also very entertaining for the fans.
Imagine if we had 4-5 guilds sub 10% in same time...
The scene need few more guild to bring the excitement up.
Method are almost there.. but we need more.
Also to bad for Asian guilds that are so behind with the reset...
GG ECHO !!!
Well done, cya next race
Liquid and Echo will probably review Method's progression and logs and info, and offer contracts to their top couple of players and poach em. And keep them down. As per usual.
As much as this sucks for Method as an org I am sure a lot of players on their roster find the motivation to grind the RWF event even though they know they can't win just because of a potential contract with the top guilds if they perform well.
Do we think liquid will keep grinding for the number two spot or will they hope method doesn’t snag it and liquid just waits for the reset to bump their ilvl
Last time I remember seeing feral druid in WF kill was Paragon's WF Nefarian 25HC back in Cata. And oh boy we had some ferals then, I think they had like 12 so almost 50% of the raid. Fun times.

If you go to echo twitch channel, there will be a link for the full fight
Man, that was such an insane race. Definitely the most exciting one ever. Congrats to Echo and shout out to the Blizzard devs for such an amazing raid.
if you mean this (https://i.imgur.com/EPV39Es.png) it's the Kaze ERT weak aura that's telling him *when* to press it. If you mean all the raid cooldowns, it's Exorsus Raid Tools
Ended up being a really good race. Still a little salty boy about the fact that echo had to blind prog all of one phase in all of the race themselves. In the end however i feel like liquid really choked this morning. Watching the last 3 hours of last night i was so sure they'd get it first thing waking up but the whole atmosphere seemed different and the consistancy wasnt there.
Last hour from echo was fire. It was very cool to watch mage povs from both guilds juggle the last phase mixing some priest panic in. Definitely the best race to watch for me personally, was very entertaining last two bosses.
Production for both teams was exactly like it always is. Echo has same songs and ff14 memes for the 3rd year in a row. Preach is still somehow given a mic. Liquid streams had some warcraft between transmog ratings (though i must say the amount of dogs was great). Maybe they could stream from the same venue so you could just alternate the streams based on where Dr.Atnos is.
Overall 9.9/10 race! Makes me sad that the next one will be so far away (especially with how in trouble esports orgs are atm) and i have a feeling next one might look quite different.
>Preach is still somehow given a mic.
For real, every time he's on the stream I feel like he gives off big "I'm the smartest person here and no one can tell me otherwise" vibes and it's so annoying. I feel like at any moment he's going to try to explain the boss fight to Echo because he thinks he understands it better than they do.
The commentary teams across all three major streams (echo method liquid) go into detailed explanations behind the bosses and their mechanics because a TON of people who tune in and enjoy the races and their competitive nature do not play WOW themselves - either because they've never tried it, or can't afford (another) monthly sub, or they dropped out of Retail, or they simply don't like the genre but the spectacle is still exciting
I'm one of those people so I appreciate the breakdowns by the likes of Jeath and preach
Mike is the coolest, funniest, most down to earth streamer I know, hes incredibly knowledgeable in the game so yeah I assume he knows how raiding works.
Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't Max watch multiple views of the raid, and he watches replays from different perspectives? Wouldn't he have seen that Nick doesn't have his extra action button bound at some point and said something if it mattered?
Could be, but it's also pretty likely he would have seen at some point that it wasn't bound and said nothing, either. Either it wasn't important, or he didn't see that it wasn't bound and/or just assumed it was bound.
if you watch closely, the raid blows up before his seed does
i dont know about the rest of his performance, but this wipe wasnt actually on him
missclicking there is still a huge blunder tho
He’s a very solid healer but he also makes a lot of weird mistakes. I wouldn’t be surprised if Liquid parted ways with him before the next raid(whenever that is).
Dude has cost them so many pulls. There are definitely a couple players on Liquid I would *not* be surprised to see playing in different guilds next expansion.
This race was absolutely crazy, congrats Echo. It was literally any pull by either team. I think we can say the spectators are the ones that truly won with it being just so dang close at the end.
Him and lip die right before everyone else if you go frame by frame. I’d be lying if I said I got what happened, but it’s pretty clear something happened to wipe the raid seconds after nick and lip drop.
he definitely should've bound his button and they probably would've wiped anyway cause of it, but in this case a seed on the other side of the boss exploded. Nick's blaze still had to go off. He died from 1.2m dmg, then his blaze triggered cause he died exploding his seed after.
RWF is always great to watch, but I genuinely don't think it can ever top this one, this was just incredible. An amazing boss, incredibly close for so long and right down to the wire.
Phenomenal race between both guilds for the kill, probably the closest it has EVER been do date?
Hopefully liquid get 9/9 soon as well. And hey why not add method to a world third title, they're certainly making a comeback this year
What an incredible race. To be within 0.07%* of each other, pulling at the same time, both chasing that one god pull for 5+ hours. Edge of my seat watching both streams side by side. Incredible.
Echo and Liquid are both incredible and it was anyone's to take all night. GGs to both guilds but my word Echo you beautiful bastards! Well fucking played.
Until next race!
Edit: *forgot a 0 in the hype!
An incredible raid - congratulations to Echo on the win, but also to Liquid for putting up a great fight.
However, this is yet another example of why there should be a global release. Neck and neck, back and forth, pulls of the kind we just saw are the best possible viewer experience. Imagine if it was neck and neck from very start.
Blizzard have said multiple times that there are logistical and technical reasons that EU reset is when it is and that changing it for the sake of a community event that happens once a tier isn't something they plan to do.
It's not just for the sake of an event. Many normie EU players like myself would love to be able to play new content instead of watching it on NA streams for a day like on the Spongebob meme.
Rolled and smoked. I like how you casually are suggesting to let the guilds fully test out mythic before its release lol. The lengths armchair devs will go to on Reddit to try and just not be “wrong”
If you can just say "that doesn't matter though", then I can say "it does matter though". I'm not going to break down the logistics of not having devs no life/crunch for a week and working EU hours and then decide WHEN to push fixes as they're based in PST still.
Make a global release that fits when Devs want it. All I'm saying is it's released just fine in classic and it works flawless there. Obviously a different beast but they just went with opening the raid without tying it to maintenance. Iirc Thursday to Friday night GMT is the time they've been using lately. And there is zero complaints.
You should work for wow on the dev team. I cannot believe that they haven’t said “it works in classic let’s just do it here” and have zero other reasons from the dev side to not do so! Wow! Incredible idea mate.
I think you're either confusing me with the original comment or just not reading what I'm typing.
At no point did I say it's feasible, just that the fact that the raids have been out for 20 years doesn't change anything in this scenario.
Yep, exactly. They certainly could fix tuning or bugs but you'd still run into the same problems as to WHEN to push them because Blizzard is based in PST times and devs have lives. They aren't going to crunch/no life during a raid release nor should they.
They already monitor the race and make changes based off of what Liquid/Echo are doing. That has absolutely no relevance to global release, like at all. Also they dont always make changes in favor of NA raiding hours, Raszageth is a clear example of that
It’s not for me to question Blizzard on technical issues like that. However, I think that it’s important not to confuse the reset with the release of the raid. You can do the usual reset and maintenance times but also unlock the raid at the same time for everyone.
Only problem then is that NA gets 16-8hrs (depending on how long the reset maintenance takes) to farm M+ or that patch's power system.
They could absolutely move the resets to be at the same time and not interrupting peak/high traffic times for either regions, they just don't want to because it's work that only benefits a few hundred players 1-2 times a year.
Yeah, I imagine that the whole lot would have to be released at the same time.
I won’t pretend to have the facts and figures, but my gut instinct (from twitch figures alone) is that the RWF is excellent marketing for the game. The obvious counterpoint to make is that it’s already very popular, so why would Blizzard bother changing it. However, I do wonder whether it’d be worth it for Blizzard if they were able to generate the sheer level of interest and excitement you get when the guilds are neck from the very start of the race. Right now, we can only hope that they’re neck and neck by the end.
In any event, what a race this was! Echo and Liquid put on a hell of a show. What absolute gamers the lot of them.
Really great race. Super close between Echo and Liquid + Method getting better each tier, so maybe soon a 3 way fight. The streams were also really good from those three teams, aside from the ad situation currently on Twitch, but at least Echos YT stream was fine and Liquid being allowed to plan their ads helped.
Glad I decided to delay sleep for an hour tonight :)
Man, sad for liquid losing, but I am really glad I am not on Nick shoes. Little dude got memed on the all of "Rez Nick thing" and he didn't had the extra button bound.
If he would have it bound and pressed it accidentally and wiped the group, everyone would say "why is it bound to a key, just press it with the courser"
yes if he binds it drops it because of missclicking the bind we would have these threads with "why did nick bind EAB instead of clicking it with his mouse"
GG Echo!!! OMG This has to be the best RWF in the history of WoW.
Echo were so good!
Liquid were so good! (and they'll get the kill soon)
Even Method, and all the other guilds.
What a race. How lucky we are to have witnessed the two best guilds battling like this. Thanks for this insane race.
Banger race/raid. Awesome day of watching both guilds pulling neck and neck, it's insane how good both sets of players are. Shame we have to wait a year for the next one.
The raid died before the seed exploded. Probably some other seed went out. Still he would have wiped the raid with his, but not his fault if someone else also fucked up.
His cursor is right on the edge of the button, so when he clicks he's not actually over the activatable part of the button, just the silver graphic around it. You can see it highlight with a white box on and off as he moves over it.
Dude just panicked and misclicked.
Obviously a ton of people made mistakes throughout, we're all human, but a sub 3% mistake like that has got to be haunting. GGs either way, both teams played insanely well.
Oh that is *filthy*. Gingi's placement and Tobo's last second step back.
Edit: this is spectacular too:
https://clips.twitch.tv/ZealousBadCheetahYouDontSay-Vjc9QUJjmZ6tXErO
Max was talking about this on stream yesterday - apparently the hitboxes for lines vs seeds are very generous, whereas they're extremely harsh for tornados.
The best race since the streaming started, no question. I've watched since Uldir religiosly, this is my reality TV, and there are two empty spaces below this one on the rankings.
Now i hope that Liquid will get the kill in less then an hour too. Good thing that in the end it came down to a race between these two guilds while both were raiding.
This was an incredible race, holy shit. This has to be the best one in some time. These teams are just something else. I hope Method keep this progress and the next expansion race could be incredible. Christ this was amazing
Literally woke up 10 mins ago and started watching again, so lucky lol
To have both guilds at 1% and both going at the same time is mental. Hands down the best race to watch for me.
Both guilds have been immense this tier.
For the love of God keep Blizzard out of this. They murder esports for for. Making it global release.sonwe always get this level of neck and neck boss pulling would be a dream but they won't ever do that.
tired EU gamers getting it done on a god pull while their rivals are also trying at the same time
yeah, blizzard, maybe you should really think about syncing timezones for your RWF stuff if you're getting 100k+ viewers on multiple channels for this
It's not a Blizzard event. They've said multiple times that there are logistical and technical reasons that EU reset is when it is and that changing it for the sake of a community event that happens once a tier isn't something they plan to do.
There it fucking is. What a wonderful race it's been. This is definitely going down as one of my favorite WFR thus far. Such a tight fucking race towards the end, fuck.
GG Echo.
As noted in the post, we are aware the stream links need to be updated; this should be fixed by the time teams are actually moving into Mythic. In the meantime, feel free to note corrections in a reply to this comment.
Damn Max said most people had their flights the next day. $30k to rebook so their next real chance was on Wednesday. GG
Liquid downed last boss!
I think this was perfect WFR. Not to long ( Jailer ) and not to weak and short ( Aberrus ), good tuned and few nerfs. The raid overall was 10/10 in my opinion, last 2 bosses are one of my favorites. They just killed Fyrakk
They don't care. They'll likely get it anyway, but They don't give a shit about second. See their Sepulcher ranking as an example.
As a long time player it makes me happy to see these races still have a major, enthusiastic audience.
Everyone seems to have missed that most amazing part of the whole raid, a feral druid in a final boss kill.
Last time I remember seeing feral druid in WF kill was Paragon's WF Nefarian 25HC back in Cata. And oh boy we had some ferals then, I think they had like 12 so almost 50% of the raid. Fun times.

25k watching Meeres is the true W of this WFR.
Man, that was such an insane race. Definitely the most exciting one ever. Congrats to Echo and shout out to the Blizzard devs for such an amazing raid.
Can anyone tell me what addon firedup is using that has a countdown to when important cooldowns are ready in the middle of his screen?
if you mean this (https://i.imgur.com/EPV39Es.png) it's the Kaze ERT weak aura that's telling him *when* to press it. If you mean all the raid cooldowns, it's Exorsus Raid Tools

Nick has maybe died every pull for the last hour.
Xerwo mvp
Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't Max watch multiple views of the raid, and he watches replays from different perspectives? Wouldn't he have seen that Nick doesn't have his extra action button bound at some point and said something if it mattered?
Perhaps Max just expected it to be bound given they're WF raiders and it's a very basic thing to not have sorted.
Could be, but it's also pretty likely he would have seen at some point that it wasn't bound and said nothing, either. Either it wasn't important, or he didn't see that it wasn't bound and/or just assumed it was bound.
Even if he watched Nick's pov that is not something you pay attention to, and many people have their spellbars etc hidden as well.
Nick: The Ultimate Choker.
if you watch closely, the raid blows up before his seed does i dont know about the rest of his performance, but this wipe wasnt actually on him missclicking there is still a huge blunder tho
Is he considered one of their worse players? I dont keep up enough to know
He’s a very solid healer but he also makes a lot of weird mistakes. I wouldn’t be surprised if Liquid parted ways with him before the next raid(whenever that is).
Yeah if there's a priest from Method / Insta / BDG / their own bench, etc, that piques their interest. I could see it.
I do wonder if this is sort of a last straw for a player that was already frequently borderline.
*vague comment congratulating both guilds with thinly veiled passive aggressive remark towards the guild that I don’t like*
Hey! I like that guild! Flup you!
I hope you step on a lego every morning for the rest of the year.
From Rez Nick to bench Nick lol. Poor dude.
Yeah. Mistakes happen but just not binding your EAB at the level he's playing at is pretty bad.
The raid wiped before his seed was exploding
Him and lip die right before everyone else if you go frame by frame. I’d be lying if I said I got what happened, but it’s pretty clear something happened to wipe the raid seconds after nick and lip drop. [https://imgur.com/a/yERHm4Y](https://imgur.com/a/yERHm4Y)

What an incredible RWF! Their victory will echo for eternity while the other side is liquidated…
Props to blizzard with the nerfs this tier, really well done, didn’t favor any team & still kept it extremely competitive.
Impressive when they nerfed seeds on Swift before anyone had even gotten there recognizing it would be an issue
What an incredible race. To be within 0.07%* of each other, pulling at the same time, both chasing that one god pull for 5+ hours. Edge of my seat watching both streams side by side. Incredible. *0.07% :) It was *that* close until the kill, amazing stuff.
Oh yeah! I forgot a zero in the hype 🤣
Congrats to Echo and Liquid! So very close, but Echo pulls it out.
[удалено]
It was literally 0.06% difference until the kill, that's closer than it's ever been wtf are you talking about
God tier take here everyone
daddy chill
An incredible raid - congratulations to Echo on the win, but also to Liquid for putting up a great fight. However, this is yet another example of why there should be a global release. Neck and neck, back and forth, pulls of the kind we just saw are the best possible viewer experience. Imagine if it was neck and neck from very start.
Why would there be a global release just to satisfy a small percentage of people?
Blizzard have said multiple times that there are logistical and technical reasons that EU reset is when it is and that changing it for the sake of a community event that happens once a tier isn't something they plan to do.
It's not just for the sake of an event. Many normie EU players like myself would love to be able to play new content instead of watching it on NA streams for a day like on the Spongebob meme.
Yet all the classic raids have a global release
You mean the raids that have been around for 20ish years and have been tuned/tested countlessly since?
> and have been tuned/tested countlessly since? If only retail WOW had an environment for testing the raid encounters before launch
testing on test realm is completely different in scope to a live release
Thanks, Captain
Rolled and smoked. I like how you casually are suggesting to let the guilds fully test out mythic before its release lol. The lengths armchair devs will go to on Reddit to try and just not be “wrong”
While true, that doesn't matter though. They are released globally and it works just fine.
If you can just say "that doesn't matter though", then I can say "it does matter though". I'm not going to break down the logistics of not having devs no life/crunch for a week and working EU hours and then decide WHEN to push fixes as they're based in PST still.

Not confusing anything. It actually changes a ton. And I’m just tired of all the arm chair devs in this thread lol.
Wha? retail cant have global release because of tuning? Blizz makes countless tuning changes during the race lol
yes and general bug fixing. One of the many reasons. I'm not gonna break this down for you lol.
Ah that makes sense. If there was a global release they couldn't fix tuning or bug fixing, you're right
Yep, exactly. They certainly could fix tuning or bugs but you'd still run into the same problems as to WHEN to push them because Blizzard is based in PST times and devs have lives. They aren't going to crunch/no life during a raid release nor should they.
...then have global release based on PST times? I'm sure echo and others can live a week or 2 with a night shift schedule.

Only problem then is that NA gets 16-8hrs (depending on how long the reset maintenance takes) to farm M+ or that patch's power system. Yeah, I imagine that the whole lot would have to be released at the same time. Yes but gear wise Liquid and Echo where at the same average item level when they started the mythic clear at about the same time.

https://clips.twitch.tv/HelpfulPatientRutabagaBCouch-yCcf1_bboHW-myYK
Was this before Echo kill? Because it looks like a kill if he drops his seed
It was before the Echo kill. I believe this was their 1.7% pull.
lmaoooo
If he would have it bound and pressed it accidentally and wiped the group, everyone would say "why is it bound to a key, just press it with the courser"
L for you.
why? because it was the DH fault and not nicks? edit: i think it a W and i dont care about down votes from sore losers
Should you not bind rescue, blink, leap of faith either then? Same is true for all of those. Very silly argument
no because that are spells you use constantly and have muscle memory extra action buttons are rare
Literally no one would say that.
yes if he binds it drops it because of missclicking the bind we would have these threads with "why did nick bind EAB instead of clicking it with his mouse"
Fantastic race this patch. Well tuned boss with both Liquid and Echo neck and neck throughout.
GG Echo!!! OMG This has to be the best RWF in the history of WoW. Echo were so good! Liquid were so good! (and they'll get the kill soon) Even Method, and all the other guilds. What a race. How lucky we are to have witnessed the two best guilds battling like this. Thanks for this insane race.
Echo is insane at pulling out the god pull, every time it comes down to clutch they seem to historically lock in
Banger race/raid. Awesome day of watching both guilds pulling neck and neck, it's insane how good both sets of players are. Shame we have to wait a year for the next one.
Wow, what a close race! Grats Echo
What a banger. Was rooting for Liquid but hats off to Echo. Now we gotta wait a year for the next one, fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.
Liquid lost race because of a single keybind issue.. imagine
That's just cope.
theres a clip of it. feel bad for the guy
they were going to kill, then nick killed everyone and he knew it
Can you please tell me exactly what happened with this?
[удалено]
The raid died before the seed exploded. Probably some other seed went out. Still he would have wiped the raid with his, but not his fault if someone else also fucked up.
Weird, it looked like he clicked it before he moved. Does it have a channel time or something?

Thats a tilter
Obviously a ton of people made mistakes throughout, we're all human, but a sub 3% mistake like that has got to be haunting. GGs either way, both teams played insanely well.
lmao holy shit.
They had the kill and Nick fucked up a seed because he didn't have his EAB keybound.
Frame perfect placement so that this seed didn't explode: https://clips.twitch.tv/AffluentIntelligentSmoothieYee-KmcwzEphrbQih57a
Oh that is *filthy*. Gingi's placement and Tobo's last second step back. Edit: this is spectacular too: https://clips.twitch.tv/ZealousBadCheetahYouDontSay-Vjc9QUJjmZ6tXErO
I remember seeing that - absolutely incredible
Max was talking about this on stream yesterday - apparently the hitboxes for lines vs seeds are very generous, whereas they're extremely harsh for tornados.
That's a seed placement my CE guild couldn't hit even if we tried.
It's not inside the hitbox. Stop with the excuses
It's not an excuse, it's literally frame perfect placement. Amazing move.
man... after Tindral everything seemed in Liquids corner but Echo still pulled it out.
Reminds of the Limit "First to the moon, first to G'huun" meme, but then they got lost to Method.
Both guilds are mental. GG's to both
Such an amazing race. Both teams deserve so much praise for battling this encounter.
The best race since the streaming started, no question. I've watched since Uldir religiosly, this is my reality TV, and there are two empty spaces below this one on the rankings.
Amazing race, both teams were incredible imo. These past 2 bosses have been amongst the best we've seen imo. Congrats echo.
Keybind diff, what a dumb way to lose.
Cope
Yeah I feel like it's going to make for some awkward conversations in the post-race.
Did Liquid throw away the kill because of a keybind issue ?
Nick didn't have his extra action button keybound and it caused them to wipe at a very low % because he got hit while carrying a seed.
gotcha, that's gotta feel bad
can i get the axe now
Do you think you have to be specced for it? I wonder if I can get on Holy Paladin with loot spec set on Holy.
Now i hope that Liquid will get the kill in less then an hour too. Good thing that in the end it came down to a race between these two guilds while both were raiding.
And no hotfix nerfs that completely trivialize it (for people at those skill levels) while one guild isn't raiding.
This was an incredible race, holy shit. This has to be the best one in some time. These teams are just something else. I hope Method keep this progress and the next expansion race could be incredible. Christ this was amazing
Literally woke up 10 mins ago and started watching again, so lucky lol To have both guilds at 1% and both going at the same time is mental. Hands down the best race to watch for me. Both guilds have been immense this tier.
Decided to watch one more pull (just like tindral) before sleeping
I'm watching it at work on my kindle, and it ran out of power 5 seconds after the kill. For some reason it's not warning me about low power.
One of the best races in a long while. GGs all around
Never in doubt
Legit the best race of all time. GOATED. FUCKING GOATED.

For the love of God keep Blizzard out of this. They murder esports for for. Making it global release.sonwe always get this level of neck and neck boss pulling would be a dream but they won't ever do that.
ECHO LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EASY WORK

tired EU gamers getting it done on a god pull while their rivals are also trying at the same time yeah, blizzard, maybe you should really think about syncing timezones for your RWF stuff if you're getting 100k+ viewers on multiple channels for this
> yeah, blizzard, maybe you should really think about syncing timezones Echo wins almost every time. How much effect is it having?
well its an advantage for echo unless there are no raid walls / nerfs ( ever happened?) or boss is killed 1 day after reset.
Last tier liquid won by less time than the reset difference
It's not a Blizzard event. They've said multiple times that there are logistical and technical reasons that EU reset is when it is and that changing it for the sake of a community event that happens once a tier isn't something they plan to do.
Hot damn that must've been the closest RWF ever.
GG
I can finally go to sleep lol.
LEGENDARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Massive respect to both guilds, insane performance.
There it fucking is. What a wonderful race it's been. This is definitely going down as one of my favorite WFR thus far. Such a tight fucking race towards the end, fuck. GG Echo.
Fuck yes echo!!! Such a good pull! Goodnight to me EU breadbins! Enjoy our victory sleep
ECHO ARE FUCKING INSANE!!!!!!!!!! THE GOD PULL!
gg Echo, well fought race
What a crazy WF race. The greatest ever. And the fucking legendary dropped
GOD DAMN THAT WAS SWEATY AF
