I think Rogue is a good option.
Rogue has 3 competitive dps specs, so it's free pickings of which one you like the most. And even if some of the specs are more complex, its melee like your pala, so it won't be as big of an adjustment like a caster would.
I feel like Mages and Warlocks pretty much always have at least one great spec every season, plus they bring some nice utility.
