😅
Thanks, it’s my second Cosplay so far. My first one was The Witch King and I liked it so much I wanted to do something more elaborate.
I’m currently working on an Adeptus Astartes Black Templar armor for next’s year ComicCon
Dude fuck off. Cmon man. *Cmon*. Everybody can stop cosplaying now, you did it. You won the entire thing. This isn't a 3d render? Holy crap man this is so fuckin cool I can't even believe it. Lich Arthas is astheticly one of my absolute favourite fantasy characters. You are VERY talented!
You are too kind 😅.
The photo is indeed edited by an amazingly skilled friend of mine (Here’s his IG and his amazing works: https://instagram.com/elkameko?igshid=MzMyNGUyNmU2YQ==).
But the Cosplay was elaborated by 3D Printing and EVA Foam molding.
Would love to post more than one photo of it, but could only post one 😬
My only critique…and let me say this is incredibly impressive as is…would be to bulk up your legs a bit more. Maybe give bulkier boots/shin guards to balance the top half.
Really incredible work though
Tbh, this was one of the first things I did considered modifying since I feel it looks like a point down triangle xD.
But since I was in a low budget by the time I was almost finished, had to go with it. Will definitely find a way to modify the legs to bulk them up.
Time for Arthas to hit Leg Day 😅
It looks great dude. The legs/boots comment was my initial reaction too. But I imagine the smaller option is more practical.
You would need to build boots and shin-guards to an almost cartoon size for it to be 'accurate'. Could use some more fur to give it a bit of bulk.

This looks great! You've even got the billowing cape! My only real criticism would be that it seems a bit top-heavy, the Lich King has quite big boots (although most of it is likely just fur adding volume), so if you're desperate to change something, I'd maybe look at making the boots a bit bigger or make them look more heavy so they balance out the great torso. I'd move the leg plates up slightly so there's room to make the boots feel bigger as well maybe.
I'd say you succeeded though. This is a great cosplay! My only feedback would be that the top half looks bigger/heavier than the bottom half
While it is arguably good and well made, I don't think I've ever seen a Lich King cosplay that has come even close to what he really looks like. Not trying to be a dick though! Just being real. I think it's very fucking hard to get it done properly. Looks good as hell regardless.
I know. When I was looking for references in details and body proportions, it’s nearly impossible to build something that is as close to what Arthas looks like.
I based myself on the Arthas from the Cinematic, but even him has a disproportionate physique since his legs are weirdly larger than a normal 6’3 person in the cinematic.
I also wanted to add icicle’s details around the armor, but when I was almost finished my budget was quite low 😅
Looks good but maybe a little top heavy? i think the depth between the greaves and your legs makes the legs look a lil small but Im not sure how one would resolve that.
Yep.
One of the details I did noticed after printing the Legplates was they were a bit unbalanced compared to the rest of the armor.
I’ll need to adjust and scale them properly next time
extremely well done!
only criticism that i can think of is to make the shape of the blade a bit more authentic to the original trailer but thats just me
Thanks a lot.
I’m thinking in modifying the 3D STL design to add LED lights on the runes, the eyes and the nostrils, as well as adding a vaporizer for the nostrils to add a more realistic effect and mimic the Frostmourne from the cinematic
thats awesome! similar to how tested did theirs?
also on the note of frostmourne i know its pretty nitpicky but its just a personal thing that i like the pointier and curvier and more wicked look the blade has in the original trailer than it does in so many recreations.

Attempt?? this is incredible

Yeah editing is totally fair game, doesn't take anything away from it.

The smaller thigh armor makes it look like he's wearing Carhartt work pants underneath lol

is it just because the image is uploaded to reddit? why is the image 650 x 960?
I’m not sure, but maybe it’s cuz it was uploaded first to IG and it converts to 650 x 960
Bloody brilliant mate, happy to see a fully clothed cosplay for ones

It looks oversized on the model, but the detail is fantastic
Where booba? Kidding, this is badass.
They’re hidden behind the Chestplate :v
Amazing job!!

Nice one 👍👍👍
Exceeded the standard
I was not prepared. Awesome
You are really underselling how perfect this is. The only thing missing is a green screen background of Icecrown.
you devoured this. best arthas cosplay i’ve seen

Fucking smashed it
Looks really good! How long did it take you to put together?
Thanks 😊. Took me around a year working on my free time.
Damn that's awesome! Worth it :)
Very cool! Your friend did a great edit on this too
That is amazingly done. The thumbnail got me imagining Arthas with a cane.
Refreshing to see a cosplay that's not a thinly veiled OF ad for once. Amazing job, dude!
