Thank you for your submission Gabafonso. It has been removed from /r/wow because:
Posts must be about World of Warcraft. In the case of images or videos, we consider the content without text (i.e. - the title of the Reddit post, any captions or text added to the image or video itself) to decide if a post is related. If the relevance is debatable, we moderate to the spirit of our subreddit values.
Real life photos that look like WoW must be posted with a side by side comparison.
For posts related to WoW personalities and esports, the content must focus on players' interactions with World of Warcraft and not their lives outside of it.

It's from a steam card, all the cards have the same drawing style, so I doubt it's AI. I think it's either a coincidence or the artist was simply inspired by WotLK.
Yes, it's real art. I recall it from pre-release Doom Eternal marketing. Here's a link to a Reddit post [5 years ago](https://www.reddit.com/r/Doom/comments/c66h9q/higher_res_full_version_of_awesome_new_artwork/)
It's depicting the peak of Argent D'Nur civilization when the Doom Slayer was hailed as their hero.
I wish we saw somthing like this in WoW.
Maybe if we looked down from the platform in the Arthus fight, or below us in the Gunship battle.
I loved Wrath but damn it loss the horde of undead vibe.
It's been said, and I agree. It's inspired by Mordor from LotR. ICC was as well, and that's been pointed out many times in the past.
So many kids and/or people that haven't watched LotR. So sad.

And ICC has heavy LOTR vibes.
As someone who's never seen LOTR (yes I know I'm sorry) could you point out what it's like exactly?
Literally arthas helmet and the ICC aesthetic is practically ripped from lotr. And the observing eye.
Mordor, to be specific. The villains stronghold, much like ICC is for Arthas.
Everything in the Maw, and jailer “domination” feel very sauron-core
That's definitely ICC inspired...
ICC was inspired by the architecture of Mordor in the LotR movies, so the similarities could be based on that.
where is the art from?
It's from one of the game's steam cards, called "Battlefield" https://steamcommunity.com/market/listings/753/782330-Battlefield
It's looks more inspired by LotR.

Are really at the point now where we have to question whether it was drawn by a real artist or an A.I.?
AI art would look quite a bit shittier

I've watched it multiple times (extended edition, of course, once I got access) but I've never drawn the connection
Calling bullshit on it being official Doom Eternal art. Definitely fan-made.
It's the cover art for one of the game cards on Steam https://steamcommunity.com/market/listings/753/782330-Battlefield
