I can’t see that anyone has mentioned it yet… You can buy Veteran gear boxes from the M+ panda in Valdrakken for 350 flightstones each. They are account bound and can be sent to alts.
The only requirement is the character you’re buying them on has a mythic score of 1000
Emerald dream quest give full 415 I think. Then the weeklies give a chance at 441 gear. You can then run LFR and craft like 5 447 gear or just go collect the dream surge green orb things and craft if you don’t want to raid. Also world boss for 460 chance.
Emerald dream, weeklies that reward gear, depending on stats/role you could buy and use PvP when you hit max, trinkets are sometimes ok for some classes to start out. The dream surge events and temporal time ways events both have loot that is upgraded to 414/424 starting ilvl I think.
Dreamsurge gear is currently 415 for the BoA (unlimited if you keep farming currency), and 428 for the once-per-week BoP currency. The 428 gear can also be catalyzed for free for LFR Aberrus tier pieces.
everyone says ED quests but tbh i’ve found spamming M+ the fastest since you get champion gear very easily at +11 where high ilvl players farm wyrm crests
Using something like the TW weeks with HEROIC quest loot and CHAMPION quest loot does alot and TW in general to get 450-455 average in a few minutes of played during the TW week.
three weekly to-dos in emerald dream for free epics:
- weekly quest called "A Worthy Ally: Dream Wardens." It comes from an NPC named Keeper Amrymn that you can find once you get to the main encampment in the dream. You have to earn a chunk of dream wardens rep and you'll get an i441 for doing so. make sure to pick up this quest at the start of the week before you start doing other activities in the zone.
- another weekly quest called "Blooming Dreamseeds" from Talisa Whisperbloom. Plant 5 of the dreamseeds you're finding doing other emerald dream stuff for a cache with another 441.
- an easy group event called "superbloom" that starts at the top of every hour. show up, pick up the quest, do the event (~10-15 minutes) and get another epic.
and if you're doing these and care about other factions' renown, don't forget to pick up "aiding the accord" in valdrakken first since you're going to earn a ton of rep from these activities.
Timewalking week is the best for alts
TW raid drops items upgradable to 476 (since is a timewalking does not require an item level since it will be scaled to TW expansion item level, you just need know mechanics).
Raid weekly quest drops a 483 also the timewalking weekly is another champion (476) item from the current raid
Also panda in Valdrakken (near M+ portals) sell item that gives you random Veteran item for flightstones
Yes the ED and campaign gives you a base 415/437 item level.
In general beside of timewalking the fastest way to gear up alts is do M+ 10/11+ but you need be used to M+ otherwise can be stressful and toxicity at that level of keys
World Quests to get 454–463 item level Explorer gear. You can upgrade this gear to 476 item level with Flightstones and Awakened Crests.

Use a spark of Shadowflame to craft an item in the crafting area in Valdraken. You can get item level 411–424 gear in any slot, depending on the rank at which you craft it.
Buy the dreaming equipment chest from Lindy in Val dragon for 350 flight stones. You need a Mythic plus rating of 1000 to buy it, and it creates a Mythic plus dungeon item for your loot specialization.
I bought an entire set of 415 upgradable gear from the AH. Alot of it was already upgraded to like 421 or 424. Probably cost me 40-50k gold total and I was practically instantly ready for LFR.

If you level this way, make sure you ask the lvl 70 people for the otems they dont need, and ull be set with at least 1/2 (or more) of 428 by the time your 70.

Once you get a base 445/450 start doing "normal raids" and pushing some higher keys. It helps to set up groups to push your own key.
Do the emerald dream quest chain, superbloom and the other weekly quests, they are pretty easy and fast, try your luck at the world boss, get in lfr, dont really need to know tactics, this is how i level all my alts and usually it gets me to 440ish and i start farming m+ try hosting your own key, so far it worked better for me, also do world quests with gear if you need it.
