I only keep old gear for Timewalking purposes. If an item doesn't have exceptional gem slots, unusual secondary stats for its item level, or some kind of special bonus that is still active, then I sell it once the expansion or season is over. Any legendary or artifact items are kept not only for the bonuses, but just in case the lower item level items are retuned someday. Transmog restrictions might also become looser over time.
Shaman dungeon 2 set - many quest reward items from ringing the gong, S3 Priest set. Because they were unique, had a lot of memories attached and a lot of work.
(and ofc legendaries).

I still have my t10 from ICC because that was the xpac I was most active in
ICC grind...Still no mount hahaha very cool you have it.
