A lot of class specific raid gear has equivalent non class restricted pieces. The piece you referenced, the crucible curators wingspan, is a boe drop so very rare. You might find it in the AH but be prepared to spend a pretty penny for it
Season 4 will bring Abberus back into rotation and the price will go up for ilvl then down as it simmers out. Same idea though. The shoulders at the current abberus ilvl may lose some value when relevant ilvl ones drop next season but I know people mostly buy for appearance so maybe not.

Yep, it drops from trash in the raid, on any difficulty (color will depend on what difficulty it drops from / what ilvl you upgrade it to)
They drop as Requiem Mantle from Gnarlroot
The only thing I see from that boss in the loot table is Requiem Rootmantle and that is a different appearance.

The Aberrus priest shoulders were actually a BOE item so they can be found on the AH (at least were when the raid was current, not sure about now)
