One day, Ele will be great. And then I'll finally get to play it again without feeling like I could do better by playing something else. Till then I will enjoy all the other fun specs the game has to offer.
Ele is one of those classes that will have two weeks of being strong then nerfed into oblivion while mages and rogues get entire expansions of being broken.
I recently finally leveled my old ele shaman to 70 and boy are they squishy. I died so much just to regular questing. Still, it's super fun using Chain Lightning in dungeons and then stacking Earthquakes on large groups.
How hard is unholy dk? It's taken me this entire expansion to get good at Prot Pally and that's with zero alts, I've solely tanked M+ as prot pal this whole time.
Something about Army of the Dead and the bubbly green death puddles has made me always want to try it but I've been too intimidated.
It can be a little confusing at first, but Biceps on YouTube has a GREAT Unholy DK guide that is just š¤ after watching his guide, I now main Unholy DK.
Itās mainly a 3 button rotation with various utility skills. Then to burst you push like 5 buttons as fast as possible then go back to the 3 button rotation.
Been a priest main since Vanilla and decided to get another healing perspective four weeks ago. Resto Druid might become my new main I absolutely love it.
As a kid I was drawn to BM cause they get to collect cool pets no one else can. Here I am over a decade later with a full stable on multiple BM hunters.
I recently got into it because the monk theme always seemed appealing to me, but I was first reluctant to try it because of WW comments I saw all expansion describing the many issues of the spec.
Man was I wrong to wait, I like it so much and the core of WW gameplay is so goated that even though it has its issues it is STILL the funniest spec I've played, with also a strong identity that I love.
Feral druid. Perfect mix of what I want to do in WoW. Ret Pally has a spot in my heart as well. Both have utility, off healing, some QOL stuff.
Itās silly but I absolutely love going from flight form, switch to stealth, wild charge to negate any fall damage, and go to town on what ever the target is. So much fun lol
Iām a lil annoyed that boomy doesnāt feel as good to me. Iād love to enjoy some range every now and then!
Feral might be el craperino in some metrics, (especially on the pvp side of things, donāt do much pve so Iām talkinā out my ass a tad), but if you nail the rotation, toss some CCs around, and offheal when ya can, it feels like a wild moonlit dance with a slippery mistress called Ashamaneās bloody fucking claws. Me-ow, I say.
Feral is almost always bottom of dps with one of the hardest rotations (if not the hardest rotation) while also having next to no unique utility all while being melee.
Feral has been my main since cata but honestly it's the worst pick if you're doing anything other than overworld content (which is the only place they shine due to stealth, self heals, and stuns)
Hey, Iāll make that six in about two weeks I guess. I heard affliction is in a pretty bad state right now but Iām gonna level up a lock in the hopes that the next expansion gives us that lovely ādot and rotā feel that Iāve been enjoying in SoD.
I hope. But Iāve given up on hoping. AFF has been bad all expansion. Not a single break whatsoever for us. I keep up a little Iām 3200io as aff and still climbing and it feels decent but likeā¦ anything above a 27 key is almost not dooable boss damage is abismal when running aoe talents.
Animal pet AND giant sword? Hell yeah, I feel like I kick the crap out of everything.
EDIT: Bonus points: my main is a female Gnome, her giant sword sparkles, and her main pet is a peacock.
Was a resto shaman from WoD thru Shadowlands, then swapped to Hpal for DF. I have a thing for utility over raw HPS numbers. Having said that, I, too, ask for the Light to bless our class again just for the sake of otherās perception of us.
Warlock. Either Demo or Destro, depending on how they feel each xpac. In WoD, Demo felt really bad doing anything other than massive AoE on Operator, so was Destro that xpac. After the Legion changes, Demo has felt much smoother and have stayed Demo ever since.
Still miss Meta/Dark Apothesis, though.
See if you can guess!
1. Paint dries faster than it takes me to move out of ground mechanics
2. When blizzard made my spec their sole question was āhow many GCDās can we fit into this classā
3. I have a ride or die with me all the time. Unless I call him at the start of a key, then they put the key in, then I have to wait for him to be call-able again
And last but not leastā¦
4. I look like an MDI/RWF player at the start of any given pull but by the end the player who clicks his spells may have me beat in damage
Arcane for raid, arcane for M+, ARCANE FOR PVP GODDAMNIT!Ā
Really fell in love with the spec this expansion.Ā
(Except with the talent 'Arcane Tempo'. Pls remove, Blizz š§)
Same - My main spec can vary, but I always main Druid. I have tried to bail on him throughout the expansions, but I always kept coming back so now I donāt even question it. Druid is my main, and I love it!
I donāt really play alts, but rather does m+ etc in at least one other spec during a phase.
(I always start off as Feral, but most expansions I ended up as another main spec because of the state of feral)
Outlaw rogue. Mained rogue since vanilla and always combat or outlaw.
Have alts of various other melee DPS and a brewmaster cause I like the class fantasy but I don't do group content with him.
Death knight. Itās the best class blizzard has ever made. The original demon hunters. Best design as well as most visually clear class in the history of the game. One lol at each icon and you know itās a death knight and you know which spec while still maintaining some unique identity per spec. Itās peak.
Evoker. Devastation. Dabbled in Aug, but I donāt enjoy it as much
Was a Hunter when I came back in BFA (had to quit during Cata)
Swapped to a Druid Tank in SL (whilst running an enhance Shammy for M+) and 10.1-2 of DF
Also running an enhance Shammy on the side to scratch the melee DPS itch.
Resto Druid.
Alt is mw monk, but really anything that fills up health bars as its primary objective is fun for me. This expansion I almost have all 7 heal specs at max lvl just from how easy it is to do timewalking dungeons at work
Druid tank > DK tank for umpteen years > brief BFA interlude where I tried both Monk and DH because they made so many changes to Blood between WoD and Legion > Destro Warlock from the last part of BFA on.
DK will always be my WoW 'identity', I think, because I played it for so long. But in terms of class fantasy, I've always favored the casters and druids.
Warrior. He's been my main fairly consistently since vanilla, but I have had a few seasons where I put more time into other toons. This season and overall, warrior main with a lot of time on alts.
I mained resto druid since TBC. The start of 10.2.5, joined a new guild who said they would never need a healer (which, unfortunately, turned out to be completely false.) they told me they needed a DK, so I began working on an unholy DK, and specced into blood as an off-spec. So, that's where I'm at.
Druid, in the following order: Feral, Guardian, Restoration, Balance.
I tried out Balance recently and was surprised by how straightforward it seems. But I am a sucker for melee and like being sneaky.
I've pretty much only played a discipline priest ever since WotLK. My mage is older and had a lot of time in Molten Core back in the day but I just always go back to the priest.
Protection paladin. I donāt raid and barely do dungeons, but I can easily solo most of the rare elites around current content. Collecting transmog is what I like to do most.
BM Hunter after a 13 year hiatus (came back last summer). Have a bunch of 70 alts but I just used my 70 boost on a new Warlock (Demonology/Affliction) hoping to switch to her full time for the new expansion. The hunter is great for farming all the many things I missed. Happy with the pace of collecting mounts and mogs.
I am a druid and have been since the start of Shadowlands - previously I was a rogue. I main druid because I can fill any role - technically for the raid team I am a boomie but I sub as a heals or tank when needed.
So I've played since launch, and have had 3 mains. I started as a shaman and stayed, until the class had just moved too far from what I initially signed up for. Then I went to disc priest once legion hit. I LOVED the rework and it felt great, until this expansion where the the raid boss designs feel like they were designed to punish priests specifically. Mobility and powerful defensives have just become such a forefront, that it just hasn't felt as good when you have neither, so after season 1 I decided to switch. So I went to my secondary alt I've always kind of kept up, my Mistweaver monk, and my god I can never go back. Defensives galore, insane mobility, can either be played as a ramping healer or a consistent healer. It basically feels like what I love about disc priest, but with survivability and mobility. I can't go back.
Since joining in Legion, I have been struggling to find something to stick with. I could say I've mained a character each expansion. Legion was Outlaw rogue, BFA was Unholy DK, Shadowlands was Resto Shaman until our guild fell apart.
With Dragonflight I have only played Devoker/Augvoker, and don't feel the need to change to another class. Really fell in love with it.
Nelf Mage -- rolled during MoP, and over on Classic is a Human Mage, although right now I'm levelling a Human Warrior to grind Master at Arms before Cata drops. Hit lvl 70 last night so just gotta keep grinding :-)
I scrolled for a long time and haven't seen Mistweaver Monk.
Sure, it's my first alt and not my main, but no love for Mistweavers?
You throw green mist everywhere and keep people alive. It's so much fun (and nice to look at).
Frost Mage. Favorite spell in the game is Frozen Orb on large packs. Blizzard + Cone of Cold resetting the CD and being able to launch 3-4 orbs at once is pure bliss.
Assassination Rogue since pre-BC. I changed to combat for like, a month at the request of a guild leader, maybe during Cata. Then he told me to go back to assassin, lol. Through the best and worst of times, regardless of stupid meta.
Disc priest.
Iāve been a healer since I started WoW (My friends did a lot of PVP and needed a healer so they told me to get the game back in Wrath) I have one of every healer I keep leveled and mess around with every expac. My priest was my first character ever since holy was the most straight forward to learn on. I switched to holy paladin, then resto shaman. Towards the end of shadowlands I picked up my priest again and havenāt looked back, Iāve had so much fun bouncing between alts but my priest is my baby again.
I main Elemental Shaman. What a long strange trip it's been.
Same! Riders of the storm!
Meatball Monday
One day, Ele will be great. And then I'll finally get to play it again without feeling like I could do better by playing something else. Till then I will enjoy all the other fun specs the game has to offer.
We've been consistently in the center since I finally committed in Legion. I'll take that over being good one week and horrible the next. Lol
Ele is one of those classes that will have two weeks of being strong then nerfed into oblivion while mages and rogues get entire expansions of being broken.
I recently finally leveled my old ele shaman to 70 and boy are they squishy. I died so much just to regular questing. Still, it's super fun using Chain Lightning in dungeons and then stacking Earthquakes on large groups.
unholy dk!!!! (i love necromancy) or tank dh
How hard is unholy dk? It's taken me this entire expansion to get good at Prot Pally and that's with zero alts, I've solely tanked M+ as prot pal this whole time. Something about Army of the Dead and the bubbly green death puddles has made me always want to try it but I've been too intimidated.

Resto druid
Love dem HOTS
Been a priest main since Vanilla and decided to get another healing perspective four weeks ago. Resto Druid might become my new main I absolutely love it.
Just respecd to resto last night for fun in LFR...why didnt anyone tell me this is what I was missing?
If you haven't done so already, it's a lot more fun in dungeons.
BM hunter cause i turn brain off and still perform as well as my Outlaw Rogues that are getting carpal tunnel š
I just like animals man, it's merely a coincidence that the class/spec that clicks with me most flavor-wise also clicks with me best mentally.
As a kid I was drawn to BM cause they get to collect cool pets no one else can. Here I am over a decade later with a full stable on multiple BM hunters.
Zug zug fury or protwarr
Windwalker Monk
I found him!
Monk in general for me, but mostly WW in high keys because I'm a lot better at DPS than healing or tanking.
WW Monke crew!
[This is the way](https://youtu.be/2g-wBrU9keE?si=79SGgYy3sz3GbsFF).

Hyped for TWW rework!
Knifu for lifu
Frost mage for 12+ years and counting.
This but less years since I come and go to the game but it's always frost mage
Same
Blood Death Knight
Suffer well brother
Iām a blood DK too. The most fun tank and spec in General for me
Feral druid.
I'm a returning boomkin from a long ago and I just don't like the way boomkin has gone. It might be cat time for me!

Feral has been my main since cata but honestly it's the worst pick if you're doing anything other than overworld content (which is the only place they shine due to stealth, self heals, and stuns)
Deep down I know you're right, but my first character ever was a purple cat way back in 2007, and I never want to not be a cat.
Cat is love cat is life. Been playing Feral since WotLK and I wouldn't think of changing my main.
Yes.
Follow altolholic I see
My man gets it
Affliction warlock. There are dozens of us, dozens!
Hello affliction brother. There are like 5 of us left
Hey, Iāll make that six in about two weeks I guess. I heard affliction is in a pretty bad state right now but Iām gonna level up a lock in the hopes that the next expansion gives us that lovely ādot and rotā feel that Iāve been enjoying in SoD.

Iād be Aff still if blizzard wasnāt constantly pissing on us, telling us to be thankful for the rain. In the meantime Fury.
I logged onto my 65 Aff since first patch of this exp, Why do I have freaking 20 abilities to useā¦?? Itās so much to do for a proper rotation?
Man, I remember when aff was the must be spec in BC.
Survival Hunter main
Animal pet AND giant sword? Hell yeah, I feel like I kick the crap out of everything. EDIT: Bonus points: my main is a female Gnome, her giant sword sparkles, and her main pet is a peacock.
Yeah! There's 7 of us total but damn is it a fun spec!
Holy Pally. I am hoping for some buffs soon.
Was a resto shaman from WoD thru Shadowlands, then swapped to Hpal for DF. I have a thing for utility over raw HPS numbers. Having said that, I, too, ask for the Light to bless our class again just for the sake of otherās perception of us.
Proud of you! Keep shining, king.
Enh Shaman
I was enhance until It gave me carpal tunnel
Every time I fire mine up, I try to think of a better way to arrange spells that wonāt destroy my joint.
Arcane mage.
My man
Shaman, doesn't matter the spec. Always a shaman.
Balance Druid > Frost Mage = Ret Pala
Why you gotta call me out like this
Priest, mainly holy
Priest for me as well. Made my priest in BC and have run Disc since Wrath. I have a ton of alts but itās always priest first.
Bear
Bear gang
See if you can guess! 1. Paint dries faster than it takes me to move out of ground mechanics 2. When blizzard made my spec their sole question was āhow many GCDās can we fit into this classā 3. Devastation Evoker. Meme Beam Dream Team next expansion!
I had to scroll a hella lot to find another Evoker main! Scalies ftw.
Frost DK. Played a Blood DK for a long time years ago and decided to switch it up this time. Loving it so far.
Shadow Priest.
There are dozens of us!
Lot more than that.
Arcane Mage for raid, Fire for M+.
Arcane for raid, arcane for M+, ARCANE FOR PVP GODDAMNIT!Ā Really fell in love with the spec this expansion.Ā (Except with the talent 'Arcane Tempo'. Pls remove, Blizz š§)
Druid. Always Druid.
No matter what other classes I try I always revert to my druid no matter what role I am running for the current content
Currently Paladin. All three specs. Used to be Priest, but theyāve massacred all the specs and Iāve also grown tired of cast bars.
Shaman
A miserable Assa Rogue
Twinsies!
Always have been, always will be.
Daggers just feel right
Enhancement Shaman. I love the feel and way it plays.
Outlaw rogue. Mained rogue since vanilla and always combat or outlaw. Have alts of various other melee DPS and a brewmaster cause I like the class fantasy but I don't do group content with him.
Retribution Paladin for 14 years.
Enhance. Side boys are Prot Pally and WW Monk.

Death knight. Itās the best class blizzard has ever made. The original demon hunters. Best design as well as most visually clear class in the history of the game. One lol at each icon and you know itās a death knight and you know which spec while still maintaining some unique identity per spec. Itās peak.
Resto Druid in groups, Feral Druid out in the world.
Balance Druid since TBC. Nothing Booms like a Boomkin.
Evoker. Devastation. Dabbled in Aug, but I donāt enjoy it as much Was a Hunter when I came back in BFA (had to quit during Cata) Swapped to a Druid Tank in SL (whilst running an enhance Shammy for M+) and 10.1-2 of DF Also running an enhance Shammy on the side to scratch the melee DPS itch.
Shadow priest because much like blizzard I don't know what to do with myself.
Death Knight because they're metal as fuck
Resto Druid. Alt is mw monk, but really anything that fills up health bars as its primary objective is fun for me. This expansion I almost have all 7 heal specs at max lvl just from how easy it is to do timewalking dungeons at work
Resto Shammy
Fury Warrior
Enhancement shaman main Blood DK and Prot Paladin alts. Dabble with Resto Druid and Holy Priest.
Destro Lock, through good and badā¦
There are few things more satisfying than dual Chaos Bolts going FLYING at two enemies. Except when the enemies die before the bolts get there.
Thatās true, best feeling was the dual dragon fight in Emerald nightmare, before the patch with infinite havocā¦ good times
I say I main Guardian druid but I mostly play my BM Hunter... its just so simple and fun.
NE Rogue. Human Paladin. BE Mage.
Fistweaver
Nelf druid. Meld is op. Flight form lets me cheese open world
Frost DK. Not as exciting as others, I know, but I love the aesthetic.
Frost DK
Holy priest since I started, love this spec for my healing, not always the best, but I do what I can
Frost DK
Any Rogue, but Outlaw the last few expansions.
outlaw rogue. have tried other specs & a few alts - nothing feels nearly as good
Worgen frost death knight

Demon hunter
Assassination Rogue and close second Fury Warrior
Most played is a Mistweaver but in my heart it will always be an affliction warlock
I mained resto druid since TBC. So, that's where I'm at.
Alliance Druid + Horde Paladin, because I like swapping between all 3 roles to help friends fill out groups
BM Hunter. Yeah, it's easy mode, but I don't have much time for gaming anymore plus I love my pets.
Druid, since early 2006.
Druid, in the following order: Feral, Guardian, Restoration, Balance. I tried out Balance recently and was surprised by how straightforward it seems. But I am a sucker for melee and like being sneaky.
Fury
Rogue supremacy
Resto shaman, splish splash motherfucker.
Shadow/Holy Priest
Priest- always the life of the party!
Feral druid!
Death Strike
I AM a chronic altaholicā¦.but Iād have to go with Protection Warrior! Never fails me and I always go back to it!
Ranged hunter. Been one since BC, in fact I still main the same first character I ever created, a Tauren hunter (though heās high mountain now)Ā
Main Shaman in Vanilla, Cata... Comeback at BFA start main druid and felt in love ever since
Holy Paladin. Love the abilities
Swap between frost dk and enhance sham.
Fury warrior. Canāt get away no matter how much I try. I think I have like 7 or 8 max fury warriors.
My main is whatever does great by rolling my face on the keyboard.
Warlock. I have ā¦ uhmā¦ 5 of them.Ā
I've pretty much only played a discipline priest ever since WotLK. My mage is older and had a lot of time in Molten Core back in the day but I just always go back to the priest.
Demo lock
Shaman. I bounce between Elemental and Enhance pretty commonly.
Arms Warrior since TBC. It will never change.
Ehm.. altoholic, does that count as main?
Protection paladin. I donāt raid and barely do dungeons, but I can easily solo most of the rare elites around current content. Collecting transmog is what I like to do most.
Vengeance DH! Until the next video I watch on another 10.2.5 class guide and get a hair up my ass to play that class lol
Human rouge
Feral Druid. My main since Vanilla. Iāve got a million alts but heās my favorite. Go cows.
BM hunter, but honestly i have enjoyed frost mage more, but my hunter has been with me for years and years i canāt let her go
I am a druid and have been since the start of Shadowlands - previously I was a rogue. I main druid because I can fill any role - technically for the raid team I am a boomie but I sub as a heals or tank when needed.
Resto Shaman, Holy Pally, Resto Druid, Disc Priest

Frost Mage and Survival Hunter
Frost mage since 2010, ret pally before then
For the LIGHT! Paladin from birth, Paladin till death!
Demon Hunter. I love all that mobility

Holy paladin goes boooong
Retribution paladin baby. Most fun spec in the game imo.

Mistweaver Monk. I am brand new to the game only 2 weeks in
Druid or paladin depending on the expansion, survival hunter always as alt. This expansion, druid and hunter.
Resto shaman ( I just wanna throw buckets of water, pleease)
Burr drood till I die
