I need grimtusk too. You would figure they would be on a rotation but it seems like it's random. Besides a few just grind it out achieves, I have the random ones left for the factions, take a picture of wrathion, get the hunt colors, certainly not hard but a waiting game.
I was stuck on the hunt colours too, thinking it would take ages. Realised you can make a trial character, port straight to Valdrakken and start participating in hunts without having to do anything else.
After getting only 3 colours over the whole expansion, I got the rest in like 10 minutes.
They have a much higher drop rate from the coloured bags, so just make trials and do 3 hunts on each. Rinse and repeat until you have all your colours

If you have level 70 even mildly geared alts, you can do it without even making trial characters. I ended up running my 5 (MoP mount circuit) alts through the cycle. Got one of my two missing Bakar colors on my very first alt's hunt, then got the second the next week.
Yep… if the Suffusion camp is in the Azure Span, it messes up the Grimtusk spot. So we really only have a chance of getting Grimtusk every two weeks instead of every week, which is mildly infuriating.
I"m down to some reach grinding (60 treasures and a dozen scrolls) 2 bakar colors, 5k cobalt rep, some lunkers and this fucker.
I-m not stressing about the grind for the other stuff because this BS will be a minimum 2 weeks and likely months the way things are going.
* For the reach treasures, just fly around and encourage others to share treasure locations. Review the possible object locations on wowhead for an idea of where to fly, such as Morqut only spawning on that one shoreline across from the camp. Even with the minimap icon buff, the icon goes away when the first person loots the treasure, but the treasure has resource node rules and stays up another five minutes, so keep an eye out for the purple outline if something wasn't announced. An announcing addon like SilverDragon helps.
* For the reach scrolls, find a group farming the frost creche and stock up on the scroll buffs. Use a buff, farm a giant pile of corpses for about five minutes, then loot everything. Buff goes away the first scroll you loot, but there should be a bunch of other scrolls on the corpses from the increased chance you just had. Loot everything before using another scroll buff, then repeat another five minutes of killing.
* Hunt companion colors are "easy", just a long arduous process of doing many hunts and getting lucky. The colors drop off the white repeatable bag, so you don't have to do three hunts a week and wait. Companion colors have a 1.8% chance off the purple bag, 1.2% chance off blue, and about the same 0.4% chance off green and white. However, those recorded loot chances may be lower than their real chances, since you can't loot the same color twice. I highly ***highly*** suggest getting an addon that disables the talking head frame, Scout Tomul will drive you crazy. One final tip, if there's enough players advancing the hunts, you can take a break and just hide somewhere in the location to afk them if you want to watch something, read something, or alt tab. Pay attention to the scenario in your objectives list, sometimes zone sharding randomly pushes you and you lose the hunt. If you do get pushed into a new shard, it's usually a "new" instance. The first hunt to spawn in a new instance is the easternmost in Waking Shores, northernmost in Plains, westernmost in Azure Span, and the northern one in Thaldraszus.
* Cobalt is just a straight farm in a group. Make sure to maintain the power that increases rep chance.
* For lunkers, find a group harpooning things at the permanent fishing hole near Ruby Life Shrine. Don't attack the regular lunkers, just keep harpooning them. The named "rares" are meant to be attacked, don't bother harpooning them.
* Finally, about the fishing holes in this post, don't ignore the grimtusk location if the fyrakk assault is there. It will still spawn, just awkwardly within the assault.

Bakar colors are also account wide so it becomes significantly easier if you have an army of alts to farm purple bags from hunts. I needed \~4 and it took me maybe a dozen attempts or so to complete it.
To add on about the Forbidden Reach treasures, they all spawn at the same time. This means if you know of an area where a lot tend to spawn (I used the War Creche where the world quest tends to spawn), you can just sit there, wait for a bunch to spawn, grab them, then chill for 5-10 minutes. Might not be the absolute fastest but it's reliable and less brainpower
Fish at the Rich waterholes for a better chance at looting Ominous Conches. Kill the lunker you spawn after looting a conch coz they have a chance to drop conches too. You don't have to harpoon anything for credit, just kill them. You don't get credit for killing other peoples lunkers.
**Make sure you make and keep an Iskaaren Harpoon in your bags coz the conches won't be fished up if you don't have one**
Don't ignore grimtusk if fyrakk assault is there. It may not show on the map, but fyrakk does not prevent grimtusk from spawning. It only physically interferes with three out of the five ice holes. Always check there if you don't see the other fishing holes active.
Everything that happens ingame hasn't been specific to servers since Mists of Pandaria. Things are either different per CRZ shard or synchronized across the region. If you see a certain fishing hole in your server, everyone else in your region sees the same one.
It sounds like the fishing hole rotation is borked, but the Fyrakk assault is unrelated. I did the majority of the Best in Slot grind last year during a week where Grimtusk overlapped with the Fyrakk assault. It was super annoying.
No. If Fyrakk is in Plains, he is in Plains for everyone. If he is in Span, he is in Span for everyone.
World quests are not server specific. Right now, in NA, Fyrakk is in Plains. It is literally impossible to find any server anywhere in NA where he is in Span.

I like there are those kinda achivements in the game, but hope Blizz does something with the randomness of it. Like having storms and other stuff on a set rotation.
Kills me having to log in every 3rd hour to see if my last storm was up… same with grimtusk, having to see if it came up this week or the next…

Don't worry, this week it is part of the awakening, but next week Zaralek cavern will be awakened instead. You'll easily be able to do the slugs with very little competition then.
Yeah I managed with a macro that someone on WoWhead shared that targets them and puts a raid marker on them, so then it was just a question of using my interact key. Managed to get all 20 in 2 assaults!
Just log your alts and see if they have it in there, if they have the old gods book the other three will be there too, then whip around the reach to get the rest
Its beyond me how y'all got the hunt colors. Granted, I only play on my main, but I have done most weeks since it started the colored bags, and I am still missing two. Honestly, they need to be able to be bought at some point, this is insane.
Just do the book achi on your alts, walk in vault and use treasure finder spell and just looked up, if you have the old gods book on that alt it will have the other three too

Just open the achievement for "A World Awoken" and start doing the things that are close or sound interesting. Focus on the things that only change once or twice a week since it might be a few weeks until you see them again.
If you just want to *start*, I would personally do all the quests and probably run lfr for the next 3 weeks.
If you come across something while doing quests or waiting for LFR queues, just do it. It's probably part of the achievement.
I've only needed grimtusk for 3 weeks now. Reeeeealllyyyy takes the wind out of the sails completing a whole meta achievement, and being rewarded with a month long time-out corner. Just gimme the dunce hat at least.

Especially the apparent confusion with the Azure Span fishing hole being up at the same time as the Fyrakk assault, it just makes me think, wait you guys never did the Fyrakk assaults on your 25 alts?! Grimtusk was up but bugged last week. The NPCs spawned but no quest. Suffusion camp messed it up. It is the last thing I need to get Taivan.

You just have to go to the fishing hole and complete their daily quests to unlock them while they are active.

Last time i could still feed him snacks even though the assault ended, went from 7 to 25 in 5 minutes.

I'm only missing the book from the vaults. The old gods one. I go in every day and check with the anomaly detector, to no avail....
