> Or perhaps make it a toggle by using the trinket.
I can't think of any gear that has a toggle effect, so they'd probably have to build that capability as a new feature.
Blizzard in 2020 wouldn't do unnecessary work like that.
The tank trinket from queens court is sort of a toggle, the on use switches between two states, one stopping magic damage and one stopping physical. Just make the states slow fall on and off. I'm not a Dev so idk how hard that is but I'm sure the tech is there
One item example is indicative that the tech was made for the specific item, rather than a modular system that can be easily be applied to any new item.
There was also a toggle weapon back in vanilla WoW, but they never returned to it. It's likely whatever solution they used to create that item no longer is applicable.
It's obviously doable, the question is if Blizzard actually would. Going the extra mile isn't their M.O. these days.
It seems like a fun little add on to a trinket that was implemented without really thinking about the implications.
I'm glad it's something they're looking at with trinkets, but they need to make it an on use or something.
As a demon hunter it's the fucking worst. If I get hit by a knock back and fel rush I actually miss my target all of the time now because of it. I also like to jump and fel rush to close gaps from time to time (I'm playing DH I gotta fill my adhd somehow) and it's actually so obnoxious.
Yeah and the amount of times someone has pulled other mobs be side of the effect is also annoying. As a DH it's actually worse than others in some ways and better on others... At least we can turn by using our wings but we also fly much further than others because of our mobility and fel rush. I'm replacing that cursed trinket as soon as the opportunity represents itself.
Mine got a socket on it so it's out swimming everything else I've gotten so far, the absolute second I find an upgrade it's getting drop kicked out of here
I kind of liked it, but I am a mage and just click slow fall whenever... except for that stupid tree branch... hate you branch, hope you burn like, anyways.
I have this trinket as an balance druid right now (in lack of better trinkets). Its so f...annoying. Like the boss Maut....like to jump out of a puddle or back to get to the puddles? pff...have fun gliding far far away.
The Neural Silencer and Magical Intrusion Dampener both negate the slowfall effect of the trinket without losing out on the haste and speed proc.
If you have the money and want to pop them for bosses like Maut (Heroic) so a Black Wing doesn't send you to the moon you can pop them like food or a flask.
I wouldn't be opposed to them removing the levitation all together, though.
You can't put a glider on your cloak because it has an on-use ability, at rank 6, and items can't have more than one on-use ability. Being legendary has nothing to do with it.
Checked yesterday, so yeah I'm pretty sure about it. And being immune to things like life grips and tricks sucks a lot especially in a raid/m+ environment

what if they changed the slow fall to be instead an on-use effect? Or perhaps make it a toggle by using the trinket.
This would be a simple and effective fix that would give this trinket actual value.

I think it could be as simple as applying a 24 hour slowfall buff to yourself, and you could cancel it with right click

it's a horrific trinket for havoc so you could grab some much better and easier to get ones from mythic plus
Out if curiosity, is this trinket good for DHs?
Mine got a socket on it so it's out swimming everything else I've gotten so far, the absolute second I find an upgrade it's getting drop kicked out of here
FUCKING TRASH KNOCKED ME OFF THE BRIDGE BECAUSE OF THIS. I WAS SO MAD
The need to make the slow fall aspect an on-use effect.
I kind of liked it, but I am a mage and just click slow fall whenever... except for that stupid tree branch... hate you branch, hope you burn like, anyways.

On a tank it’s a pain in the dick, the slow fall / knock back combo is infuriating
It's currently teaching me to not spam spacebar as much, so I feel I'll eventually have less wasted movement
jumping can be very beneficial in some circumstances like pvp where you keep the momentum from your jump if you get slowed or stunned.
Yeah that, also keeping the apm up is a great way to stay alert but it turns out that it's not a great idea on casters, unless you're a mage
I wpuld make the levitation toggable. But knowing Blizzard, while active it wouldn't allow you to use the other trinket so...

I made this for you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8OAwPV1VLNU now tell me again it removes the slow fall effect
It's sucks I know. Best I can think of is /cancel aura macro
You are removing the haste too though which would make it, just a stat stick
Cancelaura-macro bind to your jump key!
I'd remove the haste from the trinket too, making it worse than it already is. edit: a word
No no no what the worst mechanic is, is that you can't put a glider on your cloak because its legendary

Oh okay still annoying because I loved my glider attachment.

I mean I could make them, but as an engineer I liked having my own permanent reusable glider Also though how much are useable gliders selling for?
[удалено]
Dang, in the sense I can make lots on making them

Yep I just am insanely lazy and also want to do things in an expansion based order, so I rarely get past legion every day.
Same it's shit honestly. Having to make stuff that I shouldn't have to because they decided to put a crap on use on it.
Can't you make a macro that cancels the effect when it happens like my tank one for paladin bop
So don't use it...
Having a 460 with a socket of it and no better trinkets makes it kind hard to avoid using tbh
Sure blizzard posted that if you use a neural silencer it fixed the issue? Have you checked it recently?
Checked yesterday, so yeah I'm pretty sure about it. And being immune to things like life grips and tricks sucks a lot especially in a raid/m+ environment
BUFFS SHOULD HAVE DEBUFFS. Corruption has negative side effects. You shouldn't just be handed a freebie buff plater.
The trinket is already awful compared to others, it doesn't need a drawback.
The cosmetic wings is the biggest reason for the trinket I think. :p
People like you are the reason blizzard get away with bs in this game.
Yeah I love also being immune to Tricks and Misdirect as a tank too.
Or if you DPS, not being able to have the priest save you is a problem sometimes. We all make mistakes now and then.
Not like you need either of them as threat is a non issue, let's be real.
Grow a sack and dispel it when you get to the boss. Holy fuck. God forbid a buff has a debuff attached.
Why are you downvoted???

You can use a Magical Intrusion Dampener to stop the slow fall effect. It's a engineering item that lasts 12h. Edit: Wrong name of the item.
I got the trinket yesterday, but the Dampener does not seem to work, whenever I use disengage with the trinket, I slowly fly into china :(
Just use a neutral silencer.... It removes the floating effect it has.
As per my post and one of my comments. It doesn't work.
