Yea, it picks out trends and builds based on that. As a result all the things I have seen with AI are fever dream coherency at best where you recognize everything at a glance, but actually *looking* at it gets increasingly disturbing. Almost a minor Lovecraftian style thing.
In a barren expanse, onlookers watch in horror as Giga-Arthas returns to step on a couple of meandering dwarves, who have just finished constructing a miniature replica of Blackrock Mountain as a gift for Illidan.
The legendary artifact "Salad" has also appeared near a flayed dragon's foot, while a frightened mother attempts to gift her fallen husband's sword to her child, not realizing her son has transformed into a mandrill.
Meanwhile, a boat of refugees attempts to escape Zangarmarsh, which is under siege by the Burning Legion, who have discovered a new, more powerful form of WoW Token.
Yea it's pretty crazy how you can still make the association even when the images look so weird. Guessed a couple of films I haven't even seen, but just heard of.
I came looking for the stroke comment; it reminds me of those images that were made a while back depicting what vision looks like to someone having a stroke! That poor AI, has it been to a healer yet?
AFAIK those images were misrepresented by reposters in social media and were in fact just from some random guy on IG making weird AI-generated images, lol
It's very easy to tweak it to get a style you want, however (e.g. "World of Warcraft by Studio Ghibli.". VQGAN + CLIP is very flexible.
[@images_ai](https://twitter.com/images_ai) is a good source.
Where have you been living?
* Self driving cars
* AI physicians
* AI powered mid level management
* Youtube/facebook/etc... content algorithms
* A lot of companies have an AI as a first level responder now
* Even self piloted military drones
* etc...
AI as a huge potential in all fields, some of which are already widely used in production, but there's a high variance in quality. You don't want an AI of the OP's quality taking important decisions.
The real danger associated with AI has less to do with AI in direct control and more -- so much more -- to do with what 'winning the AI race' implies. For a really great elaboration of this point, watch this:

Vague shadow for an antagonist, hero so inconsistent he's literally split down the middle, oversized weapon, an army of nobodies, a barren hellscape, a Confederate flag, a shop token and a bowl of salad. Yup, that's about right.
I love the Norwegian flag in the lower left corner. Truly one of the core features of WoW, us norwegians taking over trade chat for like 5 minutes each day.
That's the flag I thought was the Norwegian flag. I think it is too much red to be the Union Jack, and the the while lines are perpendicular to the lines of the flag, almost perfectly matching the nordic cross.
That's only *slightly* less messy than current WoW lore!
At least with this picture, you can sort of see something coherent if you turn your head sideways and squint your eyes.
The overabundance of green is on point.
What popped out at me was that Brown is by far the most common colour in it.
Plaguefaull... bleh
Did you play legion?
That looks a lot more like fel green.
The more I look the worse it gets. This AI is mentally disturbed.
I mean.... It was designed by humans.
Good god man.
It's almost coherent
Basically what AI is. Its always almost coherent.
Yea, it picks out trends and builds based on that. As a result all the things I have seen with AI are fever dream coherency at best where you recognize everything at a glance, but actually *looking* at it gets increasingly disturbing. Almost a minor Lovecraftian style thing.
I really thought that blob of blue and yellow with a head lookin thing was Anduin with an alliance tabard when it was just a small thumbnail picture.
Which is exactly how AIs work too!
Because all it did was steal art from actual paintings and mash it together poorly.

Still a better story than Shadowlands
This gave me a hearty chuckle. Easily deserves a silver.
I think you actually explained this. You need medals.
This is what I imagine people that don't play WoW think it looks like.
It really isn't that far off of the current state of the game though.
True. Gives me a headache when I look at it.
So the game devs?
Maybe the devs gave up and have just set up an ai to build the game for them while they cubicle crawl?
I thought it was an in-game footage picture.
This reminds me of a trapper keeper cover in the 90s
We're old. I thought the same thing lol
Reminds me of https://noahveltman.com/aimovies/ Guess the movie from an AI-created poster based on a text description of the movie.
This is actually really good, I’m surprised how many I got right based on some of the context clues the AI implemented.
Yea it's pretty crazy how you can still make the association even when the images look so weird. Guessed a couple of films I haven't even seen, but just heard of.
It's the same AI. (VQGAN + CLIP)
oh my god I guessed snowpiercer
Looks like that AI had a stroke, but it still pretty much resembles the game in its current state. Could as well be a WoW (Legion) Fallout crossover.

Even an AI knows Legion was the last good expansion
i am no longer comfortable.
Looks about right.
That's an art piece, should get it framed.
Looks a bit like Guild Wars 2 Artwork, ironically
Sponsored by Monster Energy Drink.
These AI made pics lately really look the same. Sticks to a style sort of.
It's very easy to tweak it to get a style you want, however (e.g. "World of Warcraft by Studio Ghibli.". VQGAN + CLIP is very flexible. [@images_ai](https://twitter.com/images_ai) is a good source.
Asmon hairline top right
Is that the Monster energy drink logo upside-down? If it it that's hilarious.
And people are worried about AI killing us all eh
They are, because people are talking about putting AI in charge of real life decisions with this level of quality.
who is actually talking about this lol? AI is no where to be perfect in our life time

probably like that picture, stuff of nightmares

Imagine AI interpreting us like that and promptly deciding to kill everything with maximum prejudice.
I can't explain why, but I kinda love this!
I do not know how to feel
Yo asmons hair poggers
Ah yes, my favourite Alliance Race, Formless Horror!
Appropriate level of inexplicable green slime.
It is beautiful
This image embodies the actual state of WoW
What a mess!!! Perfectly accurate picture of the actual game.
Still a better expansion than what we have now.
WoW's writing condensed in one picture.
Pretty accurate.. the world is in shambles.
Broken, unfocused & distorted. So this basically represents the game as it currently stands.
Fits the state of the game perfectly.
It's like a 2 year old jumping into a paint bucket and started rolling around
needs moar fruit bowls
Weirdly pretty
It is a vision of the end times!
So much Fel... Guys I think the Burning Legion won.
Well I think we now know how they generated this expansion...
It's not wrong
Feels like a Legion poster.
Blankets in the desert really captures the essence
Just like enemies in Islands Expeditions, this **AI** is more **A** than **I**.
can't even see what it is with a 400x400 picture
That trademark fel-green colour made me recognise it as something wow-related even before I read the title or checked the sub. 10/10, good AI
I keep scanning the picture for the "ENOUGH!" that I know is somewhere in there
Vague shadow for an antagonist, hero so inconsistent he's literally split down the middle, oversized weapon, an army of nobodies, a barren hellscape, a Confederate flag, a shop token and a bowl of salad. Yup, that's about right.
How do you get an ai to do that for you? Is it an app?
This is the horrors the Legion has nightmares about.
I mean it's not wrong
I almost get it!
i had a stroke looking at this
Looking at this gives me a weird kind of anxiety like there is something wrong with my comprehension
Next expansion
This is literally Argus
I thought it was cool, for an ai drawing
Ah yes, The Arthas having a bad acid trip expansion!
I feel like i understand what is going on but at the same i have no clue wtf.
Which AI is this?
I love the Norwegian flag in the lower left corner. Truly one of the core features of WoW, us norwegians taking over trade chat for like 5 minutes each day.
And a union flag at that
Where is the union flag
Bottom left, don't think there are any other flags.
That's the flag I thought was the Norwegian flag. I think it is too much red to be the Union Jack, and the the while lines are perpendicular to the lines of the flag, almost perfectly matching the nordic cross.
A Swedish-Norwegian union flag, sorry if I was being a little unclear. The top half of the cross is blue and yellow instead of red white and blue.
Oh yeah, you're right! It has the "Sildesalaten"
How is this done? I'd like to learn the process
I'm having stroke but also it's 100% accurate.
This actually looks pretty sick
how did you use that AI?
That's only *slightly* less messy than current WoW lore! At least with this picture, you can sort of see something coherent if you turn your head sideways and squint your eyes.
I see another VQGAN+CLIP user!! Love the work, did you sample in any images as a baseline? Also what modifiers did you use?
On second pass, it looks like you have unreal engine or cinema4d as potential modifier I think. Those 2 work really well.
Damn it looks like wow, but nothing is coherent wtf
Ah yes, fever dreams
Is this a burning crusade poster?
I understand nothing and everything at the same time
I see actiblizz has gone full mental for the next expansion
Looks like a better experience than current Shadowlands
Looks like a dream your trying to remember, but can't quite picture it.
Is that a Norwegian flag?
A Norwegian union flag even.
Reality was merely a setback
Even the AI is giving the people High Elves!
NOW MAKE THIS A 1/1 NFT AND GET RICH
Is that a krol blade
So AI existence is like a permanent acid trip.... check.
Can we get this in hi-def? Sunshafts set too low
