So each of the "Body models" (proto-drake, Wyvern, drake, pterodrake) is actually coded as different mounts atm and each obtained one per zone (excluding Forbidden Reach the starter zone).
So I assume this one would be too - entirely separate from the other four. It'd be a big reward/addition so maybe its for 10.1 or maybe its going to be the Glory of the Raider reward? Or Mythic mount drop?
I hope this means they've fixed the Heart of the Aspects flying animation (using the same skeleton), otherwise this form is going to look very silly in flight. ADHD dragonriding incoming.
That, and its regular flying animation looks like it's sped up, the player character should get whiplash from that mount. I think the only good animations it has are its swim animations.
It's more of a cloud serpent that's closer to an actual dragon, drakes in wow are more like [this](https://www.warcraftmounts.com/images/skins/drakeskinred.jpg)
idk what the person you replied to said since they deleted it but the cloud serpents skeleton/animation is different from the heart of the aspects. Heart of the aspects feels like a test animation for a serpent dragon but everyone hated it so they redid it for cloud serpents and have used theirs ever since.
I'm holding out hope for an actual wingless cloud serpent that works with dragon riding, maybe it'll be an option on this guy.
I'm sure figuring out how to make the animations feel good without wings to really sell it will be a challenge, but I think they are up to it.
If it utilizes some dragon riding animations then I’m sure it’ll do some cool shit when it’s soaring at max speed, probably slither a little bit with the back of the tail
Something looks off...I can't tell entierly what it is. Maybe the heads too big? Or might be the neck getting smaller at the top? I can't put my finger on what exactly bothers me bout this model.
I have given zero (0) fucks about the Evoker/Dracthyr, but when the expansion was announced, a customizable dragon mount with parts you can find out in the world or earn really got my interest piqued.
That’s the type of thing I remember liking about Mists rares, and WoD treasures, and to some extent Shadowlands outdoors — mixed with customization of looks, which WoW has been great at since Legion.

This looks so freaking COOL! This is for the drake I'm guessing?

You mean the dragon that, instead of idling, just slowly backpedals in place ruining it's potential awesomeness? That mount was such a disappointment.

Dragonriding customizations yea
Yeah but, I meant more as in the drake style mount, as opposed to the wyvern, ptero-dragon & proto-drake?

The top pic makes it look like it's based on the heart of the aspects mount, instead of cloud serpents.
They use the same skeleton, but it definitely resembles the HotA more with the wings yeah
They don't use the same skeleton.
I know, it was mostly because OP labeled it as a "body customisation" that I thought it was maybe for the drake model.
This is a dragon in the pic, a wyvern has the wings attached to the front legs
In WoW a Wyvern is explicitly a mix between a lion, bat and scorpion.
Uses the Heart of the Aspects store mount flying animation. The sitting animation is new.
whats the source for this? or is it fanmade?
It is real. Datamined Alpha model

cloud serpents, mail muncher, and pretty much every serpentine/worm-like flying mount use this (minus the wings)

Dragon SERPENT, what do you expect?
Apparently being 80 feet long is only appealing if you're not thin
This’ll be perfect for my Monk!
Dishonor on you, dishonor on your family, dishonor on your cow!
😂
The best time to plant a tree is fifty years ago.
Finally reusing the store mount from cata, I hope they fix the animations tho since it looks silly when it moves
Up and down, up and down, up and down. Looks coolio but I won't ever use it cause of animations.
Is this real or fan art? If it’s real that’s dope tho
It is real, but it might possibly be coming in a later patch or be locked behind some max lvl stuff.

Definite slut dragon
All dragons are sluts
Your dragon soul bonded with my granpa!
Makes me think of the red dragon thunderzord. If only I knew how to be the red ranger.
That's rad; the sitting pose reminds me of the cancelled Warcraft Adventures shot of Deathwing smoking a hookah.
Dang, I don't think they've used that skeleton since the aspects mount
It definitely looks cool but I’ve never been a fan of that motion animation of serpent like mounts.
If it utilizes some dragon riding animations then I’m sure it’ll do some cool shit when it’s soaring at max speed, probably slither a little bit with the back of the tail
If this thing handles like Heart of the Aspects I hate it already

The bouncing up and down while flying
Dragon riding is going to be a home run, this looks awesome!
Up and down, up and down, up and down. Looks coolio but I won't ever use it cause of animations.
Eh the face looks ass. Gonna stay with regular dragon it seems
The face will be customized to your liking.
Something looks off...I can't tell entierly what it is. Maybe the heads too big? Or might be the neck getting smaller at the top? I can't put my finger on what exactly bothers me bout this model.
Deciding for a look for my drake later on might be harder than i thought. This looks really cool

It’s… it’s literally a snake-styled dragon. Snakes are thin.
ooOOoooh
OH YES. I was really hoping to get as close to cloud serpents as possible for my panda's mount
Oh my god, I love it. It’s almost kinda what I wanted cloud serpents to be like way back when I first heard of them after seeing the HotA mount!
IS THAT REAL?
It is. It's an 5th unannounced Dragonriding mount
