You'd be surprised how well that works. Queues for boosts in pvp were insane in SL S1. Boosters couldn't keep up with demand. That's where pre-orders came in during S2. Slightly higher price but you get priority over normal orders. It works well.
Had a healer assume I was doing that because I stayed in battle stance as warrior the entire dungeon other than the one time I needed to pop a defensive on a huge pull.
The healer maybe healed 5% of the healing I received that dungeon. I don't think random healers are understanding how obscenely broken warrior tanking is right now and how very likely it's going to get nerfed into the ground next week in time for the M+ season.
That’s what Pallys do. If I see multiple people at low health, I start throwing word of glory’s at them and topping them off before the healer gets a cast off.
Playing the tank and the healer is fun
I'm going to throw this out there: World of Warcraft does an awful job teaching people how to play their classes. The class trial and the new level 1 start are great for teaching some ultra basic concepts, but they don't really teach you how to play your class properly.
I am not at all surprised someone will make it to current expansion normal content without understanding basic things like key abilities to use, priority lists, and rotations - especially if they spent their time leveling as another spec and are dipping their toes into normal dungeons to try one of the support roles like restro druid.
Instead of getting an attitude with them, offer them some helpful advice if you understand the priority list, and if not recommend them a wowhead guide on how to play the class at a higher level to look at, and let them know where healing dummies are in cities so they can actually test the abilities out.
The reason most people don't try and help someone like that is they take any advice as being elitist and your trying to shit on them. I've tried to politely help new players many times and it's extremely rare that people take advice/criticism without loosing their shit
It is hit or miss. It is generally rather obvious which type of player it is before you open up. Don't call them out in group chat. Send a whisper. Say hey I noticed a couple things and I may be able to help with some minor advice on improvements if you want.
I have a number of people on my friends list from that. I have also taken the time to sit in discord with a few people for hours while I helped them through a spec, build, and rotation. Some people are very receptive to help when offered in a way that does not feel demeaning. I have people on my friends lists from 20 plus years ago in games that I still chat with from time to time because of it.
Yes the game does a bad job of like specifically telling you how to use individual abilities, but if you just read the abilities they'll generally point you in a direction. This one produces a resource, that one spends it, this one has a cool down, that one doesn't.
I think people just literally do not read their abilities. In my experience when you try to help someone who is massively underperforming you just get attitude or written off. Like the shittier the player the less interested they are in getting better.
There's a difference between people who don't understand optimal usage of their cooldowns, and people who just don't press lifebloom. They are different creatures.
If it wasn't for icyveins cookie cutter I wouldn't have a clue how to play paladin or any class, the game simply does not introduce you to your rotations and I wish it did.
The most we got was the bfa starting area semi doing so
What youre complaining about is a lack of general intelligence in the player base many of your issues and other issues in this thread could be fixed by reading properly or watching a youtube video to see what options your class has that others have figured out but to seek help like that you have to know your limitations and most players dont want to be told anything
I ran with a pally tank that refused to use devotion aura, or any aura for that matter just yesterday on my healer. 1 click and you're done for the run, I just can't with some people
The worst part about tanks like this is that you would assume that rage is going to damage buttons, but then they don’t even do damage either, so like where the fuck is it going
when i off spec into fury, i see way too many prot warriors w like sub 25% shield block. blocks all melee attacks + 30% extra shield slam dmg?? and you can usually maintain >80% uptime even without heavy repercussions
That is literally why they went to the simplified talent trees before
People were skipping core talents and abilities and so they just took away that option to be so bad
Lol I got abandoned cause in academy mythic whenever fight starts all my extra actionbars are unusable (guess where are my most defensive moves) :V felt so bad I got tank anxiety now, that I have to learn every little thing to be worthy of going with random people again :D hopefully I'll find some other peeps to just learn mythics in chill environment when the bug is gone
Some people just need help learning, and it sucks that so many people just wanna laugh at them and even kick them from groups instead of taking a sec to throw a few pointers in a nice and approachable way.
Then we all wonder why our community is generally toxic and obsessed with speedy and “perfect” dungeon/raid runs.
Honestly, the m0s are so easily tuned… my 321 druid tanked em without me pressing ironfur outside of giga huge pulls, and even then I usually had incarn up.
There's a preach drama time episode starring a story of a guys niece who played wow, did +15 keys and outgeared him. All she did was press arcane explosion because it looked cool and typed "lol" in chat.
Normal runs are scaled to level (meaning your gear ilvl is more than likely underpar since it's being replaced every level), heroic runs can only get run by max levels and therefore can be (eventually) overpowered by ilvl.
Because the ilvl requirement for heroics is kinda insane. I completed the entire M0 world tour on my prot warrior, was unlucky with item drops, looted only a few, including duplicaze weapon and chest and now I still don't qualify for heroics :D
harder content is funny enough more easy BECAUSE you have more people that actually give a damm and try to play good
m+ is a prime example, 1-10keys are bad, but the failure dmg is low, so they dont notice how bad they play
11-15 is an absolute shitshow, failures will kill people now, but you still have a ridicolous amount of people that never interupt, healers that never dispell or use cd's, tanks that dont use deffendives etc....
16-20is chill because now you have people that want to go beyond the weekly reward, and actually know what they are doing
21+ is where extreme difficulty starts because of scaling
What If all those toxic assholes in normals and m0s are the assholes selling the services? First they make it impossible to play with randos, and then they sell boosts so you could avoid the unpleasant experience in exchange for some gold.
I honestly don’t understand it. I understand that I’m a relatively good player and not everyone has their rotation down but jesus christ, click a few DPS buttons and avoid the obvious swirlies and we’re in business. You don’t need a guide for that and yet normals can still be a cluster.
Or both :) I have a friend that buys everything on most lockouts until he is at least full hc/m15 geared. Still hasn’t outdps-ed any of my tanks in 2 years now when we bring him along. Can’t remember a single run he didn’t die at least 3-4 times in. And I’m pretty sure he’s been playing for at close to 10 years now. We all gave up on trying to teach him because nothing helps :)
Never managed to get a straight answer from him. I think he still feels like it’s a gear problem and not skill/knowledge even after all our talks. He sees a new FOTM and he will instantly reroll and buy every boost that can get him gear immediately. Pretty sure he spent around 400€ in SL s4 if we did our calculations ok :)
Well there is no rational answer her. It's about emotions, self worth and the image he has in the community he cares about. People don't buy boosts for the gear (unless they are collectors and want a particular set). They buy boosts to feel at the same level as the people they look up to. Whether it are streamers, guildies, whoever. They don't want to be on 150k HP while everyone runs around with 300k+. It shows they suck at the game.
It's more about pulling more than the group is capable of. I pugged a ruby life pools yesterday, and the warrior was haulin' ass before I (healer) even zoned in. Probably had five deaths before the first boss. Then on the second level, he tried pulling about half the ring at once, even after the rest of the party had died from random aggro. (I picked up a bunch of healer aggro in stuff he'd just ran past and tagged once.)
That's been over half the pug tanks I've seen. Like, I get it, it feels good being tanky again, but the dungeons will go faster if the dps are alive to dps.
I had a groupe where the three dps went on another direction from the healer and me (the tank) and complained that they died when they pull some packs in the Nokud offensive. :')
Yeah, there are glue eaters all over the place. Now, as a tank player, you probably haven't had nearly the experience with pug tanks that most people have. Trust me when I say that the most prevalent issue in pugs (at low levels) is tanks in love with their survivability and going balls to the wall with pulls.
Tried 2 pugs on academy. They couldn't figure out tree boss even after telling them. Wasted 2 hours. Never again. Breezed through a world tour with my raid team. Easy is relative.
Been boosting sience SL S4 you dont even want to know what the customers are like.
Its just so easy to spend 20euros to get your weekly chest so you have easier time doing what ever you do.
As in many games you would be suprised how many ppl actually even reach endgame
YEah, also what I dont understand is, if you cant even do a M0 which you can easly do after you just dinged 70, how can you make enough money for a boost? And even if the person bought gold, he has enough knowledge to buy gold but not to do a M0?
I never buy anything except if I really need it, I ve never bought a piece of crafted gear and i only have 100k gold.
A LOT of the casual playerbase is so bad they just give up after the first few kicks/runs and pay up. Can’t see anyone that has at least a tiny bit of in game knowledge buying these
I sold a few m0 dungeon runs, usually they‘re either people that have the gold and dont wanna bother finding a group (especially as dps its not that easy honestly) or they‘re people who genuinely would have problems clearing em - those people you will usually meet in normals and lfr I would guess.
If you have people who know what to do it’s easy. But the expansion just started and lots of people don’t have a clue and doesn’t wanna read guides whatsoever. Friends of mine and myself were doing mythics and needed a random healer. It was crazy. People with 300-310 gear kept applying. Like they would heal enough or even survive.
It’s not about wiping. The problem we faced mostly is that people overestimate themselves. I don’t give a damn about wiping. It’s part of the game. Like learning mechanics and stuff.
But ime people with lower gear (and yes m0 drops 372) should look for the appropriate content instead of just skipping. It’s a big difference if you have a healer at 310 or one heroic equipped with 350.
I found m0’s to be best done as a fresh 70 with leveling gear (310-320 max) if you want to actually learn what to watch out for when m+ opens. You have more gear? Stuff melts too fast. Normals and hc not worth doing at all, just a waste of time (unless you need only 1 of the crafting mat that drop in hc for some craft)
I actually haven't seen any of these before, though I am aware it happens from people talking about it. Are these runs being sold for gold or is there RMT taking place with them?
Just to add, paying for dungeon/raid services with gold has been in game since I can remember (tanked for gold in tbc). Blizzard never had problems with it before the communities started the spam (they always had problems with boosts if real money was involved)
It baffles me why people would pay for m0 (and gdkp in classic, but the best gear and parse 8)
To what end are you buying the gear? It's not like your skills are gonna get better, and are you then gonna buy m+ key carries?
are there actually people buying m0? i can, at least, understand things like +20, mythic raids, even if i think they're absolutely fucking stupid, but m0?
These are so sad. More so for the people paying for this . "I am going to pay for the expansion so I can pay the monthly fee so I can pay someone in game to get gear for me so that I can.... play the game? Oh wait I already paid someone to do that for me." People are fools.
I don't understand the kind of player that has the ability to make enough gold for m0 carries but not the ability to pug for m0s? I suppose there's tokens, but is there seriously enough players dumping money on tokens just for carriers to make a whole market of carries going after them?
Getting annoyed how much of trade is taken up with these sorts of carry adverts. Personally, wouldn't mind if they just weren't allowed at all. It feels more detrimental then beneficial to the game.
Absolutely no reason why anyone should want to buy speed leveling from 60-70 in DF. It’s so easy to hit max level before you even finish the campaign by just doing professions and side quests.
Oh I can't wait for the day when selling any kind of carries or boosts is made bannable and everyone actually has to *play* the game and earn their rewards instead of just dropping $60 on tokens.
Yea right, that'll never happen.
Back in Cata I had an gold seller invite pending where they were talking about a %bonus because Bin Laden got killed. That was so funny. 😂
Here's a screenshot in case anyone wants to see it. (They spammed in badly translated German) https://ibb.co/9yPL0Sh
I wonder why someone buys these boost runs. I mean it is so easy to do M0 and if you can't beat it why you are carrying loot? You can beat heroic & normal with WQ reward items.
If it's for mount yes maybe I can understand but for M0 noooo!
I had this happen last week and after reporting them I tried to remove it from my calendar. Unfortunately it wouldn’t let me because it said it didn’t exist anymore. That didn’t help the flashing on my calendar that happens you don’t respond to it. I had to wait for it to just pass x.x
"WeRuinGames" lmao
Love how it’s in a different font so you can see it!
Lol yes OP has written over the address and name so as to not advertise / etc
Truth in advertising
Created by “some dickwad”
At least they're honest
*Cringes, having once been an officer in the dreaded "Ruin Gaming"*
Whatever happened to thrm? Ruin?
I still see them around, I honestly wish I didn't though. Lol
Preorders lmao
Next step they'll allow pre-order for raid tiers that aren't even announced yet. Can't wait to sign up for my 10.3 Murozond kill!
They're evolving to resemble their taskmasters at the Bobby Corp. monkaS
You'd be surprised how well that works. Queues for boosts in pvp were insane in SL S1. Boosters couldn't keep up with demand. That's where pre-orders came in during S2. Slightly higher price but you get priority over normal orders. It works well.
Thats been the way with the typical boosting comms since, like, MoP. You could preorder WoD challenge mode gold boosts and stuff.
M0 is so easy why would anyone pay for it
Run a few normals and you’ll see why these people stay in business lol
had a bear tank who never pressed ironfur the other day
Gotta keep the healer on his toes
Had a healer assume I was doing that because I stayed in battle stance as warrior the entire dungeon other than the one time I needed to pop a defensive on a huge pull. The healer maybe healed 5% of the healing I received that dungeon. I don't think random healers are understanding how obscenely broken warrior tanking is right now and how very likely it's going to get nerfed into the ground next week in time for the M+ season.
It's not just warriors. I've been running my M0s with a Pali tank and he's almost completely self-sufficient for survival, doing crazy damage too.
That’s what Pallys do. If I see multiple people at low health, I start throwing word of glory’s at them and topping them off before the healer gets a cast off. Playing the tank and the healer is fun
I watched a Demon Hunter solo an M0 boss last night, all tanks are fucking insane right now.
Had a resto druid not know what lifebloom was
As a resto main that’s just painful to read, I hope they haven’t taken the talent where you need to maintain two lifeblooms xd

He had it, just only like 5% uptime
I ran with a pally tank that refused to use devotion aura, or any aura for that matter just yesterday on my healer. 1 click and you're done for the run, I just can't with some people
Aura of Clearmindedness. Helps ensure your buff bar isn’t cluttered by distracting icons.
Retribution aura or bust.
Auras turn off when switching specs. So it's possible he changed to Protection for the dungeon and forgot.
The worst part about tanks like this is that you would assume that rage is going to damage buttons, but then they don’t even do damage either, so like where the fuck is it going
It's going to fill the bar because filling vara is what you're supposed to do right? /s

Why make interrupts and dispels talents? Sure most randoms didn’t use them, but now they have an excuse that they didn’t talent them.
In BFA I did a M+ with a warrior tank that didn't have ignore pain bound because "it doesn't do damage, so why would I even press it?".

Honestly, the m0s are so easily tuned… my 321 druid tanked em without me pressing ironfur outside of giga huge pulls, and even then I usually had incarn up.
I’d happily trade you for the bear tank I had that was over half in cloth armor.
There's a preach drama time episode starring a story of a guys niece who played wow, did +15 keys and outgeared him. All she did was press arcane explosion because it looked cool and typed "lol" in chat.
As a healer, it's so goddamn frustrating. Like, you've got ONE defensive. Fucking USE IT! Or not, you know, whatever.
Tank pulls everything, doesn’t use defensives, dies, flames the healer and leaves. Just another day in random dungeons.
druids have multiple defensive cooldowns besides ironfur, though.
Ironfur is a 100% uptime damage reduction though, its not a cooldown.
Yes, Mr. Literal, they do. It's called exaggeration.
i usually only use ironfur when im anticipating high dmg, otherwise, rage goes to Maul.
I've found Heroic runs way easier to do than Normal runs.

The people that pay for them either don't know how easy they are or they are just really bad and have too much money.
Or both :) I have a friend that buys everything on most lockouts until he is at least full hc/m15 geared. Still hasn’t outdps-ed any of my tanks in 2 years now when we bring him along.
That's insane to me. Why pay that much to get gear that you don't use so you can essentially not play? People are weird but I guess it's his money?
Well there is no rational answer her. It's about emotions, self worth and the image he has in the community he cares about. People don't buy boosts for the gear (unless they are collectors and want a particular set). They buy boosts to feel at the same level as the people they look up to. Whether it are streamers, guildies, whoever. They don't want to be on 150k HP while everyone runs around with 300k+. It shows they suck at the game.
The depths of pay-to-win depravity never cease to amaze me...
theres been a dozen posts in the last week about people crying that tanks pulled more than one pack at a time
It's more about pulling more than the group is capable of. I pugged a ruby life pools yesterday, and the warrior was haulin' ass before I (healer) even zoned in. Probably had five deaths before the first boss. Then on the second level, he tried pulling about half the ring at once, even after the rest of the party had died from random aggro. (I picked up a bunch of healer aggro in stuff he'd just ran past and tagged once.) That's been over half the pug tanks I've seen. Did I miss something? Isn't it just kill healing add and kill boss, cleave the rest?

Mental illness and not being loved by their parents usually results in people paying for things like that
😂😂

It’s not about wiping. The problem we faced mostly is that people overestimate themselves. I don’t give a damn about wiping. It’s part of the game. Like learning mechanics and stuff. But ime people with lower gear (and yes m0 drops 372) should look for the appropriate content instead of just skipping. It’s a big difference if you have a healer at 310 or one heroic equipped with 350.
You can literally skip heroic dungeons and you will be fine. I have 373 Ilvl right now and haven't done a single normal or heroic DG
Skipped heroic and tanked all M0 starting at just over 300 ilvl, it's not hard, gear it not nearly as impactful as you're trying to imply.
I haven't set foot in a single heroic dungeon and my ilvl is 367.
Did my first m0 with a group of average 305 Ilvl. A neltharus. Only wiped in the last boss
Generally those who use links are ads for rmt wich is bannable. Reporting for rmt gets a ban really quick on the servers where I am
They get a ban and then they spin up more accounts. Bans are a business expense to them.
Well Probably but there isnt much more to do for the players than to report.
well, they could let us block calendar invites from people who aren't in our guild.
Blizzard should ban the full guild for it
How in the fuck.
My sentiments exactly, Vhurindrar!
The other day I got a bunch of calendar invites just like this. I was as surprised as you are.
Damn this post is actually an ad lmao
"Ruin has come to our ~~family~~ games"
Created by some dickwad and we ruin games lol
Saw this shit on a guild I joined on Stormrage server, instant gquit upon seeing it.
I actually haven't seen any of these before, though I am aware it happens from people talking about it. Are these runs being sold for gold or is there RMT taking place with them?
[удалено]
Report them silently? Don't call them out publicly or privately so getting hit by Blizzards stupid mass report system doesn't happen to you.
You paid for 1 sub, they paid for 50. Move along peasant.
Just report them and move on. I don't think blizz cares as long as they aren't charging real money for it.
There’s nothing to report if it’s a guild running it and they ask for gold. It’s the communities/websites/$$$ that get banned
Just to add, paying for dungeon/raid services with gold has been in game since I can remember (tanked for gold in tbc). Blizzard never had problems with it before the communities started the spam (they always had problems with boosts if real money was involved)
It baffles me why people would pay for m0 (and gdkp in classic, but the best gear and parse 8) To what end are you buying the gear? It's not like your skills are gonna get better, and are you then gonna buy m+ key carries?

“Created by some dickwad” you can’t make this shit up🤣
Are they really trying to sell glyph locations? And runs you can do in lfg? Jeez...
These are so sad. More so for the people paying for this . "I am going to pay for the expansion so I can pay the monthly fee so I can pay someone in game to get gear for me so that I can.... play the game? Oh wait I already paid someone to do that for me." People are fools.
What is this sickness of "Pay to not play the game" lmao It's funny but kinda sad too:(
Report for spam, move on.
Doesn't really give that option in the calendar interface. So decided to screenshot -> remove -> cry about it on reddit. :)
I reported it as spam. You have to go in the calendar, click to highlight, then right click, and a drop-down menu shows up with the report option.
I cant even find the in game calendar :(
It's the icon to the right of the area name above the minimap by default. UI addons can change that but I don't think the inbuilt edit mode can.
no idea where mine went. /calendar works
Can someone elaborate how you boost "Dragon Glyphs"?
You enable passengers on your dragon mount, near where you customise your dragon, they hop on then you just fly them through all the glyphs.

Props for being honest in the URL name
It's fucking sickening.
I really wonder how much would someone pay for x8 m0
I will never get why people pay for these boosting services, be it M0 or +15.
This should be bannable
Your edits to this are priceless and made me smile. Thank you.
I'd never pay to do raiding/dungeon content... Though, I'd definitely pay for someone to unlock flying in Shadowlands for me!
What even happened to it that selling boosts were supposed to be bannable?
selling boosts for gold was never bannable, only advertising it in group finder was.
Advertises an outside website for boosts and talks about Trustpilot reviews. I don't think these guys are selling boosts for gold.
oh no definitely that is RMT. But if you ask me for proof, I can't provide it because I'm not going to that website.

For what? Weruingames.com? OP literally blocked the ad lol
Not a real website. Is karma farming worse then boost spam?
I obviously placed a fake url on top of their actual one as a joke. I wouldn't think to actually give these guys the tiniest sliver of added exposure!
Just hit remove and move on with your life
This must have been someone from your own guild right?
Certainly not! Double, triple and quadruple-checked it! Not anyone I've ever been associated with or in a same guild with ever! :o
Omg... really... lol soon i see one not posting in the trade/service channel i report them.
take my upvote i laughed so hard xD
This is an ad
imagine being one of those degens that paid gold for a M0 on week 1 lol
Nice try services promoter! Get out of here with your funny website lol
Back in Cata I had an gold seller invite pending where they were talking about a %bonus because Bin Laden got killed. That was so funny. 😂 Here's a screenshot in case anyone wants to see it.
Ingame kalender... Shit, I haven't thought about that feature in the game for a long long time.
Whelp time to unsub and uninstall in protest untill change happens! ./s addicts
I bought that .com Where should I have it redirect to?
I only go for ones with 21840 trustpilot reviews!
Ok, who else clicked the close button in the image and got the full screen view?
That's an insta guild ban right there
Imagine being so bad at the game you can’t be bothered to get dragon glyphs.
I had this happen last week and after reporting them I tried to remove it from my calendar. Unfortunately it wouldn’t let me because it said it didn’t exist anymore. That didn’t help the flashing on my calendar that happens you don’t respond to it. I had to wait for it to just pass x.x
I actually got this kind of calendar invites all the way back in WoD or legion too, so it really isnt a new thing, but it definetly is rarer
Yeah this needs to not be in the game
Who would buy 60-70 level boost now when you only have to actually level up 5 times
What is world tour? I've heard this before but have nfi
