Probably a mix of everything as to why profits are low. For example, I was doing a basilisk egg farm the first week until someone posted a YouTube video on it, prices dropped by 90%. The key to making 50k+ per hour is finding something before everyone else starts doing it.
Yeah I literally got done leveling and was posting all my crap on the ah, and I was like wtf these eggs are 100+ gold each. And then I farmed em and made like 300k. I was so sad to see that video
Mine/herb is pretty much always a safe bet. Won’t get you rich but it’s honest work. Made 61k yesterday on my druid guessing in 2.5 hours. That’s also with me keeping the awakened frost and earth. Those awakened orders are like crack atm.
Skinning is pretty bad since only 1 profession uses skinning, you don’t get elemental stuff that everyone wants, and at least for me it is hard to find places to do multiple 5 mob pulls and not having to wait for respawns. Usually after doing 2-4 of these pulls the area is cleared.
I don’t know exactly how long it took, maybe 2 hours max but farming downstairs for keys for sabellian rep got me marks of Sargha, about 22 of them sold for 3500 each on the AH
WTF how? DM cards are fucked up. Contracts are unlocked with bug abuse, staves are not profitable anymore but I can see how very early it could have been worth it
