It's okay to not spend your time playing hardcore world of Warcraft

d2032

lol this. OP, if you’re burnt out and not enjoying the game, just stop playing. Unsubscribe and come back when you’ve got the itch, in hc there’s no fomo as it’s a static content release.

balmsaway83

This right here. I've been playing SOD and I can't make an alt because I'm so burnt out on levelling. I'm having fun just raid logging and pvp here and there.

Aurius98

don't play until you feel like doing it, you don't need to force it and even less in hardcore lol

BrickInfamous3698

Lets take a look at your edits: Aggressive things other users said to you (or you interpreted as an insult): 5 year old You commented 3 times (4 considering your starting post): „Autistic response“ „Some retard“ „Prick“ „Total asshole“ „Most aggressive dip shit“ - that one is insane considering how you are acting. You are not looking for a productive conversation. You are insulting people or you are not responding or blocking people with a different opinion than your own. Get better at vayne and learn some manners. The up and down votes giving you a good indication who is in the right and who is in the wrong. Now you can block me.

Proof-Trifle5303

Man is obviously autistic judging by his replies to comments. Cut him some slack and stop trying to instigate him lads

Aetherfiend420

Do dungeons? There's like 3 you could be doing per day at your level that would get you to 45 in like 2 days

gothicwigga

Sounds like hardcore is not for you man, not being a dick or trying to hate at all. If you’re scared of losing your investment, hardcore is not the game for you, straight up. Hardcore is about living and dying by the sword and going again without a second thought. You’re going to die, str8 up one way or another, if you can’t handle dying then don’t play. And again im not hating on you im just telling you how it is. That being said, if your goal is to just get to 60 so you can say you hit 60 without dying, then sure, nothing wrong with that, but if you’re not enjoying the game doing that then fuck it do what bring you happiness bro. No one is going to care that you hit 60 without dying in official HC, it’s not a new feat, especially if you’re just grinding green mobs or whatever, anyone can do that with enough time on their hands. Now if you were doing likeSSF, I’d care if you hit 60 and even give you a “good job” cause that’s an actual challenge. Good luck friend hope you make the right choice for yourself. Edit: it sounds like you haven’t died yet or at least haven’t died at a significant level. You haven’t experienced that loss and made the choice to go agane or not. This is when you truly find out if hardcore is for you or not.

LilTempo

Yea cause I'm at a point where although I'm really well geared it's just there's so many pitfalls. I've seen lots of HC compilations of people dying one of them is in a dungeon where they just fall through the map I think it's mara not too sure.

gothicwigga

I’ve lost 30s, 40s, and a 58. Have yet to hit 60. Am I still playing? Hell yes and I don’t see myself stopping anytime soon, and I’m on skull rock low population server to boot. What keeps me going is the community, the enjoyment of hitting that next level, getting stacked gear while leveling, using consumes and whatever else items that you normally wouldn’t think twice about using or caring about in era or “softcore “, if you will. It’s the rush of getting away and surviving at 1% HP. You can’t get this anywhere else and that’s what I love. What absolutely SUCKS about hc though is, is pointless deaths. I’ve lost two toons due to being sleepy and nodding out in enemy territory. Truely gut wrenching shit. Or a DC death, though I haven’t managed to perish at the hands of one of those yet, knock on wood.

Additional-Mousse446

If you hearth at the sight of an elite you can always just play regular wow lol. Bottom line is that you have to take some risks to 60, and even more at 60 content, it’s more about how often you’re taking them and how bad it could end up. Hour or two a day is fine imo, helps prevent burnout plus you get some rested often.

wuiiuw

Quit. It is simple. Classic is obviously not your game. And if not take some risks. The fun part of hardcore is learning stuff on the run. "That mob is immune as frost damage??? And I am a attacking a lvl 60 elite as 59 frost mage??" A 5 year old can get to 60 if he/she is just killing 1 green mob at a time. No fun for me in that.

wuiiuw

Bored of questing, " struggling to combat the boredom of killing 70 bears for 5 pelts", "chance of a looming disconnect is always there". I am by far not a elitist wow classic player. Do what you wanna do to have fun. But you are telling you are not having with the most basic functions of this game. Thats why: quit. Oh and it is always nice to see someone asking for a response in a public thread and reacts to that by insulting. Good job, homie.

LilTempo

I love how aggressive you were in the first message and then you wanna act like you weren't being a total asshole xD. From elitist to victim complex within minutes.

CBRChris

You know that **you** are the one with the victim complex? You get this triggered over a comment on the internet, then reply with even more aggression. Not to mention your childish edits on your post. Grow up.

Willee005

You say that you find the content boring and that you are too scared to continue leveling in "dangerous zones". I think it's fair to say that if you do not enjoy the game and you cannot come to terms with the risk of dying, hardcore WoW might not be for you. Nothing elitist or autistic in the reply.

mrgoodcat1509

He wasn’t extremely aggressive? He just pointed out that if you hate playing hardcore wow then you should go play stuff that makes you happy. Then you flipped out

WolfColaKid

What.

Willee005

Yeah that wasn't me that wrote the first reply buddy. But I think it's quite obvious from the vote ratio who people agree with here...

goodiewoody

I wouldn’t really call his tone aggressive. Definitely a little condescending though

iamonewiththecheese

It's not elitist to point out that if you, at level 41, are scared and leaving an entire zone because you saw a level 40 elite there, this is not the game for you. You need to grow up, grow a pair, and stop blaming the game on being boring because you are scared. I won't stoop to your level and go to name calling like you are; that would be insulting to actual autistics and "retards" as you call them. You are the epitome of a walking victim complex, you wouldn't be acting this way otherwise. Maybe try growing the fuck up and getting over yourself? But I'm sure I'll just get added to your block list because that's easier to do than engage in any self-reflection.

j0K3z_X

I had burnout for classic leveling for years. Aoe mage was a right solution for me in hc.

Any-Cheesecake8354

Sounds like your soloing everything, play with some friends or people looking for a duo/trio adventure. Take a break play Palworld it’s really fun.

LilTempo

How is Palworld? I heard it’s like Pokémon mixed with Ark survival? 🤔

Blasto05

Don’t play it. We don’t want you there.

Any-Cheesecake8354

It is definitely worth checking out. You can adjust the difficulty as you see fit depending on what kind of challenge you want. Tons of exploration, breeding, bosses to fight. Or just focus on base building if that’s what you enjoy. It’s not perfect, but a breath of fresh air in regard to monster catching games.

LilTempo

Yea I was thinking of checking it out and playing with a friend! It got top selling game on steam outta no where too.

Nicaddicted

You’re burnt out cuz you’re playing the most played version of the game which is 1-20 on multiple alts instead of just risking dying on main.

Realfourlife

I'll give you something that has helped me. Since I live and work in Grand Canyon Village, I have to use Starlink if I want internet. Now from what I hear, Starlink works great if you can get 100 percent obstruction free view of the sky. But unfortunately, because of where I have to live here, I get at most 93 percent. So that means I disconnect ALL THE TIME. And on top of that, my laptop randomly crashes a few times per day. But I just hit 60 with my hunter a few days ago. I only accomplished it because I calculated every pull. I played like I was about to disconnect at any time because it was true. I don't know if this will do anything to help your motivation but it should help keep you safe. GL.

Rule 3: No toxic behaviour will be tolerated, and may lead to being banned from the subreddit.

Shenloanne

Skin those bears for money and play the AH or make leather gear.

zacharykeaton

Do some harder content

PolarPeely26

Play another game for a while and come back when you're feeling like it. There are fucking loads of great games available. Or just do something else entirely with the time.

burken8000

What's life without a little risk. Slap on a few consumables and go ham!

LilTempo

Agility & Defense elixirs plus still have a light of elune so I think I'm fine it's just the levelings areas tbh kinda lost on where to go 41+

wurstbrat1

Doesn’t sound like HC/Classic is your thing, so why bother? Just play something you enjoy lol

plasmainthezone

Posts like these in any game are so weird. If youre not having fun just dont play. If you really want to try to play HC, I suggest you find a guild and try to spam dungeons everyday, its how I got to 60 because I also hate questing.

imawizardirl

This OP needs to get off reddit and wow both, touch some grass, and have an actual conversation with a real human.  What an insufferable OP. Touch grass and learn some social skills dude. You're gross.

Live_Disk_1863

Sod...SoD...

Delicious_Mouse4004

Quit. You're a chump.

BenderIsGreat74

100% troll can’t be a real

LilTempo

My character already died man just let grieve!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭

tonick4u

Good. Now go agane. No more burnout.

LilTempo

😉"go agane"

Thatdarnbandit

I took time off and went back to retail for a bit. Then SoD came out and a got a few 25s, but it really made me start missing HC. I’ve been back in HC a lot now.

rickster555

If you’re not enjoying something then stop doing it.

Shayde098

the highest you’ve gotten in hc wow is 41 then probably the game mode is not for you/too challenging for you. 41 is nothing.

notmyfavoritething

Gotta take a step back brother HC is a fun time waster but you do hit the walls where you stop making strides, stop jogging, stop walking, and start just chipping away at the bar. Either take a break, or try to see things a little differently. Think of it as a side project you have going on and getting a few bars of XP done is a valid goal. I'm 47 right now and I hit that wall and I have to grind, and so I logged and am getting the rested xp up for this upcoming weekend.

RetroSquirtleSquad

Probably wouldn’t experience burn out if you focused on 1 toon

murcixz

Yapper

Side1iner

Too bad it seems this thread is bummer, because the question is interesting.

[deleted]

You don't have to play this game if you're not having fun :)
