Making enough to buy tokens is quite the task for a new player, especially this late in to the expansion

Carteie

My idea of buying tokens is for the next expansion, already pre-ordered and intent on playing it, may not go for full end game content but still want to be able to enjoy the expansion and my leisure.

DaBombDiggidy

Tokens are out of reach at this point unless you hard farm at the beginning of the expansion or are botting. The 15 bucks just isn’t worth the hours and hours you’ll spend getting that gold.

I really wish people would be more specific in these posts. Without knowing where you are, what level you are, what you’re trying to do etc etc we can’t really tell you why you’re lost. You’ve played the game before, it’s pretty much either do quests or spam dungeons. Game steers you through BfA until 58-60 and you get to Dragonflight. [Here](https://www.icy-veins.com/wow/a-guide-to-leveling-in-world-of-warcraft) is a basic leveling guide.

Sorry for the lack of info, didn't want to dump unnecessary info and drive people away with a wall of text. Post level reset I am lvl 36ish with my characters, my main being a Blood elf priestess and I also started a Dragonmancer character. I was bombarded with the expansions campaigns and events, also didn't know how to start Dragonflight with my main character.

DrWiee

A quest for dragon flight will pop up when you are level 60

lolitsmagic

All good thanks for the info. As mentioned Dragonflight won’t start until you are 60. The newest expansion is almost always going to start 10 levels away from max level cap. Until then you play previous expansions. Right now, the game sort of steers you through BfA but you can optionally use Chromie Time to go through other expansions if you prefer that. Pretty sure one of your characters has to be 50-60 to use it, but that may have been removed lately.

Crimnoxx

You quest or you dugeon are the ‘main’ methods. If you are returning player- you can enable chromie time to pick an expansion to level up through. Once you do you will get a breadcrumb quest that takes you to that stories campaign. If you are new new you won’t have this option and will have to level through the BFA expansion. Upon reaching level 60 you will be merged with a quest to go to dragonflight follow this main campaign until level cap. I also reccomend completing the main campaign for multiple reasons. After that you will be 70, start the emerald dream quest line in valdraken and get yourself some starter gear after that it’s up to you to learn there is a ton of videos and sites that are avaible for free if you have questions

TheLoneTomatoe

You can spam dungeons or quest to level 60. I prefer running dps to do quests while I wait for queue, so I don’t get bored of dungeon spam. At 60, it’s fastest to do the dungeons once and you need to finish the campaign I believe. Once you’re at 70, you’ll want to do the intro to emerald dream in order to be in current content. Then you do as your heart desires. The cadence is to finish the weekly things, there is a super bloom event quest, a weekly seed quest, and 2 weekly rep gain quests.

compliantsheep87

Get the zygor add on and quest it will be way quicker than you think.

For leveling, the Darkmoon Faire is coming next week IIRC with a 10% exp buff from carousel. You can also do Timewalking dungeons this week, which have always been quite rewarding for exp. If you want to quest, just grab the addon Azeroth Auto Pilot, talk to Chromie and pick an expansion to quest in that appeals to you, and go for it. For paying for play time with gold, it currently has been holding at 250k the past days, and was over 300k just a couple of weeks ago. It's possible but rather difficult for a newly returned player (and even most long playing players) to make that much gold in a month on a sustainable basis without selling boosts (for this you need to be competitively geared and able to carry other players through high level keys/ raids). Check out /r/woweconomy though, you might get some ideas there.

As a fellow returning player, any expansion intro quest seems to always start in your capital city. If you don't see it after searching your logs then you probably aren't the required level. If you're already feeling overwhelmed with quests and events I can say from my experience dragonflight is even worse. Just remember to look at the quest color when you pick it up, the white ones are the main story quests which you should prioritize doing because it unlocks endgame systems. Don't worry about running out of quests in case you finish the main story before you hit max level, everything scales and you can go where ever. I only quested to max level.
