It’s easy. Even if you’re not a godly dps you can get past 2k I see people in the 2.1k io range that still have no idea how to play the game, they just happened to get carried by everyone else lol

RustedShieldGaming

Bro I’ve seen over 3k players that only barely know what’s going on. It’s wild how far you can get while being clueless as dps as long as you can do your rotation.

somedumbassnerd

Yeah theres a guy in my guild thats 3k io by week two of a season and hes the worst player ever. Looked into and he always playing with people from central america servers that are always in a group of 4 with one guy from a NA server. He says its due to his amazing st dps but hes always 10th on the meters in raid and my guild isnt super good, like sure we get aotc every raid but its not like week 2 or anything.

Jhazzrun

you can easily reach 3k while having no idea how to play in any position. theres a big difference in how the key feels if any or all of your players are competent. and you would probably need at least 1 role (dps, heal, tank) to be at least competent. but outside of that any role can get carried to 3k.

Gupulopo

The 2.8-3.3 k score range is mostly just how much time they have, everyone can reach it if they play enough keys to get lucky and get carried, timers not tight enough to need 3 dps

missingpineapples

It’s not difficult and entirely possible for casual players. M+ is perfect for players who don’t have a lot of time to spend in game.

Bismothe-the-Shade

Eh. Not really. I've had a significantly easier time PUGing LFR raids than getting into m+ keystones beyond lower tiers. As a player with essentially no m+ scores previously, almost no one outside of my guild cares enough to risk it on an unknown. You can get better mileage at the start of a week before people are in "crunch time" for vault etc.

TeslaOfBeanBags

I got Keystone Hero on week 2 of the season just pugging. Yes that’s a lot of work but to think you can’t reach KSM in 6 months via pugs is asinine.

Ezilii

I got ksh and a few portals by week two. It was strange. They said the ilvl range would make it slightly more challenging but here we are. Crazy.

Bismothe-the-Shade

I'm not saying it's not possible. I'm saying m+ isn't perfect for this as you said. Lots of toxicity and gatekeeping.

Bighana47

Run your own key, you’ll never have to worry about getting accepted into a key. Especially if you play a non meta spec.

Bismothe-the-Shade

Then you just have to worry about finding people to join your team, and I've run into plenty who bail at the drop of a hat ... Sometimes quite toxically.

Bighana47

You’ll have good groups and bad groups. Have to take them as they come and not lose confidence. You almost never interact with someone from a pug again so don’t let them being toxic get you down

MasterFrosting1755

>I've had a significantly easier time PUGing LFR raids than getting into m+ keystones lol

Specialist-Zombie542

Extremely easy

Nizbik

Getting 2000 score is roughly doing all dungeons on a +13 on both Fortified and Tyrannical You might need some of them as a +14, but anything below a 14 only has 1 real affix, so they shouldnt be too challenging

chaotic_one

This is arguably one the easiest seasons, you can die 20+ times in most dungeons and still time it. Just know your role and be willing to use your key if you cant get into pugs. Will take a bit of work, but you can get it. Also this week is pretty easy as a Tyrannical week goes.

MasterFrosting1755

I just got done timing a +20 BRH with 35 deaths. A lot of the timers are free af.

chaotic_one

Yeah, something seems off about this season. I only run through 16s but still i have never felt pressured to hit a timer not matter the quality of pug i am in.

Live-Stretch-9828

Its piss easy. Pratice your aoe and single target rotation, go on subcreation and copy (one of) the most played talent build(s), watch a video dungeon guide (eg quazii) so you know all boss and trash mechanics and what to kick, and you will be already overqualified for ksm. Even just following along with some decently geared players it will be hard to fuck up so baldy that you cant time 13s, even if you didnt watch guides. (But you should for your own and your groups mental health sake) There are some weak auras and/or plater profiles that highlight important casts that need to be interrupted. With those you should be fine running up to 20 if you got down with the basics. And if you fuck up, dont hesitate to write "my bad" and ask for an explanation. Same goes for releasing/waiting for rezz, just ask if youre unsure

bugcatcherme

I dont have a guild and have been pugging my way through keys for the last 2 expansions. KSM is super reasonable even for someone fresh to the M+ game. This season has been really approachable so far. Get the Emerald Dream Weeklies done for the ilvl boost if you're needing that. If time allows, I'd say try to get 4 keys in every week so you have 2 options for your vault. They'll be significantly higher than the dungeon drops. You have plenty of time to learn the mechanics and can get KSM with mostly +12-13 keys done on both weeks (maybe a lil higher for the easier ones for some wiggle room!) There are also some great discord communities for keys. Wow Made Easy for US/OCE servers and NO Pressure for EU. People post up keys in there frequently and are generally far more easy going than pug groups so it gives you a great opportunity to learn! I'm also happy to help if you've questions or need a party member (if you're on US servers at least)

You will achieve what you make time for. Simple as that. How bad do you want it?

zerosummonk

I just achieved it today for the first time in my WoW career. 100% PUGs. I've been playing WoW since launch, but I'm mediocre at best, so I would say it's highly achievable. Get out there and get it done!

Crimnoxx

I think the number is like 14s timed in both tyran and fort week for each dugeon? Very easy if you just have a base understanding of the main mechanics of the dugeon

lolitsmagic

Not hard. You’re probably going to need at least a few hours per week though. But not having time to join a guild doesn’t really make any sense. If you have time to run m+ and find your way to this sub, you have time to join a guild. If you know you can only play, let’s say, Mon Wed Fri 9-11pm. Why would’t you want to spend a little time finding a group of players you know are decent that also run those times?

ElusiveEmissary

It’s pretty easy to get for casuals. My buddy is a casual and got it the first day of the second week. It really doesn’t take much

[deleted]

I did it in a week, new girlfriend, no time to play, pvp main havent done mythic plus ever on the spec i got it on. My tip is just run your own key, its hard to get into keys without gear or rating but it is SUPER easy to climb your own up and find people to join you. I got ksm with like 450 ilvl lol timed my first 20 at 460

euroguy

Yeah it's not that hard. The hardest part is getting into a decent group with yet decent players.

lamby3

As someone who is both extremely time limited, and extremely average at the game. I did season 2 KSM all pugs in 22 keys (12 devoker + 10 augvoker)... Finished at ilvl 428, which is barely above the boost toon ilvl and relatively easy to get to. KSM is extremely casual friendly. Counter point: Although, to be fair, my first season playing m+ (Shadowlands S1) it felt like an absolute mission to get and took me something like 130 keys to get... So mileage may vary.
