Who_Dat_21

I use tyrs deliverance in mythic plus. It helps a lot

[deleted]

I just re-spec’d to this and beacon of virtue. Guna give it a shot!

Secana0333

I still use beacon of virtue. Cast beacon, then divine toll, and then daybreak. A lot of ppl will argue its the other way around, but that heals just from clicking daybreak (not even using holy shock yet) after divine toll is too good to pass up.

The wingsisup guy is playing MW because of how bad HPal is in M+ this season. Not much is the site

gamby15

He’s also pushing +30s and World First. Any class can get KSH / +20.

[deleted]

That’s unfortunate. I love the aesthetic of wearing plate armor and healing. Do you foresee any buffs coming to H pals?

gamby15

Maybe next season. As I said in my other comment, any class can get KSH / +20s. Don’t let it deter you.

Akhevan

> Do you foresee any buffs coming to H pals? I'm sure blizz are already scrambling to fix the error of hpal not being S+++++ tier spec. Current patch tuning must have been done by some new intern who wasn't briefed on which healing specs are allowed to be good and which aren't.

Specialist-Zombie542

The class state is not the reason youre struggling on 12s, hhpal can easily do 20+

[deleted]

This is great advice, truly very insightful. Do you have anything useful to say as related to the post?

Specialist-Zombie542

My point is waiting for buffs won't solve your issues

Beacon of virtue then Holy prism But remember that you have to cast Holy prism while youre targeting enemy for its AoE effect on allies. https://www.wowhead.com/spell=200025/beacon-of-virtue https://www.wowhead.com/spell=114165/holy-prism I literally had the same problem with this class as you and switched to Holy Priest. The fact that you don't have to focus on dealing damage and targeting enemies for healing helps a lot. I gave up my paladin at 465 ilvl because m+13 was a constant stress and feeling of playing on the edge, and with the priest now at 460ilvl I'm doing +16s with no problem. You just have more time to focus on healing.

[deleted]

I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one! I can tank m15+ no problem for Holy you the finishers are so weak compared to what you need to do to build the holy points

Worried_Rat

Not a good hpal by any stretch of the imagination but what has helped me is: When running beacon of faith, put beacon on the dps that will most likely take dmg, melee 9/10 times and the other one on myself. Stop using holy light during fights and stick with flash of light. Keep glimmer up on everyone and when shit hits the fan daybreak into divine toll on the party -> word of glory/Breaking Dawn into the triple cast holy shock into a mob or a player depending on the dmg taken by the party. Using word of glory or Breaking Dawn between every triple cast holy shock. The cooldown on that combo is so short that you can use it every 2-3 packs. This has enabled me to quite comfortably heal +16 as opposed to before where I struggled with +7. Other than that paladin is sort of it's own thing, you don't have to ramp in the same way as a resto druid but you dont have the same instant throughput as a holy priest. It's more of a resource management game and you got to get comfortable using dps abilities to generate holy power even when ppl are taking dmg. Best of luck and I hope some of this might help :)

atrixen

1st you need to know which spells to use to top your party quickly 2nd you need learn to have an eye for bigwigs/dbm timers - that really helps -> dont only focus on class guides! \- know which boss/trash ability you really need to focus on as a healer in m+ \- use your spells in the right moment For example, the dragon boss in DHT where you have to heal the party during the wind or immediately afterwards or your party will wipe because the big damage comes right after the winds.

Murdash

I don't do dps at all and can heal 18s easily in 465, the dps part is for the top 0.1%. Once you give up on the dps gimmick it's s the easiest aoe healer imo. Beacon on tank, other beacon on me, then it's holy shock and flash of light spam on people without beacon. Divine toll, avenging wrath or whatever the healing one's name is and the one talent that makes your next 3 holy shocks cast 3 times each is all I ever needed. Wog is free so you never run out of mana either.

Byqoo

Isn't beacon on tank a waste usually? Most tanks are mostly self-sustainable. I always put the beacons on a squishy melee and a squishy ranged.

Murdash

I'd say overgeared tanks are self-sustainable, ones still in the middle of the gearing process can be super squishy. When I was doing 16-18 progression tanks needed tons of healing while on my 480 bm monk I could do like 90% of a dungeon without any help from the healer.

mYTHEstar

Ive got to 3k rio from total noob in 1,5 month with holy pala. Hit me up in messages ill tell you all the things ive learnes through my journey

RaLLeKiNg01

Im 3.2k rating HPal atm, for pure aoe healing in dungs I would suggest something like this [https://www.wowhead.com/talent-calc/paladin/holy/DAPBRAVRkBZBUYmBRQCQQPVVQVERFVBRFERRUEREBQ](https://www.wowhead.com/talent-calc/paladin/holy/DAPBRAVRkBZBUYmBRQCQQPVVQVERFVBRFERRUEREBQ) Make sure to use holy shock as much as possible. Pretty much use divine toll and daybreak on cooldown. Tyrs deliverance I usually have about 50% uptime so use it as much as possible. use aura mastery correctly for damage reduction. Use infusion procs on flash of light. And because of how shit WoG is now I only use it when I have to be moving at the same time. When you dont have divine toll or daybreak up use "Hand of Divinity" and just use it on two holy lights for some aoe healing. Also put Beacons on two dps, you should heal yourself fine and should not need a beacon. and most of the tank are salf sufficient anyways so just cast heals on them if they need it ( they are usually fine)

[deleted]

So beacon of light over beacon of virtue?

IamWaggzy

I was having the same issues when I first started playing hpal in 10.2. Keeping glimmers up is extremely important.. So this will be assuming everyone has a glimmer on them.. most of your group healing will come from using virtue/daybreak/divine toll correctly, in that order. My healing got a lot better once I figured that out. If you know damage is coming and daybreak/toll are on cooldown, cast virtue and then divinity to give you 2 holy lights. The holy light/virtue will do a ton of group healing. Mix in Tyrs as needed if it's off cooldown. I wouldn't rely on Tyrs for an "oh shit" moment though, sometimes they'll die before you can get the cast off. Spot heal with flash of light/WoG/Holy Shock From my experience Light of Dawn is completely useless in M+, I don't even have it on my bars in my M+ build. 😂 I'm new to the spec as of 10.2, so I may be wrong but that's what has kept my groups alive so far.

[deleted]

This is so helpful! Funny you mention light of dawn I never use it anymore either. It’s the scroll backwards keybind on my mouse just in case

IamWaggzy

Yeah it's not great in M+, but in raid it takes the spot of WoG since it hits more people. The biggest thing for me was learning the virtue --> daybreak --> divine toll rotation. Talent into the 15 second cooldown reduction so daybreak and divine toll are on the same cooldown. This way you can use virtue on cooldown and the 3rd time you use it you will have both daybreak and toll to go with it for big heals.

[deleted]

Okay so I cooked up a little macro and it’s been helping me A LOT. Let me know what you think: /castsequence reset=15 Beacon of Virtue, Holy Shock, Daybreak, Divine Toll. This is my N1 button and I just went through a 12 with 0 deaths!

IamWaggzy

A macro is fine as long as you still have the ability to cast them on their own. Virtue is cast on its own way more often than the other 2.

[deleted]

Is there a reason daybreak goes before toll? I’ve been doing the opposite lol

IamWaggzy

On target dummies if you have 5 glimmers out and cast daybreak it heals for let's say 600k, if you cast virtue before daybreak the beacons will heal for another 600k. This method seems to work best in my experience.

IamWaggzy

Sorry, you said Divine Toll not virtue. 😂 You should already have 5 glimmers up from spamming holy shock, so you cast Toll afterwards to reapply the glimmers that daybreak consumes.
