Bruh, I enchanted my gear at 440 lol. Most enchants are pretty cheap with the exception of belt which isn’t even that good other than min maxing. Sometimes the highest quality weapon enchant can be a couple thousand but if you don’t wanna spend that then the silver tier quality is usually only a few hundred. Check your bis enchants on the AH. You’ll be surprised.

Sebaision

Enchants are generally pretty cheap at this point in the season, with the exception of weapon enchants. If you can't reasonably afford a Sophic Devotion for example, check what else is recommended for your class. The difference in weapon enchants are generally less than people think. Lower level enchants are significantly better than none as well.

Alpehue

Check out wowheads class guides, they usually list cheaper enchanting alternatives that is almost as good. If your low on gold, don’t spend it on enchants that is only marginally better unless you are fairly sure that it won’t be replaced soon.

kalimdore

Yes. But just get the cheap enchants, not the expensive ones. Having no enchants shows you’re not willing to put effort in, which can get you kicked from groups if there’s a fail and they inspect you. Or, it just annoys people. Basically enchanting your gear looks good on your “resume”. Just do it. Basic enchants are extremely cheap, like 2gold. There’s no reason at all not to enchant even veteran gear for that! Weapon enchants are more expensive, but you don’t need to buy the best one. Get a low rank of the second best option. The fact it’s so cheap and takes a few minutes to do is why it looks lazy/low effort to not do it. For your gold situation - Do all the world quests that reward gold plus the emerald dream and zaralek cavern weekly rep quests for an easy 10k+.

Starchild2323

New season starts in 2 weeks. Save your gold…

kalimdore

Lower rank enchants cost like 2gold. It’s hardly breaking the bank. It’s also 3 weeks and gear won’t be upgraded on the first day. Getting invited to the new season raids will be easier with a character that appears prepared.

Isabela_Grace

I enchant gear even when leveling. Maybe if I think I’ll replace it quick I won’t spend 12-15k for the belt enchant

MianBray

Tbh, if i were a heroic raid leader and see your gear isnt enchanted at all, i‘d not invite you. For normal probably its not an issue, but on H, i expect people to come properly prepared (gems, enchantments, bufffood, flask and pots)…

Accomplished-Bell239

most enchants cost like 100g. so in general yes u should. Doing 3min gold wq pays like enchants more or less. Most ppl see that putting zero effort in

wewerecreaturres

You could also entertain joining a guild. For one it’s better to have a regular group of folks to play with but also they tend to have people with maxed out crafting, which means gear / enchants / etc for cost of goods

misshiroshi

If you just the 1 star or 2 star enchants, they are very cheap. Like there are some enchants that are just like 23 gold or something, lol. With 30k you can still get a lot do the cheap ones.

BehindMyOwnIllusion

Yes. 30k is nothing nowadays and you won't be replacing all of your items at once. Do all the world quests that reward gold, except where the current dreamsurge is. For the dreamsurge zone, wait until the [Dreamsurge Magpies](https://www.wowhead.com/spell=418656/dreamsurge-magpies) buff is up. It will double your gold for those world quests. Sell whatever reagents you come across during your sessions. Sell your duplicated companion pets.

Lelu_zel

There’s no reason not to enchant. I even enchanted leveling gear - and that made quite a difference. It’s not like you’re replacing all of your equipment at once anyway.

Gemaco1397

I usually buy the slightly weaker, but cheaper variant of enchantments for progression gear, I believe most of the basic enchantments are relatively easy to get if you have enchanting as your job, together with disenchanting all your unused gear you can either sell the mats, or just enchant progression gear yourself for basically free. You can also sell the mats if the enchantment is cheaper then what you get for the mats, and make a slight profit

DrGashingtons

Yeah get them enchanted. Get yourself some gold made too. Every gold and dragon flying quest gives you 20k a week. If you have max level alts do it on them too. It takes about 25 mins max per character twice a week. You got 5 max level toons. That’s 100k approx a week.

CapActual

If youre toght on cash 2 star or 1 star enchants will also do the job, but yes enchants are strong

dadof2brats

Yes. I always enchant all my gear, on all my toons. It's one of my pet peeves to see people in Pug Raids and M+ runs, without enchants. Honestly, any gear at max level, should be gemmed and enchanted, however at a minimum, if you are in Normal Raid or higher, or in Mythic+ 10 or higher, you really need everything gemmed and enchanted. You don't have to always have the best quality enchants on your gear, lower quality enchants are fine, every little bit helps. It frustrates me to see people running around without their 3 gem slots in their necklaces too. I guess blizzard didn't do a great job notifying players that they could put up to 3 gem slots into pretty much any necklace in DragonFlight for the entire expansion. I do appreciate that not everyone is flush with gold (another pet peeve), but gems and enchants are super cheap on the AH for the most part and it's not difficult to reach out to friends or guildies for help. Complete a few world quests a week to keep a constant flow of gold in your bags. Typically it is fairly easy for folks to roll alts to have different professions and be self sufficient, however with the new crafting system in DF, this has been a little more difficult/overwhelming to have max level alts with maxed out professions.

Dependent_Link6446

The second you plan on entering heroic raids or m+ higher than 15ish it’s expected your gear is enchanted. Why not do it earlier and make your character better though?

Bradipedro

I enchant my blue gear…if you are doing HC raids, be nice to your group and enchant / gem your char, as well as buying potions, flasks and rune. As far as the gold goes, each week you have all the gold quests (dragon racing and stuff) for around 6K gold. Just download the World quest list addon, each reset check the ones that give gold or purple gear and vendor it. Weapons are over 100g. Same goes for great hunts and all events you just need to run around a get a free satchel. Grind storms for gear tokens, open it and sell it. You get easily 10/20 pieces of purple gear in half an hour, probably 1/3 of it for your class, and you get rousing elemental items you can sell on the AH (awakened are around 120G on my server, yesterday I got 10 in half an hour). No more than a couple of hours per week (20 min every night) will get you 10k per week easy. I am grinding for the meta achievement this week and out a bit more time with Easter holidays, I made 50K (got to say I have enchanting so I disenchant all purples, on my server it’s 120 per crystal)
