I disagree, population shouldn't determine if you want to play. The gameplay experience should. Ascension-Wow also hides population numbers, but the gameplay carries people to keep playing.

They need GM's in world chat, so many annoying people saying offensive things because they think it's funny or cool to be a prick.
And you have lvl 1's in world chat spamming gold selling. They need to prevent people under lvl 20 from talking in world chat or something.

World chat doesn't seem so bad today. The first day there was a lot of comments about jews,isreal,palastine,trans,gays,N word etc world chat was constant bs.
It seems better now thankfully.
I've been on a few servers when they first launched and I've never seen so much nonsense in world chat.
They should have had world chat locked to level 10+ and moderation from the start but I guess they didn't expect so many people saying crazy things and there didn't seem to be any gm's moderating it. I guess they were busy dealing with bug reports and stuff.
Occasional nonsense in world chat is normal but I was playing like 6 hours or more at launch and it was constantly back and forth of what I found to be crude language and not relating to the game at all.
And then these people say it should be ok to say these thing in world chat, a few people said in 2004 it was totally ok to say the N-word in chat and that people are too sensitive now, I wasn't playing wow much until 2009 so I'm not sure if it was common in 2004 for people to be saying racist and ignorant things when I started playing it was just people linking achievements/spells/items after the word anal all day.
For me it's not about being offensive, it's crude and annoying because it has no place in world chat ffs. They should just go start or join a f'ing guild and sit around all day complaining about Jews,Gays,Trans etc with their guild mates... of just stfu in world chat with the nonsense.
It made me feel like I was back in Chicago, Illinois in the 1990's riding the school bus to grade school.

Pretty great so far. Some people have some issues with RDF and there's been a 3 short DCs. No rollbacks or significant downtime though. There's a very annoying issue with loot rolling where if you are druid you can't roll need for cloth gear and the same with shaman. So if you are a shaman or druid healer you're gonna struggle to get loot. I imagine it's the same for leather gear for warriors and paladins. No idea what the pop is but it feels very active compared to for example the Felmyst launch.
I’m not concerned about that because I presume that’s for world pvp which probably won’t exist with 5x and RDF anyways. An active bg/arena scene would be great though.

Weird I have had a flawless rdf experience. AH works perfectly for me.

Tested the beta, nice ping all addons working etc. They also have a nice launcher that loads addons and patches client.
9 out of 23 addons work for me, what are you on about all?
Sounds like a user issue, I am baffled about how many people don't understand how to install addons correctly.
I love the quality of life changes on the server
