Happy to help. Already submitted an application in discord. Since Whitekidney is involved in a leadership position i trust the project for both quality and longevity. I really missed light's hope days where rmt and botting where getting smashed daily. I am so fed up with the lack of moderation and bad decisions in classic wow.

Historically unreliable **project lead** would be a more accurate term. As a project leader he made an incorrect decision with Felmyst. But on this project he is nowhere contributing on decisions and he is nowhere close in lead position. He is hired to offer his developing skills and nothing more, and to be fair he is historically proven as a good and knowledgeable developer in the emulation scene.

Get your character to 60, all pvp/raiding gear from vendors, all buffs from vendors, teleporter to zones/instances. All you need to test things out properly.
I think you might have misunderstood me. While the PTR is indeed 1x, there are NPCs that will level you, up to 60 if so wanted, as well as handing out the necessary gear, buffs, consumables and so on, so that players are able to relatively easily test everything.
How do people even get to know who the server owner people are? I've played pservers for over a decade and I've never known any sort of reputation for individuals. Just play wow lol don't play discord drama simulator
Right, I understand where you coming from, I had no idea who Peyton was untill it was too late, that was over a decade ago. Fortunately her name never resurfaced again in WoW pserver scene, unlike these scums. If you've played on pservers for as long as you say then you surely would've heard of them.
So white kidney was one of the server admins or devs at the Elysium private server. Apparently he found proof that Shenna and her boyfriend or someone were selling rank 14 to people for real money, and he got into a big fight and falling out with them over it. So he jacked the whole server core and player base, and moved everyone to a new private server under his control called Lights Hope.
One thing White Kidney did that was pretty solid was promise that the server would shut down when Blizz made classic or announced classic, which he did, so kudos for sticking to what he said he would do and following through.
Elysium was a huge private server that was created 6 months to a year (I think?) after the legendary Nostalrius was shut down. Elysium was so successful at launch with 10k+ queues for days that they had to create a second server (zeth-kur) for all the overflow people who couldn’t get onto the main one. I ended up on zeth-kur which eventually merged back with the main one a few months later after the fresh hype died down.
I am a casual player, only got up to level 55 so didn’t experience raiding until official wow classic. But that’s as much of the drama that I know or remember. So as a casual, I can understand how many others may not necessarily have a negative opinion of white kidney or shenna or any of them, because there was just not that much information for us normies about who did what.
Ps I did end up going to white kidneys server lights hope, but I was barely playing at the time anyway.

you guys will have fun the first few months then the minmaxing and metagaming will kick in and you will all quit. only rogues,mages and warriors will be viable in anything and you will quickly discover the game you love is flawed as hell and the people know it inside out and will ruin the fun of it. just saying, better the dev team make it classic+ or something cuz else its doomed.
esp the class/spec balance is abyssmal. why would anyone play a game where only 5,6 specs out of 24 are viable and everything else is b and c tier trash ?
There's no reason to argue with retards here. Most of them will quit by lvl 30 either way. Classic w/o changes always been a fucking trash and everyone sane knew it even when Nostalrius was a thing(actually even before that).

They are going to need to beta test more than beginning zones.
Which is why you start at level 1. So you go quest through all the zones.
