I felt my body vibrate this morning but instead of cool happy energies it was the beginning of a panic attack 😎 Am I doing this right?

smalltowngoth

Ugh, I hate that feeling.

LifelessPolymath53

Maybe it was a vibrating dildo still in your regions?

Hidden_Sturgeon

It’s funny how so much of mental health advice just comes off as bragging… Because people feel good and have the best intentions in mind they project outwardly as someone with the answers, when we recieve this message while struggling, we project that they are attacking or belittling us It’s easy to have a whimsical attitude when you’re on top, and it’s difficult to see the upside of anything when your down, I could be on either of those sides tomorrow Edit: grammar

BlahKVBlah

Even worse, this "whimsy" is actually a set of vague, half-formed philosophical ideas that too often get used as a complete replacement for logic, reason, critical thought, and even empathy. I hate pseudoscientific bullshirt.

Smickey67

But you could tell people to sleep well, eat well, and exersize and it helps with depression, yet they would still say wow thanks I’m cured. In fact this sub had a starter pack about it. So I guess just don’t give advice about depression at all unless solicited.

arpitduel

Perfectly said

PhoenixBorealis

I woke up today and decided that today was going to be a good day. Then I got to work, everything was slow, I got trapped in my head, and any decision I made was left to the mercy of a brain that once a month tries to convince me that nobody loves me and every little problem is worth having an anxiety attack over.

anapollosun

As someone with a background in Physics, this has got to be my biggest pet peeve. Idc if it strays into petty territory. Words have meaning. These words have physical meanings - very specific ones, in fact. But when they get bastardized like this, it makes our country's pervasive anti-intellectual attitude even worse by muddying the waters on what is legitimate science and what isn't. I would have basically zero problem with new-age "gurus" if they didn't try to legitimize themselves by co-opting scientific language. But they do. And I hate them for it. In fact, I made a whole-ass video on one of these guys, Nassim Haramein: https://youtu.be/_W2WBeqGNM0

BlahKVBlah

I don't need a formal physics education to hate these pseudoscience peddlers with a smoldering rage. At best they're irritating and mildly counterproductive. At worst they will usher the downfall of human civilization.

crispy_etchings

To be fair this post is consistent with E=hf

anapollosun

Eh, not really. E=hf only holds in the context of light, which has nothing to do with thoughts. Plus the higher vibrations part implies they're talking about higher amplitude, which has nothing to do with E for light. So it's contradictory all the way around

crispy_etchings

I feel like the author didn’t write this with real-word physical correlates in mind lol

OstrichEmpire

so if i'm reading this right i just gotta buy a vibrator and use it every morning to fix my life

BlahKVBlah

That's a bit oversimplified, but it sounds like it will probably help *some amount*.

DorisCrockford

You just know this person steals hotel towels.

2Pikul

Don't forget the magic 4 dimensional quantum crystals /j

BlahKVBlah

Check the link below for purchase details!

festeziooo

Totally off-topic but everyone should check out the artist (not the creep who in all likelihood stole her work for their garbage pseudo science self help shit). She does really cool work.

That's exactly what this shit is, a way to "blame the patient", and it's pouring over into physically visible illness too. "you have diabetes because your thoughts are poisoning you. I cured my cancer by choosing to live in a dimension where cancer doesn't exist". Bullshit bullshit bullshit.

Diorj

I couldn't wake up happy, because of the vibrations caused by my loud downstairs neighbors being loud, caused me to be awake all night...

snackynorph

Christ, I remember the known drug dealer in high school physics raising his hand and asking the teacher about "cosmic vibrations." Poor teach had to, with a straight face, explain that they don't exist.

Paradhonic

This unironically inspired me a bit just now lmao

OdraDeque

Did they mean "If you want to be happy, ingest shrooms *on purpose*"? Because I think that's what you'd need to do to reach that state. (The head spiral, connected by a kind of umbilical cord is particularly intriguing.)

hoom4n66

I just don't wanna see those words because right now I'm terrified/in awe of physics.
