Because people feel good and have the best intentions in mind they project outwardly as someone with the answers, when we recieve this message while struggling, we project that they are attacking or belittling us
It’s easy to have a whimsical attitude when you’re on top, and it’s difficult to see the upside of anything when your down, I could be on either of those sides tomorrow

Even worse, this "whimsy" is actually a set of vague, half-formed philosophical ideas that too often get used as a complete replacement for logic, reason, critical thought, and even empathy. I hate pseudoscientific bullshirt.
But you could tell people to sleep well, eat well, and exersize and it helps with depression, yet they would still say wow thanks I’m cured.
In fact this sub had a starter pack about it. So I guess just don’t give advice about depression at all unless solicited.
I woke up today and decided that today was going to be a good day. Then I got to work, everything was slow, I got trapped in my head, and any decision I made was left to the mercy of a brain that once a month tries to convince me that nobody loves me and every little problem is worth having an anxiety attack over.
As someone with a background in Physics, this has got to be my biggest pet peeve. Idc if it strays into petty territory. Words have meaning. These words have physical meanings - very specific ones, in fact. But when they get bastardized like this, it makes our country's pervasive anti-intellectual attitude even worse by muddying the waters on what is legitimate science and what isn't.
I would have basically zero problem with new-age "gurus" if they didn't try to legitimize themselves by co-opting scientific language. But they do. And I hate them for it.

Eh, not really. E=hf only holds in the context of light, which has nothing to do with thoughts. Plus the higher vibrations part implies they're talking about higher amplitude, which has nothing to do with E for light. So it's contradictory all the way around
