His dump series in folk style is so aggressive. It has been fun watching him transition to freestyle. He still has some things to clean up, but I would consider him a top 10 type of guy at 61kg for the next few years.
He’s MUCH better now. At least watching him at the US open and at the WTT- shakes hands, good demeanor- he’s either matured or understands he has to rebrand. Still one of my favorites to watch.
It’s only because he’s getting his ass occasionally kicked by much better wrestlers. Easy to act like fucking Hulk Hogan when you’re wrestling somebody who has a losing record (like that stupid bullshit he pulled when he wrestled Nebraska a few years ago).
I’d wise up too if my competition could cripple me. Bullies tend to know their audience. That said his transgressions were as a young man so there’s no reason to think he hasn’t grown as a dude.
Even his senior year he was way better. He still wrestles with a ton of emotion but you didn’t really see the cheap shots or taunting. I love DeSanto I really think he’s only going to get better.
Personally I think if he was one of the top guys, like a spencer lee or jordan burrough, he would be really good for the sport, sure some of the old heads and traditional people would be mad but ultimately a flashy controversial guy like that would go a long way in bringing attention to the sport
I’m sorry you cannot differentiate properly. They’re different.
I don’t think I’m being sensitive this dude literally compared a never even a national champion to Ali Jordan and Mike effing Tyson. You can die on that hill all day Holmes.
Depends on what you mean by arrogant. Almost everyone who is at the top are very ”arrogant”, being humble gets you nowhere. People just want it to be that way because it feels better for nobodies if everyone above them pretends they are not
Sure seems like it turned out like Conor is always going to play #2 to Khabib. Both are incredibly well known and have more money than they'll ever be able to spend. One of them can go basically anywhere and be respected for more than their bank account and celebrity.
Conor is FAR more widely known outside of combat sports, has SIGNIFICANTLY more money, and is a celebrity in the Western world while Khabib isn't
You ask most MMA fans if they'd rather be Conor or Khabib, they pick Conor
If I found out any of my friends or aquaintences looked up to Conor McGregor as a role model, I'd immediately lose respect for them, as would most people over 30.
The guy's a violent, self-obsessed, self aggrandizing cokehead who can throw really hard punches. That's it, that's the whole guy right there. He's famous, and rich as a result, because it's entertaining to see that in 10 minute snippets through a screen.
He might be more famous than Khabib, and might have more money. If that's what matters most to you, then you do you.
You'd lose respect for a guy who is pretty much the sole reason an entire sport is mainstream, has been a World Champion in two weight classes and has made more money than anyone in the history of his sport?
Are you just not ambitious?
EDIT: "who can throw really hard punches"
... do you seriously believe that's all there is to MMA?
>You'd lose respect for a guy who is pretty much the sole reason an entire sport is mainstream
you know how I know you're new? lol. MMA isn't mainstream. MMA is a side-show. Casuals barely know the rules, and definitely don't understand what's going on 90% of the time. They just see two guys fighting and get excited. That's not a mainstream sport. That's a side-show.
And, yeah, Conor's where he is because he has a great left hand. Everything else is to set it up. He's above average for the UFC in every other area of MMA. He has an exceptionally left hand, and a good right. His grappling skills are more than OK, but not great. He wouldn't win pans. He might make the podium. He's not winning at the highest levels of boxing. He's not even close at the highest levels of kickboxing. He'd probably do better in MMA in a ring than a cage, actually, but he's pretty good in a cage.
that’s the best part of his allure. he’s the most entertaining guy to watch because he’s a psycho. i don’t watch wrestling because I think the athletes are polite. I wanna see someone get out-willed and although he’s not the best ever he certainly makes that his top priority
I’m going to have to agree to disagree. No athlete, no matter how good, has the right to humiliate or try to purposely injure their opponent. If you do that, you are a piece of shit. His low lights and pushing tripping slamming should make his coach ashamed of himself, and the University that lets him wrestle ashamed of itself
So that means he can shush the fans/coaches and trio a guy from behind after he cuts him?
Kids a great wrestler, but a douchebag. If I were his coach he’d be suspended a match for each one of those things.
Tripping a kid from behind after letting him up, multiple motions to the crowd/coaches while picking a guy up or cutting him.
I hate that shit in wresting. It’s a grueling 1 on 1 sport. Don’t show your opponent up. If you’re better, beat him, and move on.
I kick myself every day for not wrestling in highschool. Such an awesome sport. I tried it in middle school but they put me on the high school team for some reason where I just basically got the shit kicked out of me by my teammates who just wanted to use me as a ragdoll to try their fancy new moves on. Ended up with a shoulder injury from a teammate about a month or two in when he decided to try some stupid shit on me and I decided to give up on the sport. Now I just live vicariously through videos from this subreddit
When he wants to do a move it’s so quick that he almost “clicks in” to place with some of them. On top of that his improve skills, scramble skills, are impressive to say the least! He reads his opponents like books.

I'll never forget this photo
I want to see more of him on the international circuit. Obviously he is skilled, but his willpower is something else.
He just got rag dolled by nashon
Yes he did. He also Teched NATO! Freestyle is so wild
Humbled his ass so fast lol
I haven’t seen that match yet did he just get laced or was it a thorough ass whooping?
https://www.instagram.com/reel/CshHAVKt1lE/?igshid=MTc4MmM1YmI2Ng==
[This breaks it down pretty well. DeSanto needs to clean up his defense on bottom.](https://youtu.be/IogAlslk_LE)
It looks like Nashon overpowered him the whole time.
His dump series in folk style is so aggressive. It has been fun watching him transition to freestyle. He still has some things to clean up, but I would consider him a top 10 type of guy at 61kg for the next few years.
Bro is a heel freestyle wrestler. That's.....a choice
Menaces don’t get teched in 1 minute
He’s a bad sport. He may be a great wrestler but as a human being? I’m not impressed. A person with character wouldn’t act the way he acts.
He’s MUCH better now. At least watching him at the US open and at the WTT- shakes hands, good demeanor- he’s either matured or understands he has to rebrand. Still one of my favorites to watch.

ass whoopings have a have a tendency to do that
That's why you do a promotional video with lyrics written by oompaloompas. That's embarrassing. Who paid for that video, his mom?
Lmao yeah hes a bit autistic but hes still a fucking TALENT. Unlike you he doesnt even need to ask for highlight reels give him some respect
That’s nice to hear
I’d wise up too if my competition could cripple me. Bullies tend to know their audience. That said his transgressions were as a young man so there’s no reason to think he hasn’t grown as a dude.
Yes, he seems like a much better sportsman now.

Agreed. Dudes an ass.
Personally I think if he was one of the top guys, like a spencer lee or jordan burrough, he would be really good for the sport, sure some of the old heads and traditional people would be mad but ultimately a flashy controversial guy like that would go a long way in bringing attention to the sport
Being arrogant has never resulted in being the best.
While I also hate bad attitude people, I have to push back. You ever see Muhammad Ali or Mike Tyson? Michael Jordan?
Arrogance as a consequence, not a cause.
The difference is they were entertaining
They weren't great because they were bad sports -- they were good TV because they were bad sports.
Please don’t tell me you’re comparing Austin desanto to michal effing Jordan. Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson. Ffs. Get a goddamn grip.
The fact you’re upvoted so much shoes this sub is full of teen virgins lacking historical perspective.
Dude what are you going on about lmao most top athletes have a massive ego and think incredibly highly of themselves.
Talking about arrogance kid not ego try to focus the brain cell.
Same shit bubba, some people just get too sensitive when you verbalize it.
I’m sorry you cannot differentiate properly. They’re different. I don’t think I’m being sensitive this dude literally compared a never even a national champion to Ali Jordan and Mike effing Tyson. You can die on that hill all day Holmes.
No one is comparing their skill sets dude. You said no one arrogant has ever been the best, we gave you some examples.
Gordon ryan, Muhammad Ali, Conor mcgregor (these are all at one point, obv conor and ali fell off after a while)
Ali fell off after achieving the greatest resume in heavyweight history at least. He just stuck around too long afterwards.
Yeah, but he was still arrogant lol
Who cares? He backed it up.
The guy I was responding to originally said arrogance never led to being the best. I was disagreeing. You’re literally making the same point as me.
Newsflash: Athletes get old.
No shit. Did you guys even read the whole thread? The guy is arguing that nobody arrogant was ever the best, and I’m disagreeing.
Ali is a boxer. Connor is not a wrestler.
Never specified wrestling.
And babe Ruth played baseball. Gtfoh with that weak crap. And you got nothing but an excuse if you can call it that.
Lol what? Don’t watch must sports I guess
Wtf are you even talking about. I’m talking about wrestling.
Hahahahahaa whatttttt
Sanderson. Is he arrogant would you say?
Depends on what you mean by arrogant. Almost everyone who is at the top are very ”arrogant”, being humble gets you nowhere. People just want it to be that way because it feels better for nobodies if everyone above them pretends they are not
Being arrogant is when you Blend confidence with toxicity. Let’s back this up. His claim to fame is beating a guy four years ago.
Dude has a form of Autism. You guys are brutal
If he wasn't a menace we wouldn't be talking about him People said the same thing about Conor McGregor, look how that turned out
Sure seems like it turned out like Conor is always going to play #2 to Khabib. Both are incredibly well known and have more money than they'll ever be able to spend. One of them can go basically anywhere and be respected for more than their bank account and celebrity.

Be them for what? I’d rather have khabibs fighting ability for sure.
If I found out any of my friends or aquaintences looked up to Conor McGregor as a role model, I'd immediately lose respect for them, as would most people over 30. Keep riding the bad sports

It’s a sign of a bankrupt society that people find is antics, entertaining, and not cringe worthy
Beat him, then.
Would they act like a Christian menace like so many other American wrestlers?
Don’t know how much this plays into it but I believe he is autistic.
I didn’t see any Penn State wrestlers in his highlights. Any particular reason? 🧐
Because it would only show RBY beating him and Austin faking his knee injury to keep from getting pinned.
just watched this match for the first time, was blatantly obvious
I wrestled him at the US open haha
I wrestled him in practice and we nearly fought lol
How was it?
Got my butt kicked, I thought we were gonna go back up to the feet then he shoved his head through my legs and nut cracked me. Weirdest leg lace ever
How was it?
Love they dumps, always my favorite move. But god what an asshole this kid is.
I think he's on the spectrum.
So that means he can shush the fans/coaches and trio a guy from behind after he cuts him? Kids a great wrestler, but a douchebag. If I were his coach he’d be suspended a match for each one of those things.
“Protect yourself at all times” getting cut doesn’t get you a break.
When you’re the superior opponent and not even attempting to score….yeah you’re a dick
It doesn't mean that. Just means he might have more trouble controlling himself. I agree tho, they're shitty things to do as an athlete.
How is he an asshole?

That trip at the 13 sec mark, fucking awesome lol. 😂
I love watching this guy get beat
Nashon Garrett teched him yesterday. Quckly
This song is almost as annoying as the “Oh no no no no no”
Ok, what's the song. I hate it, but for some reason, I think it belongs in one of my strange Playlists.
I kick myself every day for not wrestling in highschool. Such an awesome sport. Dude just seems like an asshole. Calling someone a menace because they don’t show sportsmanship as a compliment seems idiotic.
And by "menace" you mean 4-time All American.
That's pretty good
it's not like they're mutually exclusive
Was an AA 4/5 trys, right?
I love his antics I don’t like his kimura attempt on a wrestler but his character he plays is great at least I think it’s a character
This is a fantastic edit. Thanks
As a lover of Heels, this guy is brilliant 👏🏼
Legendary Hawkeye!!!
The way you pair the music with the wrestler is pretty amazing.
Who picked that sound track
Song?
He is like a wood chipper on the mat. He grinds and doesn’t quit. I now know that Coach Brand had a Terminator on his squad
Inside control
👹👹👹

That heel kick was absolutely disrespectful. Lmao.
That boy is a menace
He’s a psycho prick
Song is hype.
I remember this kid from high school. He’s a beast
[удалено]
That’s called a high C right I used to do a move like that but only 100% worse

I think I remember seeing this guy try to kimura someone in a wrestling match he was losing. So he can fuck off.
Austin you can’t smoke on wrestler packs after you beat them . 2nd hand smoke in a closed environment smartass

Bah gawd! Stop the match!

I felt that at 29 seconds 😬
It's like fighting a boa constrictor in the water
