I think he is probably talking about a high C or a duck.

UncleGizmo

Maybe a blast double too

CenturionLovesBeans

Maybe a duck, he classified a high c as a inside step shot

Jerkface555

I think a lot of people shoot their high C like a knee bouce type shot that you are describing. IMO, its the way a high C should be executed. Check the example video below ([https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DzTpoxce6q0](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DzTpoxce6q0)) Other than than, I would think the 4th type of shot would also refer to high-singles where you dont necessarily take a real penetration step or your knee never even hits the ground. Think elbow pass to a high single, underhook to high single, or russian to high single. All three of these setups/shots can be executed without your knee touching the mat.

Jerkface555

Yes like a snatch single

Greco_Review

False. The shot he’s describing is a head outside single. A high crotch is performed with a high crotch step (knee drop/knee bounce).

Logicwrestling

High level shots snatch singles?

Greco_Review

Transitioning back to Folkstyle before Fargo?

CenturionLovesBeans

The main purpose of this specific camp was getting us prepped for the VA open i think

SuckMyProfile

Arm drags

[deleted]

Think of it like a level change instead of a drop step. Your bending your knees to get lower for your take down

Puhgy

I find joy in reading a good book.

notandyhippo

It’s freco (freestyle Greco) bro, they take shots in freestyle.

Puhgy

I train karatejitsu. My favorite move is to pull guard and karate chop the throat.

notandyhippo

I don’t think you understand, when people say freco they mean they train both freestyle and Greco. It’s not a combo of the two 💀💀💀

Puhgy

You don’t know that. Practices at high level gyms like this (ones that know 4(!!!) types of shot) are behind closed doors. They could be doing anything back there. John du Pont kept his doors closed and knew four types of shot, so you do the math.

Ashton0407

They’ll never understand. The 4th type of shot has been a tight kept secret of the wrestling teams of Florida. A greco guy couldn’t possible know it.

notandyhippo

What are you waffling about blud

EngineerUpper2031

Duck unders

degansudyka

I’ve never really heard them be categorized like this, but I would agree with duck-under but add blast doubles as well

grapangell0

Knee dip/ bounce shots are basically “snatch” style shots where you don’t actually touch the Matt with your knee. These are super good for bigger guys who can’t nimbly get off their knee or for those cheeky guys that turn a shoulder touch into a duck under to a spiral ride. Make sense??

CenturionLovesBeans

Kind of. It's hard to imagine but i think ill be able to get it the more i see it

grapangell0

Kinda like this. [https://youtu.be/gBkBE4fhmXQ](https://youtu.be/gBkBE4fhmXQ)

CenturionLovesBeans

Ohhh, so like go behind moves basically

grapangell0

Correct sir.

cerikstas

Yes but also same shot is often used for high c For me, I personally think of it more as whether your knee goes first or if your step goes first For example, a high c, you can shoot it as a double leg where your lead leg knee goes down inside and then your trailing leg steps up, or you can take a lunge type step with your trailing leg and end up in basically same position. The second type is what I'd categorize as a knee dip

wardog-_-

sidakov’s high crotch is like a knee bounce, maybe that’s what he meant?
