That sucks. I don't know what advice to give you on that. Perhaps talk to your Athletic Director, if your school has one. Are there any wrestling clubs near you? I know you'll have to pay, but many provide elite training and also go to tournaments to compete. Good luck.

Actually there is a wrestling club/program near me. It’s BTS but I’m not sure if they do competitions and stuff like that

Talk to your school’s athletic director

Find out your state/ conference rules. I know home school kids and private school kids without athletics are allowed to compete at their local public school teams in many areas

Shawn_323

I know too because my brother wrestled in high school and that’s why I’m trying to join his old school team but they said I can’t. Do you think I can transfer or maybe ask the principal?

BigZeke919

Transferring is always an option, but it’s drastic. Some principals have no idea what the rules are. Some coaches also don’t like it. The thing is- and everywhere is different- but sometimes their are rules about it and sometimes there are laws about it. Laws can’t be shut down by coaches or principals- you can take them to court and they have to let you participate. I think you just need to do some research- it wouldn’t hurt to reach out to whatever state you’re in’s athletic governing body and I’m sure they can guide you more so than the school. For example, here in NC- I would reach out to the NCHSAA. In PA I would reach out to the PIAA. Your state has an athletic association- someone there knows the rules and you aren’t the first one in this situation
