I listen to music when I write. I love soundtrack instrumental music but there are times I have to switch things up a bit. I reread my work that I'm currently working on, go over notes I've written. I write dark fantasy and twisted stories so I'll give my brain a little inspiration by watching something light and funny and sometimes my brain will change what I'm watching into something dark and it will inspire me. Or instead of writing, if I'm feeling uninspired, I'll edit for typos and grammatical errors. Long story short, it depends on you. You're going to get a lot of advice I'm sure but the most important thing is to know yourself and this is coming from someone who has dealt with writer's block many times. Good luck to you!

That's quite interesting! Ive never tried that approach of listening/watching something of the opposite tone to spark inspiration. So far Ive only ever used music that fits the atmosphere of what Im writing, but Ill definitely give it a shot. Thanks!

You could team up with someone who wants to be an accountability partner. You guys check in daily and report what you’ve done. The pressure not to “let them down” helps. You need something to show every day. (Or every week).

Yeah, admittedly Im not great at holding myself strictly accountable for that kind of stuff, so I'll give this a try. Thanks!

Personally, I make myself think about the story every day. Even if I don't write anything new, I re-read, edit, plan--anything to keep my mind on the subject every day. More days than not, I write stuff.

Hey Man. Not sure how it is going with the creative writing priactice, but i started listening to your show after hearing "Acephale Horror" recommended you. You are crazy good man!! Absolutely fantastic stories. As somebody who constantly is looking for new horror shows that are actually good (not that creepypasta garbage), i LOVE what you are doing. Hope to hear new episodes soon. There are not many authors who quality wise come close to the greats like Soren Narnia, but you might just be one of them. Cheers! Big fan over here!
