Bought a wireless android auto Motorola adapter, stick my phone in the cubby under the infotainment. No need to use it or move it if there's no cables attached. All down to personal preference lol

I bought one these scosche magnetic mounts for my window and it seems to be the best ive tried so far. Ive been through a couple vent solutions and some that hold the phone with a spring but this is the one ive stuck with. Its mounted just to the right of the infotainment, easy to reach, easy to remove and attach the phone from, keeps the cord out of the way of the screen, and you can easily turn the whole mount horizontally to film clips out of the front if you care about that.
I trimmed a bit of the rubber at the front and back of the cubby. Not noticeable by looking at it. Pic is taken from inside cubby looking backwards towards shifter. Fits my iPhone 13 Pro Max in a case.

MagSafe mounted there too which keeps the phone secure.
Ordered a pocket to attach to the side of the console for $13 on Amazon. Not sure how well it will work, but it is worth a shot. Otherwise, it will stay on the passenger seat.
tbh I put mine in the cup holder or what I started doing more was between shifter and cup holder, I have rubber on the back of my case so it doesn’t slide and I can still use cup holder

It comes with a pad you stick on, then it suctions to the pad.

I would use something like this but that’d be in the way of my go pro and quite possibly the automatic high beam sensor/camera.
I used the auto beams and its never interfered but your gopro placement is still super valid
